  1. What a great setlist! Mixture of the Bloodflowers and Wish sets. Now something like this is what I want at Wembley Night One. Plenty of rare songs being introduced now :).

  3. Awesome awesome show! At first I was worried about the Open/End bookends, because those often mean safe, poppy shows on this tour. How glad am I to be proven absolutely wrong this time! Other Voices (fuck yes)! Charlotte Sometimes! Last Day of Summer! 39! Three Imaginary Boys! Seventeen Seconds encore! And that in addition to the regular gems like A Night Like This, Shake Dog Shake and Burn. Too bad we didn't get any new songs or Want, but that's a small price to pay for a show this magnificent.

We were right in front of the stage, near Roger. The band was so full of energy, and even though it was obvious Robert was saving his voice, they all seemed to have loads of fun. Nice of Robert to call out Holland for being one of the first countries to love The Cure and playing some retro songs as a thank you.

All in all I loved it! Can't wait to see them again in the future.

  4. Great concert...sound, lights and setlist! I thought crowd for the most time was quite passive. Many people who were sitting not far from me, seemed to come to hear greatest hits only! Luckily true fans were rewarded with the songs like Other Voices, LDOS, 39, Burn, At Night, M... It is remarkable how Robert is still capable of singing high pitched on so many songs. From The Edge Of The Deep Green Sea was a real cracker! Long live the Cure and thank you for such an amazing show!

  5. I've been a Cure fan since 1984, and, when the American tour started I thought that by the time the European dates arrived, we would have heard at least a dozen of new tracks. This has not happened and I do not think it will happen. I do not understand the purpose (by the way i understand, if you know what i mean) of this tour, since there is nothing new to promote. Come on Mr. Smith, please your ardent fans with what's to come (if there's really something to come).

    1. I was hoping for more new material as well, the two songs they have been playing are hardlly new now. As I have said before it is unusual for a band to do such a large world tour without a album to promote. Then again if the last couple of albums are to go by, I'd rather hear the older songs anyway! I'd be happy for more Pornography/Faith songs in the set list, oh well....

  12. I attended the show. It was great for me because some real old Cure songs were played. The sound was fantastic although Robert sang a lot of songs in the safe mode. No news songs as promised.

But....I want to say one thing: what a great drummer Jason is.

  13. Except for the first bits of Open, before the singing... Jason seemed to have lost count, because he did the heavy cymbal hitting at the wrong moment several times. You could clealy see Simon was annoyed by this, shaking his head. Jason's a fantastic drummer though. Awesome show
