Brian Cox: "One of my great moments... Johnny Marr playing acoustic 'There's a light...' Not as great as playing 'Lovecats'." (Thanks Warren)
As I've said on Twitter, this has to be the coolest, geekiest, and most interesting event that The Cure have ever been a part of. Wish I was there!
"The Cure will be performing a small clutch of 'Happy Hits'. How many in a clutch? We think around 3 or so... never quite sure until we count though... and in the act of counting..."
If you're going, and wouldn't mind sending the setlist, photos, videos, thoughts on the show, etc, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks, and have a great time at the shows!
"Let's get happy!"

*tumbleweeds*
ReplyDeletei was there. can't wait for Sunday
ReplyDeleteJudith Smith, a friend on a facebook group is there: "Mixed bag of stuff so far, depends how much you like science !!! No Cure yet, rumour is 9pm' 12 minutes away"
ReplyDeleteIf it's the same as last night, they won't be on until the end. 10:45 or so.
DeleteJudith Smith: "ROBERT SMITH without the band doing Lovecats accompanied by Prof Cox on piano and stage band"
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yeah, same as last night.
DeleteEven pop music! Reeves still in the band!
ReplyDeleteWell, yeah, ""The Cure will be performing a small clutch of 'Happy Hits'.", not going to play Siamese Twins and Cold, are they? :)
DeleteReeves isn't going anywhere. Better get used to it, eric.
I want to be sad but if The Cure continues like this is the end! :(
ReplyDeleteI think we'll get some good songs at the 3 real shows coming up.
DeleteI hope to have the new! I think Reeves plays his career!
