Cure photos in Punk+

"Thought I’d let you know about this – we’re stocking a few titles from an independent publisher friend of ours called First Third Books. One of which is called ‘Punk+’ – a punk inspired photography book by the renowned photographer Sheila Rock.

Included in the book are many portraits of bands from the late 70’s punk movement, including some of Siouxsie & The Banshees and of course, The Cure. I’ve attached a couple of snaps I’ve taken from the book.

Note that the book features many bands and is an insight to the of punk movement – the bands, the fashion, the impact on society etc.. so please don’t think this is solely about The Cure! The photography is truly brilliant throughout it and I’d never come across this book or it’s images before.

The book is available as a standard and special edition all signed and numbered, all from an original pressing of 2000. The special edition of 300 also includes a 10×7.5" hand printed archival silver gelatin print of The Clash in 1976 signed and numbered by Sheila Rock.

Also, here’s a link to other books in the First Third Range."

Thanks, Matthew.

Also, Amoeba has restocked Tom Sheehan's 'In Between Days' book. Of course you can also still get a copy at The Flood Gallery.

London review/photo in Rock & Folk

"There's a full-page picture & short review of The Cure's 3 London shows in the Feb. 2017 issue of French magazine Rock & Folk." Thanks, Sylvain.

Jason Interiew in Batterie

"There is a 5 page interview with Jason in issue 141 of the French "batterie magazine" ("drum kit magazine"), along with the main drumming parts of all the songs played at the Paris show on 15th november. Well guessed, the interview is in French! Mostly technical stuff, but also Jason says "it can never be the same" comes from the unreleased songs of 4:13 dream. The interview was done in Paris on Nov 15th. Some pictures attached. "

You can buy a copy of the issue here.  Thanks, Sylvain.
