00:25 - @fons36: "amazing sound (100 Years). They sound even tighter than pinkpop. End. The song ; not the show hopefully:-)"
00:10 - @fons36: "reeves too low in the mix (Hungry Ghost)"
23:57 - @fons36: "crowd going wild at a forest"
22:24 - @fons36: "almost dark here 22:24 local time. 30 degrees celcius. Hot. Thunderstorms all around but still dry. Crew setting up gear."
22:06 - @fons36: "elbow just finished. 40 minutes till the cure."
21:19 - @fons36: "Merchandise at #rw12"

Thanks to Fons (@fons36) for the live reports tonight.

Skynet will have a live webcast from the festival, but still no word on whether or not The Cure's set will be shown. Details at Festileaks (English). This says The Cure will be included, but that's not official. (Thanks @annefrankd & @RijanMulder)
Update: The Cure have given permission for the live webcast tonight, but only the first hour. Watch here.

  3. I'm hoping for Bird Mad Girl to cheer up my dreadful last 7 weeks!

  4. that would be pretty cool if Robert joined blink 182 during their set and they did "all of this"

Mark Hoppus tweeted about how excited he is that the cure are playing https://twitter.com/markhoppus/status/218386016896159744/photo/1

  5. Channel 2 never works for me. Really wanted to watch Garbage. Channel 1 works fine, though.

    ReplyDelete
  6. The Cures Facebook says skynet will broadcast the set

    ReplyDelete
  7. Both channels are working for me I'm pleased to say. As you Yanks say Blink 182 really do suck.

    1. Hmm, wonder what's wrong with mine. Both channels work, but only #1 gives me a live stream. #2 gives me the same ad or preview, over and over again, says no live stream.

  8. Is it 22:45 0r 23:00 the Cure go on? The Skynet page says 23:00.

    1. Official Werchter page says 22:45 - 00:35. They were originally only given 90 minutes (23:00 - 00:30), but have apparently been given a bit more time.

  9. Is this ripped off Lets go to bed?

  10. Channel 2 has now stopped working completely. Must reboot.

  11. Elbow really are dismal band. A Northern version of Coldplay.

  12. If all else fails then gin is the answer.

  13. Checking in for the live show, WOOT!!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Belgiums look like peeps you'd want to hang with! :)

    ReplyDelete
  15. Which channel are they going to be on?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Looks like they're just running filler until the Cure come on - on Ch.1

That's my guess. (i hate the raps)

    ReplyDelete
  17. There's filler on Ch. 2 as well.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Show hasn't started yet. Think they are showing them on both channels.

      Delete
  18. Well, I guess The Cure has started, but it's still filler for me on the live stream...

    ReplyDelete
  19. Ah, there we go. Kinda stupid that they cut into the middle of Open.

    ReplyDelete
  20. We keep getting the first hour of these shows....I want the whole thing! LOL. Would like to see the other songs live... :(
But I am grateful for this!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Anyone think we'll get any additional Wish songs on the tour? I'm dying to hear Cut.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yaaay! I'm sad though because I have to finish an experiment in 15 mins, so I'll miss some!

    ReplyDelete
  23. forever first hour but i want to see one hundred years and disintegration!

  25. Wish we'd get the last hour of a show

    ReplyDelete
  26. wish I could pick a setlist. would be much different....
the live stream isn't working for me...anyone ?

    ReplyDelete
  27. It took a ridiculous amount of time for the commercials to finish and for the live stream to begin, a stream which is seriously lagging, at least on my computer. :P

    ReplyDelete
  28. Okay...I may be a minority in this...but I am way over 'End of the World'. :(

    1. I could do without hearing it live for awhile, but I'll always have a special place for it in my heart because it was the first single after I became a fan.

      Delete
    2. I didn't really like any of the singles from the self-titled album. The Cure should have made 'Labyrinth' a single.

      Delete
    3. For sure Labyrinth is so much better than T.E.O.T.W

  29. Would it be fair comment to suggest that Robert is being very gracious in allowing the shows to be streamed live?

Possibly in return for the rights to use the footage for a 2012 tour DVD release along the lines of 2005's Festival DVD?

    ReplyDelete
  30. A 2012 festival DVD would be great! I watch/listen to the 2005 one all of the time!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Reeves guitar has been turned up certainly. Or just a better mix perhaps?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Even though my timer is going to ring in a minute, I am going to wait until after Push to finish my experiment.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ahh Push. Here's a song that will never get boring.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Robert just seems so happy on this tour!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Robert looks like he's really sweating up there. 75 degrees F in Werchter. Someone put a fan on him!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm so happy "Doing the Unstuck" is a regular setlist occurrence. I couldn't believe it when they played it at Radio City in 2008.

  41. I'm still getting serious lag even though I reduced the quality of the stream. What the heck?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Closely following the setlist of Southside so far. If that means we'll be getting If Only Tonight We Could Sleep, then that's fine by me.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Nothing like a dose of live Cure to wipe out my shit day.......:)

    ReplyDelete
  44. LOL, just as I post that, Craig links to the leaked official setlist. No IOTWCS then... :(

    ReplyDelete
  45. I love the long ending to Just Like Heaven :)

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'm awaiting like a little child the moments reeves is taking over the sound..i want him much more influence, he's just like i always wanted to hear that band for real i guess...

    ReplyDelete
  47. Nico, notice the note that says that the songs on the list equal 101 minutes, and makes note of the fact that they have 110 minutes. It sounds like there's going to be room for a short one or two song encore.

    ReplyDelete

    1. True, but it won't be on the livestream in any case.

    1. The best FtEotDGS has ever sounded :)

      Delete
    2. That sounded pretty good yeah. Reeves is still a bit too low in the mix for my tastes, but the song's sounding better and better with each show.

      Delete
    3. Did you ever heard "Show" or Wish Tour bootlegs? There FTEOTDGS was incredible. The version on this tour is good, not more.

  49. I am loving the sound of that Schecter 6-string bass. The newest addition to Robert's gear is definitely a resounding success.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Haha...I do love Robert's strange little dances!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Yay, I didn't miss it entirely!

    ReplyDelete
  52. 9 mins...enough time for bananafishbones? Let's hope so...

    ReplyDelete
  53. YaY!!!! Bananafishbones!! LOVE IT!!

    ReplyDelete
  54. oooh it's an hour, will they cut out in the middle of the song??

    ReplyDelete
  55. Is it just me, or is Bananafishbones getting all the more punkier and rockier as these shows progress?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Definately is. Hopefully they'll dust off a few more songs from The Top!

    2. I loooove what they are doing with it.

  56. Oooh, I love hearing the crowd singing with the keys on Play for Today!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Meh, cut out in the middle of Play For Today. Lame. Ah well, can't complain. It's been fun again.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Gotta say the video and sound quality was A+ for me. Great hour!

    ReplyDelete
  59. how could they cut this half way...shameful!!!

    ReplyDelete
  66. ok..we've seen more exciting encores, but I'm sure they played a few more diamonds as they have had the time. but I#m glad anyway, they seem to get better from time to time, even if Roberts voices is loosing a bit the longer they're touring, though.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Yes unfortunately Robert's voice isn't good as on the first shows
