Robert talking about doing different songs at both shows, but we don't know that yet. :) pic.twitter.com/awu5VA1OPd— Chain of Flowers (@CraigatCoF) May 11, 2016
Robert says they've decided to do different songs both nights, although we don't know that yet. :) So all of the usual suspects that were skipped last night, probably expect them tonight?
If you are going to line up early, we would appreciate occasional updates on how long the line is. Will post more info throughout the day.
As always, I'll be posting the live setlist on Twitter, connection permitting, and they should appear in the widget above. And I will get everything updated when I get home from the show.
From Lakefront Arena:
ALL RESERVED SEAT TICKETS DO NOT HAVE FLOOR ACCESS.
FLOOR TICKETS DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO RESERVED SEATS.
Those guests with a Floor / General Admission ticket should enter under Ramp 4 at the Ground 4 entrance. Guests with reserved seats can enter up Ramp 1 or 4.
A wristband will be distributed upon entering the building to patrons with FLOOR tickets. Patrons must be present to receive a wristband. Both a wristband and floor ticket are required for floor access. When a wristband is received, the ticket will be punched, designating that a wristband was issued for this ticket. Wristbands will not be "re-issued" for any reason.
Three of us lined up now :)
ReplyDeleteI stupidly brought my iPad with me without thinking if I can leave it in anyone's car for me to pick up after the show? :/
Crisis averted
DeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteHave fun (again) everyone!
ReplyDeleteLast night was fantastic! Some songs i havent heard in ages live. New songs were promising to boot.

ReplyDeleteCurious how the setlist will change tonight...
ReplyDeletewhatever happens you'll have heard too many of the songs before and be somewhat unhappy.
DeleteI'm betting Empty World.
DeleteMy 'bet' is more Disintegration songs, possibly a 'Faith' or 'Kiss Me' encore? Would be surprised to see the same encores again. Hoping you guys get a 'Pornography' encore...it's been what 16 years since they did one of those?
ReplyDeleteI'd love a Kiss Me encore of
DeleteThe Kiss
How Beautiful you Are
A Thousand Hours
Fight
I know we aren't fans of scalper sites, but it seems that prices have been going down tremendously as the show date gets closer. You can get a pair of tickets for tonight's show as low as $25 each (fees included) on StubHub. I'm pretty sure this is below face value. I'm hoping that the same happens for Hollywood but it's doubtful.
ReplyDeleteI think it's called desperation.
DeleteI just checked StubHub and there are a total of 2,200+ tix available for the 3 Hollywood shows combined. It's probably why they sold out so quickly. Highly doubtful the scalpers will be able to unload them all in time for the shows. I too hope for the same thing to happen when the show rolls into town. Maybe not for the prime seats but for those less picky you could probably get a good deal.
On another note, does this tour have a name or are we just calling it the 2016 Tour?
ReplyDeleteFart tour ( tobert le teubé de bordeaux en france )
ReplyDelete+1
DeleteEXTRA GA TICKET FOR TONIGHT! $80 cash. Brazilian girl # 30 in line!
ReplyDeleteBeer money!
ReplyDeleteIs there a program/tour book tonight?
ReplyDeleteYes, and it's $10.
DeleteThank you!
DeleteBeer money!
ReplyDeleteI predict Disintegration heavy tonight!
ReplyDeleteAnyone gonna periscope? iris? I think plainsong tonight!

ReplyDeleteWatching hey marseilles! And rogue wave tonight, not cure related but wish I was there a time tonight's show!
ReplyDeleteLet's do this!!!
ReplyDeleteIs anyone periscoping?
ReplyDeleteEisonhawk is scoping https://www.periscope.tv/Eisonhawk/1mnxePNkngoJX

DeleteClosedown! Wow! Cant wait they are pulling out some gems!
ReplyDeleteInteresting...are they doing a front to back Disintegration?? I doubt it but first three songs make you wonder...
ReplyDeleteNope! Nevermind!
Deletei was thinking/hoping that too!
DeleteI'm not complaining about this setlist thus far!
ReplyDeleteWell, other than 'The End of the World'. ;)
Delete'This Twilight Garden'! Holy s***!
ReplyDeletesetlist of the century!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG OMG OMG Last Dance and This Twilight Garden I soooooo wish I were there. Cherish this for those who aren't there Craig (& others). Hoooooly fuck. I hope the rest of the tour is like this.

ReplyDeleteIncredible two nights opening shows for the tour! New songs, super rare songs, amazing setlists! So GOOD! I hope that someone got a good recording of This Twilight Garden!!!
ReplyDeleteDid anyone get a full version of This Twilight Garden?
DeleteVERY VERY DIFFERENT SETLISTS!!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to heavily consider attending additional shows.
I was just thinking the same.
DeleteI'll already be attending five - Bestival Toronto, Montreal, and all three NYC shows. I think that's enough, at least for my weeping bank accounts. ;)
DeleteI'm debating going to Boise the day before the SLC show. Just need someone to join me.
DeleteI know, completely different for the same venue very nice!
DeleteUm ok this tour is off to an amazing start! This Twilight Garden was our first dance song! Please play it often throughout the tour, maybe it will turn up at the shoreline show.
ReplyDeleteSDWAY!
ReplyDeleteThis set is blowing my mind. Incredible night to be in NOLA.
ReplyDeletei agree with you...if they would play Faith in the encores the setlist is almost perfect!!!
DeleteI saw them perform 'All Cats Are Grey' and 'Faith' in Toronto in 2000. :)
DeleteOMG now Other Voices??? You're gonna get your Faith encore! OH MY GOD. I'm dying.
DeleteAnd the 2nd encore started with OTHER VOICES...
DeleteSO HAPPY FOR ALL MY CURE FAMILY! <3 <3
ReplyDeleteAaaaaand the setlist comes to a gigantic THUD lol. Oh well, after everything else they played they could do anything and it'd still be the greatest night ever.
ReplyDeleteI think that it's really odd to end a night with 'Wrong Number' and to have a 'Faith' encore without 'Faith', but overall this setlist looked outstanding.
DeleteNever mind! They're not ending with 'Wrong Number'!
DeleteYes! Good thing, would've been a shame to end on that sour note... and yeah. Faith encore w/out "Faith" is indeed odd. But wow what a night!
DeleteThey owned it! It's 11:30
ReplyDeleteEpic !
ReplyDeleteTried to live vicariously as much as I could. This was a landmark evening. I can only hope the show(s???) I go to is anywhere near this good. Hugs to everyone who was there, you are lucky bastards!! :P
ReplyDeleteSuch a great show tonight. Floor felt a little more crowded than last night, but everyone was harmonious for the most part. Did anyone else catch the lady with the puppet?!
ReplyDeleteAlso, it was kind of hilarious to see Simon getting annoyed by the overpowering fog machines during Plainsong. Little bit of a Spinal Tap moment there, but glad to see him and Roger laughing a bit about it.
ReplyDeleteLoved when Simon looked genuinely annoyed by whatever happened at the start of plainsong!
DeleteOh man. What a day. That was hands down my favourite Cure show, that setlist was as close to my ideal setlist as I could ask for without it being 'too sad' I think! So many little mistakes and jokes between the band that made everything so much better, too. Although there was a little part of me that almost died inside when I thought Disintegration was completely lost to whatever error was made but it was completely salvaged :)
ReplyDeleteSo great to meet everyone I got to meet! And I'm so sorry I'm terrible with names and can't remember right now but thanks to the two lovelt ladies who dropped me home!
Beyond Awesome Setlists...
ReplyDeleteIt Can Never Be The Same
Awesome Song, So Looking Forward To A Studio Version/Album...
And For The MSG Shows...
But Still No Bloodflowers...
This twilight garden no way I can't believe it. I hope they play that and the big hand in Chicago. Fear of ghosts would be nice too

ReplyDeleteA few years ago I would have laughed and said "Fear of Ghosts? No chance!" but looks like the gloves are off. Anything is possible at this point.

ReplyDeleteCraig, is there any way to have your reselling page up where people can just click on it or find it easier? I have some friends that want to look for second nights for other shows without having to pay $500 a seat from a scalper.
ReplyDeleteI'll post the video of this twilight garden later tonight.

Hey, I know this is really late, but I've been looking for months - does anyone know what bands were played over the speakers before the show? Thanks!
