I chose not to go to Austin due to what Cat is dealing with now, sitting in freaking TX heat at 1:00 in the afternoon, 8 hours before the show starts...... Well, I may miss out, but everyone there will be happy I did, as I would not be my usual jovial self after an order like they are experiencing...Hope they get some cool stuff!!

ReplyDeleteWyatt - I have baked in that Texas sun too many times, most notably for Houston 2000. Not fun at all.
ReplyDeleteThe best Texas show, weather wise, was the Dec. 1997 show at the Bronco Bowl. Cold and rainy all day.
And it was at a freaking bowling alley/arcade! What could be better than playing Donkey Kong while waiting to go see The Cure? : )
And to top it off, they played Torture, Cut and UNTITLED!

hey all, had a call from Mock Goth Gurl/Veronica from austin earlier. She is supposed to call me tonight if any unplayed song makes it onto the setlist tonight. She said that UTS in Dallas was truly glorious, youtube just doesn't do it justice. I'm PRAYING for it in ATL!!! She's gonna keep her eyes open for Cat.
ReplyDeletealbany ny. no-one ever comes here, but i can travel to lots of places from here in a few hours, which makes it pretty cool (i.e. boston, montreal, nyc, even philly isn't horrible). i don't like boston, but the only city i'm scared of is nyc. it's too fragile.
