Cure get 3 hours at Splendour in the Grass

Set times have been announced, and The Cure will play from 9 - 12 on July 23rd.

    I doubt that they'll use their entire allotted time. They haven't yet done it this year, so why start now?

      Shawn they have played over 3 hrs this was the case especially at a couple of the earlier gigs in the US towards in May...whatcha talkin' bout!!!

      For one the el paso show...Craig did not get accurate information they played 3 hrs and somewhere around 20 minutes.. I was there and they didn't piss away 20 minutes or so hearing the screaming crowd

      Also Austin was like 3 hrs 10 mins??? Or pretty close to that..the shows got slightly shorter as they made their way East.....or do it seemed

    Well, three hours less the half hour or so they wait for people to keep applauding before coming back out on stage for multiple "encores." What seemed kind of cool when reading about it was pretty annoying in person.

      thats pretty much exactly whats supposed to happen during encores. so....yeah WTF. go see bands that don't have the catalogue to support encores. the resentment some cure fans exhibit is seriously confusing.

      I'm not resentful. I enjoyed the shows that I attended, even the Bestival Toronto performance that the band cut short.

      Exactly how dare they not ask Shawn for permission? I kinda understand though Cuz these shows were generally shorter than the 2008/2013
