Also, Olivier will be joining the tour starting tonight, so please be sure to check out his updates at It's A Perfect Day and on Facebook.

  7. Last Day of Summer?!? Whoa! I wish they'd play The Big Hand. I love that song. Tattooed the A Letter to Elise artwork on my arm for that b-side

    1. Guess he is trying to quell the "last tour ever" rumors ... Or just messing with us?

  10. Would have loved to have heard them perform "Halo" last night in Austin, so maybe there is a chance they will play it some time on this tour. Hint. Hint. ;)

  11. Amazing show! Loved it! If I can be critical, no rare songs, would've thought a sold out show would get a few rarities

    1. Come on, 'Last day of summer', 'M', 'At Night' al, in the main set. Playing to the lowest common denominator in the first encore by playing two songs they have only ever played in single figures in their entire history. Nobody knows what is coming next on is tour, it's great!

    2. I think I might have been still drunk when I wrote that. It did seem very pop heavy other than that run of songs. And the first encore. Maybe it's the 'Saturday Night Set'

  15. I've never liked the Love Cats live but last night they nailed it. Roger's piano playing and Robert scatting like a madman (and later doing a 2-second Tom Waits impression!) they seemed to really be enjoying the lengthy pop set.

  17. I enjoyed the show. I have seen them in Houston every time since kiss me. I enjoyed the song selection as well. BUT- last night's show was the least best sounding show. Up until the later encores the sound was muddy and bottom heavy. The drum hi's were nonexistent and the guitars were buried under the keyboards. Most of the people there for the Top 40 songs in our area on the floor left early. That was OK I guess since we were on the floor.

  18. I was in Austin and Houston, and will be n Dallas tonight. Twilight Sad is great! Exploding Boy in Austin was great. Last night, when they played Inbetween Days and Just Like Heaven so early in the set, I thought they might be up to something! I've never liked "Never Enough", but it is sounding great. Simon's energy is phenomenal, and Reeves is the perfect guitarist for The Cure. He is a virtuoso who takes over when the song asks for, but he is clearly there to serve the song. He is amazing.

    3. If you've missed the debate Reeves vs. Porl before:

      https://youtu.be/f_aVMIuTn98

Both are great. (Although I miss Porl's sensitivity and artistic contributions.)

Hoping for a less "poppy" set and more "fan" song set at Miami shows!

  20. thanks so much to Space City Shows 2 for filming and playlisting the whole show, I watched the whole thing, very enjoyable! Great sound and close-ups, looks like RS and the band really enjoyed this show as well. The extended greatest hits patch during the encores felt glorious and deserved too, and there were many nice surprises in the main set, looks and sounds like it was an awesome show x
