If you're still looking for tickets, I will be posting any last minute offers on Twitter (I'm @CraigatCoF).
good effort - how many are you doing in total?
ReplyDelete10 in the US. Not completely ruling out doing something crazy, and trying to get to London. It's a real longshot, but telling myself "maybe". :)
Deletesee you in london then...
DeleteHave a blast all and you to Craig !! I joke with hubby about flying to London as well !!!!

DeleteI think you should come to London and meet your British fans. Mind you, I'd be VERY happy with last night's set!
DeleteDo it! Just the six for us - NYC later this month then London. Can't wait - loving the varied setlist this tour.
ReplyDeletefor me i'm doing
ReplyDeleteKC
Chicago x2
Montreal
NYC night 1
Madrid
Lisbon
You caved and decided to do msg after all?!
DeleteYeah. I would've preferred the Boston gig TBH. But Boston is expensive and I have a billion friends in NYC
DeleteAre you Periscoping too? :D Have a blast!
ReplyDeleteSigned,

Hell no! When I'm at a show, I'm on my phone as little as possible. Send out the song title as fast as I can, maybe a quick photo, but that's it. If there's a rare song or tour debut, I may record it, but probably not. And certainly not tonight.
DeleteYeah. ^_^ I can't imagine enjoying the show while scoping. It's very kind of people when they do but it takes away from enjoying the performance I would think.
DeleteI'm with Craig on this. I'm fine tweeting song titles, but I'm too excited for the show to scope or film. I think if I made a video, the sound would be some Cure, the rest just me singing along and cheering.

DeleteWelcome to Denver, Cure fans! Let's hope for a great crowd tonight!
ReplyDeleteHas anyone who has been to a previous show noticed if they had youth sized merchandise? I'm bringing my daughters to their first, and hopefully not last, Cure show.
ReplyDeleteNo...they haven't had youth merch and sorry to say but the small is very big still you may want to ask for a xs....I'm not sure they have any
DeleteThanks! Ladies small it is.
DeleteLol!!! Yeah that should work..enjoy
DeleteAnyone going to the meet up?
ReplyDeleteGood luck getting a non-safe show guys! I'll feel bad for you if all they play is great songs!
ReplyDeleteSettle down Randy the Dandy
DeleteHave a great show Craig
ReplyDeleteI'm here tonight!!! I just heard some sound check
ReplyDeleteWhat did you hear?
DeleteI heard two songs... I thought it was Charlotte sometimes or other voices... Could of been wrong

ReplyDeleteWe are overdue for a Bloodflowers night. I hope that they play The Last Day of Summer and the Bloodflowers bookend set.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you got your wish...so far this is my favorite show of the tour (on paper).
Delete...and it just got better!!
DeleteThey could play 'Japanese Whispers' for the rest of the set and I wouldn't care. This is incredible!
DeleteHuh? Getting Japanese Whispers would be incredible, too: The upstairs room, Just one kiss, Lament, Speak my language...
DeleteThis isn't directly related to the Denver show, but just had a bizarre Aha! moment. It just dawned on me that the designs on some of the shirts, particularly the ones resembling flowers might be a direct representation of the Fibonacci sequence. I initially thought the shirts looked very Bloodflowers-esque. The very perceptive fans who are already familiar with the sequence may have already noticed this. The spirogragh type patterns consisting of dots are no doubt symbolic of the sequence as manifested in nature (for example pinecones, flower petals etc.). The numerical sequence can also appear in the form of a spiral. I might be delusional but in one of the images shown during a live performance of a particular song (forgot which one), there appear to be crudely drawn orange-ish spirals in the background. Could that be a subliminal message? Or maybe I'm reading too closely and going nuts? In either case it will be interesting to see how the Fibonacci sequence dovetails into the new album's theme (assuming there is a new album..haha). I've always been fascinated by the intersection between science, nature and art.
ReplyDeleteIs it nuts to respond to one's own post? I forgot to ask if current tour merchandise will eventually be made available online. I was too impatient to wait in the long line at HB and as a result did not buy the merch. I don't think the band is $$ hungry as far as merchandise sales, but there is tremendous potential to move a lot more merchandise if it is made available for online purchase (with reasonable shipping costs).
DeleteMuch better setlist so far. I want to see this setlist at the 1st london show

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that they didn't play Alt.End for you in Denver, Craig...
ReplyDeleteBest one so far. Glad you were there, Craig
ReplyDeleteHope to get one just as great in NYC.
Set list roll up?
ReplyDeleteWonder, if Watching me fall or some other epic was cut spontaneously, because the main set seems pretty short with only 16 songs played. Anyhow, nice setlist.
ReplyDeleteI agreed, I think they cut 'Watching Me Fall', which is a 12 minute song live
DeleteWow is all I can say!!!

ReplyDeleteRobert sings of the heart to "it can never be the same". I think it was not the same from other times.
ReplyDeleteAlmost perfect :)
ReplyDeleteJust found out this website to download the Periscope videos: http://www.downloadperiscopevideos.com/
ReplyDeleteThank you, thank you Misty for the awesome scope!!! It was a treat to wake up to this morning!
ReplyDeleteCraig, are you at 20 years now for Chain of Flowers? I can't believe I've been following your site for that long! Through my 20s,30s, now 40s, OMG. Thank you!

DeleteThat was just blow the doors off crazy! Loved the Forest jam. The fan next to me was bawling with joy. This is truly an insane tour.
ReplyDelete..no wrong number! wtf? ;)
ReplyDeleteSo excited to be driving down from Canada for the show tomorrow. Haven't seen them in almost 20 years. There are amazing seats(within the first 5 rows!) going for below face value on resale sites right now.
ReplyDeleteMy friend and I will be on the rooftop patio of the Ox Cart Ale House beforehand as well if you want to join us for a pint. I'll be the bearded guy with the Disintegration shirt on ;)
DeleteJust saw the set from last night...
ReplyDeleteWTF? No 'Weedy Burton'???
Ha ha... I would say the 'Craig' factor resulted in one hell of a set list. I mean that 1-2-3 punch of Summer/Cold/Strange Day...
That's worth the ticket price alone.
Does anyone get the feeling that Robert just hits a 'random organizer' button on these set lists?
It's high time for another tour debut, come on Minneapolis, make it happen!
Thought it odd that Lullaby got tacked onto the 4th encore instead of the main set list where it usually appears. Seems like they selected the same subset of songs from Bloodflowers that have been played previously, wonder if they had already predetermined which songs from each album will be played, i.e., not all songs from any single album will get exposure. Set list pretty strong but once you get to the last few encores it seems to fall into a definite pattern. Summer was good but RS seemed a bit distracted at times...wonder why he suddenly turned around at one point to look at Jason. The best performance of this was the first one at Houston followed by the one at HB. Finally I couldn't help but notice this venue, at least from the photos, looks a bit more "posh" than most others. Probably a reflection of the local economy/neighborhood?
ReplyDeleteThey must have known craig was coming..... :)
ReplyDeleteLast night was my 7th Cure show. My first was in Miami, during the Wish tour. Last night's performance was their best since my first time in 1992. The atmosphere at a Cure show is incomparable. Robert takes us on a roller coaster of sensations and emotions from tears to joy and everything in between, with everything he has. Robert's goodnight came with his declaration that we would see him again. With that, I left with a smile and a night I could never forget. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteOh ya..... thanks for playing "wrong car "
ReplyDeleteYou guys are an unbelievable. THANKS TO THE CURE.... I FOUND A FAVORITE BAND...
As always. The cure... un real. It's always magic in the air when they play.
