  2. Welcome back to Montreal! Looking forward to the show tonight. Last time we saw them was all the way in Hawaii so will be nice to see them in Montreal. Hoping for a quirky set of rarities and some of the old school 80's Cure classics. Should be fun either way!

    1. Sure did! Fantastic show and hearing "Pornography" was absolutely amazing. Big big fan of that album so loved hearing the song live after it being in hiatus for almost 15 years.

Montreal crowd was immense, intense and having a great time! Even better than the last time they placed the Bell Centre.

  3. So the last two times The Cure played in Montreal (2008 and 2013), they opened and closed with Plainsong and Disintegration, respectively, in the main set. Per the rotation of setlists per setlist.fm, it would seem that it's time for the band to play these exact same songs again. Wonder whether they'll change it up deliberately based on these prior shows.

  16. First the incredible version of The Top a few days ago and now Pornography. I am speechless. RS and company appear to be on a roll... let's hope they keep this momentum going over the next two weeks. Can't wait to see what other goodies will pop up next. Not a big fan of Periscope so I will patiently wait for the full videos for various songs to show up on YouTube or Vimeo. I read in the Twitter feed that RS remarked at one point before LDOS "We'll go down more before we go back up" - Interesting... wonder what he meant by that. It's possible he was talking about the general mood of the setlist (or maybe even the gyrations of the stock market? haha..j/k), but then again he could be referencing any number of things. Saw the photos (not video - yet)of Pornography..at the very tail end, was the background image a subtle nod to the recent tragedy in Orlando? Maybe I am just seeing things? It is way too early in the morning, lol. 😴😪

    1. Now that I've finally had a chance to see the video for Pornography, it looks like distorted TV images in the background, but without the creepy backwards voices you hear on the original recording. The final image with the rainbow bars are probably those multicolored TV test patterns typically seen on old-school TV sets? Nothing to do with LBGT community... LOL.

  18. Holy cow! This is a pretty great setlist, especially since I never saw the Bloodflowers tour. And they played "Want" and "2 Late" and "Dressing Up" and "Pornography" and that new song. I wish I'd gone to Montreal, but I didn't want to stay at a hotel.

I really hope the band puts out more quality DVDs (not like "2005 Festival") soon. That's the only way I can really enjoy the live versions of the songs properly.

  21. Except for the last 2 encores, this was a pretty dark setlist. Far closer to a European show than most North American shows, it was wonderful to be there. Definitely was my favorite set list out of the three shows I was able to attend.
