Robert says they've decided to do different songs both nights, although we don't know that yet. :) So all of the usual suspects that were skipped last night, probably expect them tonight?

If you are going to line up early, we would appreciate occasional updates on how long the line is. Will post more info throughout the day.

As always, I'll be posting the live setlist on Twitter, connection permitting, and they should appear in the widget above. And I will get everything updated when I get home from the show.

From Lakefront Arena:

ALL RESERVED SEAT TICKETS DO NOT HAVE FLOOR ACCESS.
FLOOR TICKETS DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO RESERVED SEATS.

Those guests with a Floor / General Admission ticket should enter under Ramp 4 at the Ground 4 entrance. Guests with reserved seats can enter up Ramp 1 or 4.

A wristband will be distributed upon entering the building to patrons with FLOOR tickets. Patrons must be present to receive a wristband. Both a wristband and floor ticket are required for floor access. When a wristband is received, the ticket will be punched, designating that a wristband was issued for this ticket. Wristbands will not be "re-issued" for any reason.

  1. Three of us lined up now :)
I stupidly brought my iPad with me without thinking if I can leave it in anyone's car for me to pick up after the show? :/

  5. My 'bet' is more Disintegration songs, possibly a 'Faith' or 'Kiss Me' encore? Would be surprised to see the same encores again. Hoping you guys get a 'Pornography' encore...it's been what 16 years since they did one of those?

      The Kiss
      How Beautiful you Are
      A Thousand Hours
      Fight

  6. I know we aren't fans of scalper sites, but it seems that prices have been going down tremendously as the show date gets closer. You can get a pair of tickets for tonight's show as low as $25 each (fees included) on StubHub. I'm pretty sure this is below face value. I'm hoping that the same happens for Hollywood but it's doubtful.

    1. I think it's called desperation.
I just checked StubHub and there are a total of 2,200+ tix available for the 3 Hollywood shows combined. It's probably why they sold out so quickly. Highly doubtful the scalpers will be able to unload them all in time for the shows. I too hope for the same thing to happen when the show rolls into town. Maybe not for the prime seats but for those less picky you could probably get a good deal.

    2. I'll already be attending five - Bestival Toronto, Montreal, and all three NYC shows. I think that's enough, at least for my weeping bank accounts. ;)

    3. I'm debating going to Boise the day before the SLC show. Just need someone to join me.

    1. i agree with you...if they would play Faith in the encores the setlist is almost perfect!!!

    2. I saw them perform 'All Cats Are Grey' and 'Faith' in Toronto in 2000. :)

    3. OMG now Other Voices??? You're gonna get your Faith encore! OH MY GOD. I'm dying.

  27. Aaaaaand the setlist comes to a gigantic THUD lol. Oh well, after everything else they played they could do anything and it'd still be the greatest night ever.

    1. I think that it's really odd to end a night with 'Wrong Number' and to have a 'Faith' encore without 'Faith', but overall this setlist looked outstanding.

      Delete
    2. Never mind! They're not ending with 'Wrong Number'!

      Delete
    3. Yes! Good thing, would've been a shame to end on that sour note... and yeah. Faith encore w/out "Faith" is indeed odd. But wow what a night!

  28. Tried to live vicariously as much as I could. This was a landmark evening. I can only hope the show(s???) I go to is anywhere near this good. Hugs to everyone who was there, you are lucky bastards!! :P

  29. Such a great show tonight. Floor felt a little more crowded than last night, but everyone was harmonious for the most part. Did anyone else catch the lady with the puppet?!

  30. Also, it was kind of hilarious to see Simon getting annoyed by the overpowering fog machines during Plainsong. Little bit of a Spinal Tap moment there, but glad to see him and Roger laughing a bit about it.

    1. Loved when Simon looked genuinely annoyed by whatever happened at the start of plainsong!

  31. Oh man. What a day. That was hands down my favourite Cure show, that setlist was as close to my ideal setlist as I could ask for without it being 'too sad' I think! So many little mistakes and jokes between the band that made everything so much better, too. Although there was a little part of me that almost died inside when I thought Disintegration was completely lost to whatever error was made but it was completely salvaged :)

So great to meet everyone I got to meet! And I'm so sorry I'm terrible with names and can't remember right now but thanks to the two lovelt ladies who dropped me home!
