Robert supports saving BBC 6

As posted on the Joy of 6 website, and mentioned at BBC News (Thanks Danny):

"RADIO 6 IS AN IMPORTANT, VIBRANT AND INNOVATIVE RADIO STATION LISTENED TO AND LOVED BY HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PASSIONATE MUSIC FANS. IT IS ONE OF THE FEW WAYS - IF NOT THE ONLY WAY - FOR MUSICIANS NEW AND OLD UNWILLING OR UNABLE TO CONFORM TO ANY DULL NOTIONAL MAINSTREAM TO BE HEARD BY A NATIONAL AUDIENCE. IT CAN AND DOES PLAY SONGS FROM MANY DIFFERENT GENRES AND DECADES, CHALLENGING AND ENTERTAINING THE LISTENER IN EQUAL MEASURE.

I HAVE ALWAYS BELIEVED THE BBC SHOULD OFFER REAL CHOICE IN HONORING ITS SEMINAL MISSION STATEMENT - TO EDUCATE, INFORM AND ENTERTAIN - UNDERSTANDING THAT THIS MAY AT TIMES REQUIRE IT TO ACT MORE AS A PUBLIC SERVICE BROADCASTER THAN A COMMERCIAL ENTERPRISE. IF THE CORPORATION GETS RID OF RADIO 6 IT WILL BE GUILTY OF REDUCING REAL CHOICE, AND OF ACTIVELY ENCOURAGING THE LITERALLY STUPEFYING GROWTH OF A DISMAL HOMOGENEOUS X-DRIVEL CULTURE.

Disintegration set photo

Not sure how long this has been up at Amazon (it's new to me), but here's a look at the set.

Disintegration set promo sampler

Someone has posted the Disintegration promo sampler. Since this is not a commercial release, and is just a small sample of the full set, I'm going to post it here and hope for the best. : ) If anyone (Cure, Universal, Rhino) has a problem with it, please just email me and it will be removed immediately. (Thanks C.o.m.p.e.i.l.e.r)

Come To Me lyrics

This might not be necessary, given the relative simplicity of the lyrics, but just in case you need them, V and I put this together.

Close your eyes, close your eyes (x4)

Please change your mind, please change your mind (x4)

All you have to do is change your mind
All you have to do is close your eyes
All you have to do is change your mind
And come to me

You're the one I'm dreaming, you're the one I'm dreaming (x11)

All you have to do is close your eyes
And come to me
Yeah all you have to do is change your mind
And come to me
(x4)

You're the one I'm dreaming, you're the one I'm dreaming
You're the one I'm dreaming of tonight
You're the one I'm dreaming, you're the one I'm dreaming (x3)
You're the one I'm dreaming of tonight
You're the one I'm dreaming, you're the one I'm dreaming
You're the one I'm dreaming of.....

Come To Me preview

65dos on - Twitter / MySpace / Facebook.

Update 3:
The album is out today. Get it, or just 'Come To Me', at Amazon (US) / Amazon (UK) or iTunes. The album, and song, are pretty brilliant.

Update 2:
Robert has posted about this on the official site.

Update:
The full album is streaming on MySpace. Really enjoying 'Come To Me'.

As most of you know, 65daysofstatic have a new album, 'We Were Exploding Anyway', due out on April 26th, and Robert has contributed vocals to the track 'Come To Me'. Here's a sample of the album, and here's a review of the track: "Listening to an advance promo cd of the new album, and particularly the RS vocals on "Come to Me". It's a classic 65DOS 8 minutes fast track, with great vocals that should please Cure fans (well i like it anyway)...Robert's vocals are a bit deep in the mix and not that obvious at first listen.....i have listened to it 5 or 7 times and it is a really good track in my opinion."
