Loopy as we were from a long week of revelry, beginning with Halloween and ending with the band’s Voodoo-capping set, his snaky guitar lines and unearthly voice seemed to swirl us all up into a blissed-out, spooky delirium. It’s wonderful to be reminded of such a great and deep catalog — even more so to have it done live, and by an artist who seems quite as passionate as his fans."
