Night 6 of the LatAm 2013 tour. We're in the homestretch now, with the final 3 shows in 5 days. First time ever in Peru, and another massive stadium show. Not sure how many are expected tonight, but it should be another enormous crowd.

Tonight's schedule: Doors open at 5, Kinder at 6:30, Resplandor at 7:30, The Cure at 8:30. Check the local time in Lima here or with the clock over there on the right.

Hope to have the live updates tonight, but with the trouble everyone is having getting a signal at these shows, I'm doubtful things will change tonight. I'll give it a shot, and hope that I can piece it together from random reports. At the very least, we should have the setlist posted after the show. If anyone who's going to the show would like to attempt to help us, especially with the song by song live setlist reports, please contact me. Post in the comments, email me at craigatcof(at)gmail(dot)com, or on Twitter @CraigatCoF, or use WhatsApp (email me and we can set it up). Thank you so much, and enjoy the show!

  3. Guess more than 40,000. Bigger audiences in LatAm than in Europe or North America where they usually play arenas. Would be equal if playing stadiums in big cities, I think. And if they tour the whole world, they'd gather between 3 and 4 million people. You think I'm mad ? Look at figures if past tours in Europe, North America, Australasia and now Latin America... Indie band with a public sized like for mainstream groups but with a big difference... Cure fans rock !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. So...off subject, but KMKMKM on red vinyl is showing up for sale on Ebay before RSD... as usual ($70 and $160). I've seen two for sale so far...but the interested thing is one of them is XXXX/4000 and the other is XXXX/3500.

Any know if there are different pressing amounts released per country? Maybe US has 4000 and UK has 3500...or vice versa.

On a side note, I think it was interesting that nobody in the press noticed that last year for RSD 2012, The Cure released and sold the most amount of vinyl on that day over any other group. Between the five represses in the UK (limited to 2500 for each record), there were 12,500 records sold and Entreat Plus in the US was another 5000 records. That's 17,500 records...heck, if you consider they repressed Entreat Plus off their website and had a few other represses through Music on Vinyl, I'd bet they sold over 20,000 records in 2012.

I think the most anyone else pressed for RSD 2012 was the Foo Fighters with 10,000 copies of their record, Medium Rare....just saying...it's great that they can still turn out the numbers on vinyl sales and support record stores.

Robert should be the RSD ambassador next year!

  9. a very emotional night. Robert choked up during Disintegration. The Kiss was huge, intense, beautiful. Fight, powerful. It started out a bit off feeling. I havent heard Robert mess up so many lyrics in one show.

  10. It was perfect! 3 encores!

Robert almost cry during Disintegration, very emotional. Push and Fight were very intense. The crowd went really crazy with 10:15 and Killing.

3:30 hrs of Cure! Lima loved the show!

  11. I was forgetting... on the beginning of Bananafishbones Robert tried to play a zampona (an andean instrument) instead of the armonica
    It was great and funny!!

  12. Review from Carlos:

"What can I say about the show? Perfect!!! The long awaited was a dream, yesterday was REAL.

The Cure performed for us a perfect show. Not about the during time. The band played with a real professionalism… Robert show us like him… like we know him… the venue spectacular: near 38000 people that lived the concert.

About performers, the Robert´s selections was the better. KINDER perfomed 25 minutes their instrumental shoegaze… good!!! RESPLANDOR nice!!! I like this band. Now with a female vocal. They played in NY Festival at 2011. So, they demonstrated why Robert selected them.

    8.50pm The Cure OPEN!!!

    Sounds and lights perfect!!!

Finish 2nd Encore, Robert was very emotional remembering to Gary…

The dreams of a lot of people now was real… hard to sleep of this another dream… The Cure makes us dream a lot… forever…"

  15. The barcods are different, so there are definately more than one pressing of these. One would think that it's a country thing...probably pressed a total of 7500. Which sucks, because since I collect them, now I'll have to buy two....one at a store in the US and one from the UK...unless, you are in the UK/ EU and want to do a trade. I could probably get two copies of the US Version pretty easy. Last year, Entret Plus was hanging around record stores for months and they only pressed 5000 of those for the US....let me know!

  16. Hello Mike, thanks for the link, yes its weird, i must have both of these to. I have the one who is limited to 4000, made in eu. And i can easily buy one more for you, I can trade with you, when do you think you can buy these two us copies?
