Yeah I remember Robert mentioning in an old interview from that era that he had played the solo and it was strange that everyone always assumed porl had.
Covered a few times on COF, but Porl plays zero guitars on it.
Also pretty sure he only plays accoustic on A Letter To Elise, only plays the muted-guitar strike on Open (see Show for this), and only 'plays' the feedback on Cut (the wah-wah being Robert and the ex-Away keyboard part being Perry).
Yes, I remember this too, but I thought it strange as RS played the solo on 'The Kiss'. Yet, I remember playing 100 Years from 1984, and a player recognized it as The Cure, yet asked who played the solo. I told him RS. He was amazed!
