  2. Someone should mention that Robert looks as though he's lost some weight in the last year and a half.

    1. Nope. Stage is very small. Guess they didn't fit.

  4. Yes, was weird without the back screens at first, but then I just felt it was more intimate. Any thoughts?

  5. I was hoping these 3 wks would facilitate the chance to bring out some new vault gems but Alas no to avail.

    1. It's still early...they just started this second leg. There are plenty of opportunities to blow out the gems in NZ and OZ. Maybe even today....lol.
If not, they might slowly/gradually roll them out on the European leg. Maybe they're saving the best (or better) for last...

    2. I'm betting the 'gems' (for lack of a better word) will be brought out in Europe and the HI/Aus/NZ shows will draw from the same list as the N.A. tour. Probably get a couple debuts at Isle Of Wight.

    3. I'm thinking the same thing, but certainly don't want to jinx it for the NZ or OZ fans who have patiently waited for so long to see them. With the arrival of autumn during the Europe leg, it's possible the sets might get darker. A couple of the London shows within the last few years have gotten incredible setlists.

    4. It just dawned on me that it's the middle of winter in NZ/OZ....cold(er) weather = darker/colder setlists?

  7. I have seen 10 shows so far on this tour, there were no screens in Vancouver or Vegas either. Limitations of the stage dimensions, power supply, cost/logistics ...... who knows?

Perhaps it was just to expensive to send them to HI for 2 shows.

I think the screens were fantastic, but it was nice to experience a couple of shows without them. A bit more intimate feeling

    1. The stage set-up did have a real 'clean' look without the screens, etc. It was pretty cool looking from the photos anyway. How long has the backline been on those carts? Seems like it was a new thing on the N.A. tour but not sure. Must make for an easier load-in / load-out.

    2. I think those screens were kinda innovative obviously others have done this for over 25 yrs but the quality and technology was superb

  8. I'm still really enjoying the way Reeves worked on cleaning up his sound during the year and a half lay-off, he's sounding like he really belongs there and I'm really looking forward to his future with The Cure!

    1. Reeves was phenomenal this entire leg of the tour. Love watching his "sax replacement" on both 'A Night Like This' and 'Give Me It'

  9. Did Reeves get a haircut? No more Einstein style hairdo?
