Fuse Rocks the Garden with The Cure

From TV Week:

Fuse, a music television network from Cablevision's Madison Square Garden division, will reprise its live concert series, “Fuse Rocks the Garden.” The series, commercial-free and shot in high definition, will feature a performance by the Cure, part of the band’s tour in support of their upcoming album release. “Fuse Rocks the Garden: The Cure” is set to premiere Friday, June 20, at 11 p.m. ET on Fuse.

So I guess this is a delayed "live" broadcast? Can I get a dvd copy from anyone? Please?

  2. I'm going to record it on my DVR...but I don't know how I could get it from there to my computer so that I could burn it to a dvd

  3. me want DVD too. (unless "catch" is part of the set - then i will need that edited out).

is it bad form to say that? sometimes it's tough to read the sensitivity of the room. if "catch" is one of your faves, i apologize if i have offended. More Hanging Garden and less Catch is all I'm saying.

  4. I'll take whatever you've got. I'll even take Wrong Number. : )

  5. Damn, this new poll was pointless. UTS is killing everything else. And rightfully so! : )

    ReplyDelete
  6. Craig - maybe you need to change the poll, "what is your second favourite song?"

    ReplyDelete
  7. I'm with Elise! As soon as I see the poll options, I didn't even think before choosing UTS. IMO that song is as good as the best ones on Disintegration. :)

  8. i want dvd badly too!

damn it, why dont i have cable anymore??! oh wait, i think ill just watch it at my friends house, and record it on a vhs there the old fashioned way.

andrew - im sure aaron (curedtc2) on youtube will find a way to put it up, hes good with vids ^_^

  9. UTS is BETTER than anything on Disintegration. :-)

I think the poll should read, "Which do you like better, Simon's PHTs or Bob's SBS?"

But seriously, is someone gonna record this for us or WHAT?

  10. I'm not a massive fan of "Kiss Me", mr. salty, but I've always absolutely adored "Catch". I'm not offended, though. :) I'm sure I risk offending people on a regular basis with my list of the songs I dislike.

I hadn't quite finished reading your post...and, lo and behold, I've never cared for "The Hanging Garden". I really dislike it. :)

  11. Cat - there would need to be another option on that poll - BSC!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  12. I like the poll! More polls please!

    ReplyDelete
  13. How long is the show? An hour? The full thing?

    ReplyDelete
  14. SBS - Smelly Black Shirt

    BSC - Bobby Sans Clothes

    Oh god, I'm ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I love it when we talk in TLA's

    TLA's = Three Letter Acronyms!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Cat - LOL! Thanks for the explanation. You're not rediculous, you're creative!

Hmm, now that's a tough call, can't say which one I'll vote for...

    ReplyDelete
  17. C'mon, Jen - it has to be BSC!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Sooner or later, there has to be a dictionary of COF TLA's.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Girls, you need to get back into the FS thread... Craig has a special message for us and everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  20. LOL, Elise! But I do love his SBS! This really calls for a vote.

    ReplyDelete
  21. yes, i am sure craig is going to do a poll on the front page.

    Which is Your Favorite:

    Simon's PHTs (Penis Hugging Tights)
    Robert's SBS (Smelly Black Shirt)
    RSC (Robert Sans Clothes)
Por's UFDGU (Porl's Uncle Fester Drag Get Up)
    Jason's PSL (Perpetually Stoned Look)

    ReplyDelete
  22. LOL! I'm sorry but that's too funny!

    ReplyDelete
  23. if you think about it, jason DOES look stoned all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'm still gonna go with BSC!!!! I had my meeting this morning to discuss the "BSC Transition" project and giggled like a little girl everytime I said BSC.

Told the guy I was meeting the reason I was giggling - I think he is planning on having me committed. BTW, he is a Simon too.

    ReplyDelete
  25. jason's - perpetual stoned look - ROFLMAAOOO. that one nearly killed me!

not that you do mention it..

    ReplyDelete
  26. sweet, if I end up going, I will run right in front of the cameras and do a big shout out to COF! lol

    ReplyDelete
  27. elise, that is HILARIOUS!

the cure has infiltrated your work life in a very surreal way.

if i were at work these days i wouldn't know what to do with myself. "shut up kids, i'm trying to watch simon work his PHTs"

    ReplyDelete
  28. i meant now* instead of not

is it just me - or drummers have the weirdest faces when they drum?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Pre-eyeliner days, I always thought Jason looked like a complete surfer dude (permanently stoned)

    ReplyDelete
  30. cat - its like midnight over here, and im studying for finals. my mom just asked me why i burst out laughing.. that simon comment is just too funny, i can just imagine you saying that

    ReplyDelete
  31. elise, he DOES look like a surfer. i have often said that. he screams california surfer.

dj, if only i had you for a student - you would understand! :-)

actually, there was a guy at the last school where i taught that wore a pornography t-shirt a lot and we used to chat about the cure. he would come by my room and we would talk about it during my planning. come to think of it, why wasn't he in class then? i never thought to ask. *calls school to implement retroactive punishment for skipping class*

    ReplyDelete
  32. my attempt to translate the never before translated first verse of Catch:

"doo doo doo doo doooooo doo dooo dooo dah dooo dooo dooo doo dooo doo dah ahhhayaah"

ack - a complete translation failure.

    ReplyDelete
  33. i think the cure prefers blonde drummers lol

cat - you teach language arts/english right? id love to be in your class, i learned nothing in mine this year. its hard sneaking a cd player in class, stupid ipod spoiled kids! but i needed the music for inspiration, it was so DULL. and tommorow we're doing workbooks *shudder*. for nearly two hours. good thing i brought pornography and disintegration. off to bed now, i had a really weird dream last night and all i could remember was that it involved a fieldtrip and COF. all this late night chatting is affecting my sleep!

    ReplyDelete
  34. And boy does he know how to work those PHT's

    ReplyDelete
  35. DJ - The COF field trip is gonna happen next year!!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Any word, Craig, on the length of this thing? I want to say I've seen a Foo Fighters one that was an hour long, with commercials.

    But...?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Tyler - no idea, this is the first I've heard of it.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'll do what I can to find out what is necessary to get things from my DVR to my computer so that I can make DVDs for all of you who want them

    ReplyDelete
  39. And, Andrew, don't forget to do some visual effects manipulation with garish colors bleeding and lots of grain and distortions...because we all loved it when Robert ruined the 2005 Festival DVD with that stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  40. What, altr2elise? I'm being serious. You don't love that stuff?

    :)

    ReplyDelete
  41. Muldfeld - I love it when I am doing the housework and I catch glimpses of it, but I get a headache if I just sit and watch it :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. just to sound stupid, but this is from the msg gig? if so me wants a copy as well!

    ReplyDelete
  43. i know no-one knows me from Adam - but could i get a DVD of this too?

i have one or two cool things i could send back!

    ReplyDelete
  44. I will draw something cool for anyone who send me this DVD.

    ReplyDelete
  45. indeed please dont leave out the aussies!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Hi J, good to have a fellow Aussie on CoF. Where the bloody hell are you - in this great southern land?
    I'm in Perth.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Or just stick the DVD up on a torrent site so that we cam all have at it!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Andrew: most DVR's (especially those provided by cable companies) use digital encryption which makes it impossible to transfer footage to your computer :( FYI

    ReplyDelete
  49. I have a DVD recorder, that I'll use to make a DVD, which I then will share on DIME if it's not already done by the time I get to it.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Also, note that it looks to me that they're only broadcasting an hour of the show. Probably from the start of the show, since it'll still be happening when it airs.

    ReplyDelete
  51. We have recorded many programs on our TiVo and transferred them to DVD, so this should be easy!

    ReplyDelete
  52. My local cable company took Fuse off the lineup earlier this year. I'll have to see if the other local cable company still has Fuse.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I have at&t broadband cable and internet, and I'm pretty sure there's a way to put anything from my DVR onto my computer...i'll have to check for sure, but I will definitely do my best! and i will send them to whoever I possibly can, as long as the cost of buying blank dvds and shipping them afterwards isn't too costly...something in return is not necessary, but would be much appreciated!

    ReplyDelete
  54. I am glad someone finally explained PHT. I looked it up and thought it was:

    Urban Dictionary:
The sound made when u cut someone deeeeeppp; relating to how to get dat papa, pht is used for people who need to get sliced n' diced with everything nice

    ReplyDelete
  55. If I had a DVD Burner, I'd do it. Some DVR's now have a feature which enables you to record a program to a DVD.
I'm sure in the great wide world of our COF, someoue out there will be able to burn copies?

    ReplyDelete
  56. LOL, NM...Andrew. I am so late to the game sometimes... :P

    ReplyDelete
  57. Set my DVR to record!
Thanks to COF for the info.

    ReplyDelete
  58. i'm setting my dvr, too. ill see what i can do about a dvd, guys.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Oh cool! Thanks for the info craig! I'll have to set-up my DVD player never done it so far so I hope it works. I should set-up my VHS machine too just to be safe. Can't wait to see it!
