  2. I'm so ready for tonight. Its my only show of the tour. Hard to believe its been 8 years since Fairfax, 12 years since Curiosa.

Roger, if you are reading this, please ask your frazzle-haired band leader to break out 'The Kiss'! :)

  5. So, 5 of us are here in line and it looks like doors open at 5:30, however, there is a password to gain entry at 4:30 as what they call a Gate Crasher. Anybody know the password?

    2. From Swedefour: According to box office its special invite via email you would have had to pre reg for this-might be a email club signup.

    3. From Swedefour: regarding gate crasher- I have a 930 club FWB card and will bring it with me - others should do the same

  8. I guess it's cool to hate on Wrong Number now? It's funny how anyone speaks poorly about any show gets pounced on by certain sycophants, yet when some people don't like WN, then hey- we all must not like it, right? It's a tour with Reeves- OF COURSE they're going to play WN, and I didn't mind it at all!

    1. I don't hate Wrong Number myself, but I'd like to see it in either once in two shows or once in three.

  9. Lighten up, it's a joke. Been a running joke for years now. And long before Reeves joined.

  10. Oh, I know its a joke, believe me.

  12. I was deeply touched when I read in the Twitter feed that RS struggles with holding in the tears. I assume he was referring to ICNBTS. There is absolutely no shame in crying, nor any reason to try to suppress the feelings. It is unfortunate that society deems it unseemly for men/boys to cry in public. Far from a sign of weakness, being unafraid of unveiling one's vulnerabilities only underscores an unshakable inner strength. It continues to baffle me how RS is able to maintain his composure night after night while performing this deeply personal song in front of thousands of screaming fans. It's incredible how he is able to tune out the audience, not just on this song but on many others. It's likely a cathartic experience, one that involves the inevitable shedding of tears. I think he had a guitar emblazoned with the phrase "live to the point of tears."

    1. He said after the song that he has to learn to hold back during that song. Here's what he said, best I can decipher.

"The last song is a new one.... haven't quite... haven't learned how to hold back....so..."

When the song was over, he put his guitar down and hurried off. Could tell he was struggling... but as you said, who can blame him?

    2. I guess he already anticipated that he would be emotional before the song even started...I saw some of the pics taken at the beginning of the show, I could be wrong but it seems like his heart was heavy right from the get-go.

    3. He was happy most of the night, making a lot of faces and interacting with people in the crowd, particularly those who were taking pictures/video. He goofed with Reeves a bit, and was teasing Simon at the end of A Forest (he wouldn't stop playing, and everyone else was just kind of watching; Simon kept doing his bassline, waiting for Robert to finish)

    5. Thanks for the heads up. It's hard to tell from grainy images/footage what the band members are feeling. Each show is an emotional roller coaster ride - goofy and joking one moment, tears the next moment. :)

  13. This is completely off-topic, but with the historic vote set to take place tomorrow (today) in Britain, obviously the band won't be there to cast their ballots, but I wonder if they have any strong feelings about the issue and what side of the fence they might be on....or perhaps it's not on their radar screen (doubtful). There seem to be striking parallels between the Brexit debacle and our current presidential election.

    1. Providing they are U.K. residents and are on the electoral rolls and have voted at least once in the past 15 years, they are welcome to send their ballots in by post.

    2. Simon has a slogan on his bass amp, "ENGLAND AWAKE", so his political inclinations are easily inferred.

    3. I figured they could submit an absentee ballot...not sure how that worked since they've been on tour, but I have no doubt they were able to come up with a workaround. Thanks for the heads up on the England Awake slogan...I did notice it and was wondering what the heck that meant. You're a genius!

    4. If only I could put THAT on a resume...damn. :) I've always wondered if anyone noticed the sticker RS had on his guitar in 2008-2009, the one that read "Free The West Memphis Three". I don't really want to explain it if most everyone already knows what it means, but I definitely agreed with RS on that one.

  14. Maby the most soft-pop Cure show. Thats O.K. but not for all friends.

  15. I thought he lost his voice near the end of the show.

    1. Yeah,he was losing his voice with some regularity on the 2008 dates, maybe because of Porl's excruciatingly loud guitar. He definitely had trouble hearing himself and had to use his own head as a monitor until the levels were fixed.

    2. I think it's too many shows in a short period. Need to take breaks between each. Robert is not getting younger. Struggling @ times. Slow down...

  16. The setlist is missing "Lullaby" (in between "Dressing Up" and "Fascination Street" - 3rd encore)

    1. Yes, I noticed that too...Lullaby was mentioned in the Twitter feed but accidentally omitted from COF main site.
