NME's 100 Best Songs of the 80s

The Cure came in at #8 ('Inbetween Days') & #53 ('Just Like Heaven') in the NME 100 Best Songs of the 80s.
(Thanks Perfect.Murder and Darrell)

Update: The Cure also came in at #7 on NME's 25 Reasons Why Everything Was Better In The 80s list. (Thanks Pom)

Gui Borchert on his Secret 7" design

Perfect.Murder purchased Secret 7" #595 by Gui Borchert and contacted him to ask about his design. Here's his response:
"The idea comes from distilling the song into two icons: Friday and Love, hence the colour red. I wanted to build a sleeve that felt as delicate as a heart ( Love, much like a Friday, often starts and ends before we can really enjoy it all the way. So the idea is a sleeve that can break, crack, scratch, depending on what you do with it. I hope that makes sense. :) " (Thanks Perfect.Murder)

He also contacted about his designs (042, 190, 398, 456 & 539). His reply? "They are all Robert Smith. That's all I can tell you." Okay. : )

A GOOD OUTCOME I THINK"

Jared Leto wants to work with Robert

From Gigwise: "Asked by the magazine (Rolling Stone) who he'd most like to work with, Leto answered: "I'd love to do something with Eminem. That would be pretty mind-blowing." He also said that he would love to collaborate with Bjork, The Cure's Robert Smith and Sigur Ros." (Thanks @john_malloy)

Update (4/23-25): Perfect.Murder reports that Rough Trade East in London still has 15-20 copies each of the 5 Cure colored vinyl in stock.
And from @crawleyrocket - "I got all 5 RSD albums at Rough Trade East last night (24/04/12) and there were still plenty of copies of each. 17 Seconds only had about 5 but the others had up to 20."

In hopes of helping other fans find them, if you see the UK Record Store Day Cure colored vinyl releases today, please let me know the store, city, etc. Photos would be nice, too. Thanks!

Photos - All 5 / Three Imaginary Boys / Seventeen Seconds 1 - 2 / Faith / Pornography / The Top 1 - 2 (Thanks Marion and Guillaume)

Dom found Faith at Flashback in Crouch End, London. Had all 5, but only The Top & Faith left when he arrived.

Guillaume - "London. Bought the last 3 (TIB, 17, Top) at Sister Ray. Found Faith & Pornography at Phonica. They still had some."

Marion - "got all 5 Cure vinyls at and Rough Trade East had loads of all 5 cure vinyls left when I was there this afternoon! They had alot of stock."

Le Felt Yannick - "found the 5 coloured vinyl for record store day in imagin shop (langueux, brittanny ,France). great day for a big fan."

Matthew - "I got 4 of them at Rise records in Bristol, one missing was Seventeen Seconds that I got in DaDa in Chiswick (yes I was doing a road trip yesterday), but Dada did have a few others left in stock. I cant recommend this shop enough a proper music shop run by people that know music"
