From TV Week:
Fuse, a music television network from Cablevision's Madison Square Garden division, will reprise its live concert series, “Fuse Rocks the Garden.” The series, commercial-free and shot in high definition, will feature a performance by the Cure, part of the band’s tour in support of their upcoming album release. “Fuse Rocks the Garden: The Cure” is set to premiere Friday, June 20, at 11 p.m. ET on Fuse.
So I guess this is a delayed "live" broadcast? Can I get a dvd copy from anyone? Please?

Woo hoo! Someone is gonna get some good footage of this tour - please don't forget your Oz friends - we would love to see this!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to record it on my DVR...but I don't know how I could get it from there to my computer so that I could burn it to a dvd
ReplyDeleteme want DVD too. (unless "catch" is part of the set - then i will need that edited out).
ReplyDeleteis it bad form to say that? sometimes it's tough to read the sensitivity of the room. if "catch" is one of your faves, i apologize if i have offended. More Hanging Garden and less Catch is all I'm saying.
I'll take whatever you've got. I'll even take Wrong Number. : )
ReplyDeleteDamn, this new poll was pointless. UTS is killing everything else. And rightfully so! : )
ReplyDeleteCraig - maybe you need to change the poll, "what is your second favourite song?"
ReplyDeleteI'm with Elise! As soon as I see the poll options, I didn't even think before choosing UTS. IMO that song is as good as the best ones on Disintegration. :)
ReplyDeletei want dvd badly too!
ReplyDeletedamn it, why dont i have cable anymore??! oh wait, i think ill just watch it at my friends house, and record it on a vhs there the old fashioned way.
andrew - im sure aaron (curedtc2) on youtube will find a way to put it up, hes good with vids ^_^
UTS is BETTER than anything on Disintegration. :-)
ReplyDeleteI think the poll should read, "Which do you like better, Simon's PHTs or Bob's SBS?"
But seriously, is someone gonna record this for us or WHAT?
I'm not a massive fan of "Kiss Me", mr. salty, but I've always absolutely adored "Catch". I'm not offended, though. :) I'm sure I risk offending people on a regular basis with my list of the songs I dislike.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't quite finished reading your post...and, lo and behold, I've never cared for "The Hanging Garden". I really dislike it. :)
Cat - there would need to be another option on that poll - BSC!!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the poll! More polls please!
ReplyDeleteum, craig....???
ReplyDeleteSBS & BSC?
ReplyDeleteHow long is the show? An hour? The full thing?
ReplyDeleteSBS - Smelly Black Shirt
ReplyDeleteBSC - Bobby Sans Clothes
Oh god, I'm ridiculous.
I love it when we talk in TLA's
ReplyDeleteTLA's = Three Letter Acronyms!!!!
Cat - LOL! Thanks for the explanation. You're not rediculous, you're creative!
ReplyDeleteHmm, now that's a tough call, can't say which one I'll vote for...
C'mon, Jen - it has to be BSC!!!!
ReplyDeleteSooner or later, there has to be a dictionary of COF TLA's.
ReplyDeleteGirls, you need to get back into the FS thread... Craig has a special message for us and everyone.
ReplyDeleteLOL, Elise! But I do love his SBS! This really calls for a vote.
ReplyDeleteI do?
ReplyDeleteer, never mind. *blushes*
ReplyDeleteyes, i am sure craig is going to do a poll on the front page.
ReplyDeleteWhich is Your Favorite:
Simon's PHTs (Penis Hugging Tights)
Robert's SBS (Smelly Black Shirt)
RSC (Robert Sans Clothes)
Por's UFDGU (Porl's Uncle Fester Drag Get Up)
Jason's PSL (Perpetually Stoned Look)
LOL! I'm sorry but that's too funny!
ReplyDeleteif you think about it, jason DOES look stoned all the time.
ReplyDeleteI'm still gonna go with BSC!!!! I had my meeting this morning to discuss the "BSC Transition" project and giggled like a little girl everytime I said BSC.
ReplyDeleteTold the guy I was meeting the reason I was giggling - I think he is planning on having me committed. BTW, he is a Simon too.
jason's - perpetual stoned look - ROFLMAAOOO. that one nearly killed me!
ReplyDeletenot that you do mention it..
sweet, if I end up going, I will run right in front of the cameras and do a big shout out to COF! lol
ReplyDeleteelise, that is HILARIOUS!
ReplyDeletethe cure has infiltrated your work life in a very surreal way.
if i were at work these days i wouldn't know what to do with myself. "shut up kids, i'm trying to watch simon work his PHTs"
i meant now* instead of not
ReplyDeleteis it just me - or drummers have the weirdest faces when they drum?
Pre-eyeliner days, I always thought Jason looked like a complete surfer dude (permanently stoned)
ReplyDeletecat - its like midnight over here, and im studying for finals. my mom just asked me why i burst out laughing.. that simon comment is just too funny, i can just imagine you saying that
ReplyDeleteelise, he DOES look like a surfer. i have often said that. he screams california surfer.
ReplyDeletedj, if only i had you for a student - you would understand! :-)
actually, there was a guy at the last school where i taught that wore a pornography t-shirt a lot and we used to chat about the cure. he would come by my room and we would talk about it during my planning. come to think of it, why wasn't he in class then? i never thought to ask. *calls school to implement retroactive punishment for skipping class*
my attempt to translate the never before translated first verse of Catch:
ReplyDelete"doo doo doo doo doooooo doo dooo dooo dah dooo dooo dooo doo dooo doo dah ahhhayaah"
ack - a complete translation failure.
i think the cure prefers blonde drummers lol
ReplyDeletecat - you teach language arts/english right? id love to be in your class, i learned nothing in mine this year. its hard sneaking a cd player in class, stupid ipod spoiled kids! but i needed the music for inspiration, it was so DULL. and tommorow we're doing workbooks *shudder*. for nearly two hours. good thing i brought pornography and disintegration. off to bed now, i had a really weird dream last night and all i could remember was that it involved a fieldtrip and COF. all this late night chatting is affecting my sleep!
And boy does he know how to work those PHT's
ReplyDeleteDJ - The COF field trip is gonna happen next year!!!
ReplyDeleteAny word, Craig, on the length of this thing? I want to say I've seen a Foo Fighters one that was an hour long, with commercials.
ReplyDeleteBut...?
Tyler - no idea, this is the first I've heard of it.
ReplyDeleteI'm so confused!
ReplyDeleteI'll do what I can to find out what is necessary to get things from my DVR to my computer so that I can make DVDs for all of you who want them
ReplyDeleteAndrew rocks! : )
ReplyDeleteAll hail Andrew!
ReplyDeleteAll hail Andrew!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd, Andrew, don't forget to do some visual effects manipulation with garish colors bleeding and lots of grain and distortions...because we all loved it when Robert ruined the 2005 Festival DVD with that stuff.
ReplyDeleteMuldfeld - LOL!
ReplyDeleteWhat, altr2elise? I'm being serious. You don't love that stuff?
ReplyDelete:)
Muldfeld - I love it when I am doing the housework and I catch glimpses of it, but I get a headache if I just sit and watch it :)
ReplyDeletejust to sound stupid, but this is from the msg gig? if so me wants a copy as well!
ReplyDeletei know no-one knows me from Adam - but could i get a DVD of this too?
ReplyDeletei have one or two cool things i could send back!
I will draw something cool for anyone who send me this DVD.
ReplyDeleteindeed please dont leave out the aussies!!
ReplyDeleteHi J, good to have a fellow Aussie on CoF. Where the bloody hell are you - in this great southern land?
ReplyDeleteI'm in Perth.
Or just stick the DVD up on a torrent site so that we cam all have at it!
ReplyDeleteAndrew: most DVR's (especially those provided by cable companies) use digital encryption which makes it impossible to transfer footage to your computer :( FYI
ReplyDeleteI have a DVD recorder, that I'll use to make a DVD, which I then will share on DIME if it's not already done by the time I get to it.
ReplyDeleteAlso, note that it looks to me that they're only broadcasting an hour of the show. Probably from the start of the show, since it'll still be happening when it airs.
ReplyDeleteWe have recorded many programs on our TiVo and transferred them to DVD, so this should be easy!
ReplyDeleteMy local cable company took Fuse off the lineup earlier this year. I'll have to see if the other local cable company still has Fuse.
ReplyDeleteI have at&t broadband cable and internet, and I'm pretty sure there's a way to put anything from my DVR onto my computer...i'll have to check for sure, but I will definitely do my best! and i will send them to whoever I possibly can, as long as the cost of buying blank dvds and shipping them afterwards isn't too costly...something in return is not necessary, but would be much appreciated!
ReplyDeleteI am glad someone finally explained PHT. I looked it up and thought it was:
ReplyDeleteUrban Dictionary:
The sound made when u cut someone deeeeeppp; relating to how to get dat papa, pht is used for people who need to get sliced n' diced with everything nice
If I had a DVD Burner, I'd do it. Some DVR's now have a feature which enables you to record a program to a DVD.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure in the great wide world of our COF, someoue out there will be able to burn copies?
LOL, NM...Andrew. I am so late to the game sometimes... :P
ReplyDeleteSet my DVR to record!
ReplyDeleteThanks to COF for the info.
i'm setting my dvr, too. ill see what i can do about a dvd, guys.
ReplyDeleteOh cool! Thanks for the info craig! I'll have to set-up my DVD player never done it so far so I hope it works. I should set-up my VHS machine too just to be safe. Can't wait to see it!
