  3. Anybody know if the traffic will be insane. We are arriving by car to the venue so how much earlier should we be getting there?

    1. If you want to see Twilight Sad, plan to arrive by 6:00 PM and take into account rush hour on the 101 and surrounding freeways. The Shoreline Blvd offramps are INSANE before events. If you didn't pay for reserved parking, you may want to plan extra time to park strategically. It can take up to an hour to get out of the lot after the show if you've chosen poorly.

  5. Is there a curfew at Shoreline (hard or otherwise)?

    1. There are weeknight and weekend noise abatements, but I don't know how the city manages exceptions. There's probably an application process and a fee to be paid ahead of time. The band has skipped extended encores at the Shoreline before, so be prepared. Surprised the show isn't starting earlier.

    2. Thanks for the info! This is the only show we're getting to this tour and I'm trying to manage expectations!

    1. Too bad they didn't actually play The Figurehead at the show. Good to know they've rehearsed it though! Here's hoping they'll play it later this year when I finally get to see them.

Many thanks to the ones sharing on periscope!

  12. Would be a near perfect setlist if it wasnt for alt.end right off of Tape/Open.. Would take me a half hour to recover from that and wouldnt be able to properly appreciate what came after

  13. Also never understood all the love for Screw. Always seemed like 'filler' on HOTD. Theyre going to play Harold and Joe on this tour. You heard it here first.

    1. Hum... Should I bet on that?
Not a fan of screw either. But it was fun hearing it live. Once!

    2. I think Robert does songs like Screw and Wrong Number and Freakshow so he can be 'goofy' and pretend hes having fun. It just seems so contrived and not authetntic.

  14. Its strange to me the song selection post WMS.. There are gems like Truth Goodness & Beauty, Going Nowhere, There Is No If. Before Three, but they go with The End Of The World, alt.end, and I Dont Know Whats Going On.. Spilt Milk would even be a blast ... Just my 2 cents, either way, thank you Robert & co., 2Late live makes it all worth it.

  21. Nice to see 'Cold' and 'Kyoto Song' show up. SF has a high 'goth' population, so I was betting something darker might turn up tonight... it doesn't get much darker or more morose than 'Cold' lol...

So, 1/2 of 'Pornography' has been played on this tour so far, I wonder if we'll see the other four songs?

'Short Term Effect' has not been played in the U.S. in 34 years!!! 'Siamese Twins' not since 2004, and 'Pornography' not since 2000... 'Figurehead' saw action in 2008...

Perhaps the sets will get a little darker as well as they head north to the cloudy states versus sunny Cali... ha ha ha...

    1. Honestly it doesn't get more Gothic in the US than California...especially LA/ Hollywood...there are lots of clubs and the majority of established Goth bands in America hail from Los Angeles

    1. Question??? Why the hell.didn't they do 1 more 4 min song to complete the 180 minutes!? There are so many they could have squeezed in ....Killing An Arab for instance.....baffling

  23. Absolutely mind blowing version of Cold. This version possibly trumps all others I've seen. Time seems to stand still when watching some of these videos. Glad to see a couple of "new" songs trickling into the setlists again. A bit strange that there was only 1 show in SF, considering the massive fan base. Maybe the schedule was too tight? In any case, the SF fans deserved a great show given that the band was only able to schedule a single night there.

    1. All in all it was a great show... But the setlist was not that great we had a lot of hits not a lot of b-sides Bay Area fans deserve more than this. Shoreline is the worst venue to see a concert and why do they always play Shoreline!? When there's so many other venues that could be utilized. La gets three nights at the bowl with 3 different setlist! And we got one night at Shoreline!? What's with the no love for the Bay Area fans

    3. Unknown..and I'm just kidding but you got an NBA CHAMPIONSHIP!!! Be happy for LA. Lol!!!

    4. If I'm not mistaken LA didn't start off with 3 shows. They added a show or two based on ticket sales and "overwhelming demand".

    6. I kind of have to agree with Unknown, the Bay area fans didn't seem to get a lot of love this time around. At least the band did debut 2 songs. As for b-sides, LA didn't get many either, though 2Late was truly a dream come true. The improvised lyrics were hard to make out. Original lyrics are brilliant..wonder why RS never seems to remember them. Never been to Shoreline, but realized after going to HB that not all outdoor venues are created equal. HB is definitely a one-of-a-kind outdoor venue, was there in 2008 but did not appreciate its magic until now (i.e., the acoustics, surrounding hills/trees, Hollywood sign in the distance). The Bay area is an important market, hopefully it gets more love next time?

    7. Thank you! I didn't think my comment was that disrespectful or warranted that I was a vampire for God's sake I am a cure fan and I've been to 7 show so far and I'm following them around the u.s. a little criticism is just criticism let's not get our panties in a ruffle

    9. No, it was not disrespectful at all. In fact, it was quite mild (and quite true). It helps to have thick skin on this forum as I learned the hard way earlier this week. Cure fans are quite intense, I thought I made a rather neutral comment on security/cameras but apparently it caused some commotion. A lot of panties got caught in bunch. ;)

    10. Right ! Thank You. I've been verbally attacked of by some of these crazed fans for no reason than just making a little criticism...! People in this forum need to chill out....😒

  26. Was at the show last night. Saw them in Vegas last week and will see them in NYC and Boston next month. Glad Vegas wasn't a fluke. This tour is awesome! The entire band is on fire this go around. Couldn't ask for more, but I'm spoiled with 4 shows. The crowd was pretty good in SF, but nothing like last week. Wicked cool to get Kyoto and End is way better now than how they played it in '04. ICNBTS followed by Cold... had to hold back the tears. And something to stir the pot... glad Reeves is in. Tour is better than '08. Sorry is that's sacrilegious, but just my take.

  27. I agree. I never would have thought when I saw my first Cure concert 30 years ago that I would be talking about their epic 2016 tour. Incredibly awesome!
