  2. Again, I won't be in till later! :(
Have fun and here's hoping for a great setlist and lots of RED!
    Cheers!

    ReplyDelete
  3. Yes please, treats for all of us to enjoy vicariously!

    ReplyDelete
  4. Jerry - Don't tell Roger you're here. ; )

    ReplyDelete
  5. I wonder if they'll try to top last night, or just do a regular setlist ?

    ReplyDelete
  6. hello everyone. i broke into the "day job" office again because it's unbearable hot in my apartment, and far more importantly i wanted to be with you all again for a little while. not sure how long i can stay though.... Craig, are you there?

    ReplyDelete
  7. I hope I can join in more tonight than I did last night! Talk to you guys in a bit! :)

    ReplyDelete
  8. Eric - yes. Annie popped in last night and said she wanted the ticket. Wasn't sure if you wanted me to give her your info or not.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Ahh, more reports from Wyatt! I'm bummed I'll be missing it again. One of these days I will stay the whole time, I swear, I swear...

    ReplyDelete
  10. is your friend Olivier going to get hooked up? if the guy is flying all the way from France he HAS GOT to get hooked up. Somehow, my ticket doesn't seem worthy enough anyways though. what's his status?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Oh! And Eric-- yes, I would still like the ticket. But I feel a little weird about it now... well, whatever, just email me and we'll sort it out.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Annie - Eric is here. Do you want his ticket?

    ReplyDelete
  13. annie! don't go until we work this ticket thing out. it may very well be coming your way tonight!

    ReplyDelete
  14. eric-- yeah I was just going to ask that. Like I said last night, I would rather he get his stuff secured than take the ticket for myself.

    ReplyDelete
  15. also, my mother (of all people!) has convinced me that i NEED to got to the RCMH show. does anyone have any advice on how to deal with SATAN...errr ticket brokers? it looks like i can get one on StubHub for like $150... also, TicketMaster has this 'partnership program' deal it sends me to, but i would have to buy a pair (and thus have an extra ticket again). anyone with advice?

    ReplyDelete
  16. eric-- there are a ton of people looking for an extra RCMH ticket (just check the buy & sell thread on here), I'm sure if you bought two it wouldn't be hard to sell one.

    ReplyDelete
  17. my mom says that when she was a little girl (circa 1950) her father brought her to RCMH to see movies or whatnot, and that it is gorgeous. she said, "and I know how much The Cure means to you..." so that clinched it. Fuck being scared of NYC. I'm going!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Eric - Annie was first in line, so you guys work something out. If not, I'll check with Olivier.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Alright Eric! That's the spirit man!

    ReplyDelete
  20. i don't sell tickets though annie... i give them away! it's good for karma. but i can't do that at $150 or more a pop. that represents more than a full days work for me...

    ReplyDelete
  21. if you mean that Craig, just forward the email i sent to you on to annie. she can reply with a mailing address, or call me to find a place to hook up before the show, if that's what she wants.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Eric - I don't have her e-mail.

Annie? E-mail me if you want the info.

    ReplyDelete
  23. what a nice thing to do, eric !!!

have fun in NYC !!! it'll be cool

    ReplyDelete
  24. Craig, if i bought you a RCMH ticket would you go?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Eric - that's too nice, but no, can't make it.

    ReplyDelete
  26. okay, i give up trying to get you to go to a concert this tour. i will officially leave you alone now.

but let the record showed i tried!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Thank you Eric. The record has been updated. : )

    ReplyDelete
  28. Pssh, come on guys, be resourceful. My email is right in my blog profile thingie.

    Anyways I emailed Craig.

    ReplyDelete
  29. ...also I seriously seriously have to go now. But I will try to find a computer while I'm out and check in.

    ReplyDelete
  30. i'm old annie. i barely get The Internets tubes thingie as it is. give me a break!

    ReplyDelete
  31. CHRIS/CHRISTINA: HAVE FUN!!!!!! HOPE YOU GET DROWNING MAN!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. i will await your email annie. don't stress it though, the ticket is yours now!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Eric - Annie e-mailed me and wants me to ask Olivier first. It's your ticket, what do YOU want?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Craig, dude, you have GOT to go to RCMH!

    ReplyDelete
  35. i want Olivier to be hooked up at all costs as well, since you have indicated he is a COF VIP. but, is my ticket good enough for him? i think it's great for me, because i will have NONE of the problems Cat had last night, and i've already been up close-ish (in Montreal). can your friend afford tickets through a broker? if so, he can probably do better than my seats anyways. bottom line, i want to give them BOTH a ticket, but then i wouldn't have one for myself :(

    ReplyDelete
  36. can you contact him, tell him the situation, and basically let HIM decide who gets the ticket?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Ok, I'll do that later tonight and see what he says.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hey Craig I won't if you wont! Shhhhh.....

    ReplyDelete
  39. Notes from Wyatt:
"I'm in. Full arena setup, but top balcony blocked off."

"Boy, as a crowd, we have gotten older for sure."

"65 rememberd to plug in their guitars tonight. They should keep doing that as it is much more pleasant this way."

    ReplyDelete
  40. Jerry - mum's the word. : )

    ReplyDelete
  41. cat sounds like you had a blast.. awesome.. despite the assholes... lol.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Sorry, included this in the Austin review - but I think everyone has moved here now:

Cat - I love your way (yes, I know it is sad that I am quoting Peter Frampton at this time of morning). Your reviews and comments are fantastic.

And, the CoF Caravan would not leave without Cat on board.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I am so hoarse from screaming last nite and I have SUCH a headache and I am SO tired that I don't think I could possibly withstand Houston - and YET I am terribly jealous of all who are there. Chris has 2nd row - and at least they are SEATS and not the fucking pit.

If they play Holy Hour or ANY BF stuff I will choke Robert when I see him. Unless they play it for my shows of course. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  44. and by the way, what's this Robert saying "no Elise tonight"?????? he can have me any night :)

    ReplyDelete
  45. hey jewella and elise! i had a fantastic time, yes, despite the MOTHERFUCKERS pushing. I love how that girl who pushed her way to the front with her skank-ass boyfriend said, "I have waited 15 years for this experience. Why are YOU here?" as if to imply that I am less of a fan because I don't enjoy being PUSHED AND SHOVED BY DRUNK IDIOT LOSERS.

    ReplyDelete
  46. cat-when you see my friend DSC on Friday, tell him I told you he was a real "freakshow" , he'll love that :P.

    ReplyDelete
  47. hey everyone! i cant believe tonight's Houston *bursts into sobs* i wont even be able to keep with the live reports because i have to study for my finals tonight! *sobs harder* this show means so much to me and i wont even be able to hang around here. i hope my second hometown gets a beatiful beautiful setlist tonight, bring on the heat!im off to study spanish conjugations and (nuclear physics-its very basic).. while my brains melts, id rather be melting in the toyota center heat!
you have no idea how much i would love to be in that crowd tonight.. texas in the summer. i hope SOMEONE IS TAPING tonight! so i have something to celebrate with when hell.. i mean the education facility with florescent lighting.. is over.

    ReplyDelete
  48. cat- I am so impressed at your restraint and that you didn't just DECK that MF right there and then !! lol

    ReplyDelete
  49. Cat, the show last night sounded like it was near-perfect.

Did you get to throw your bra at Si?

    :P

    ReplyDelete
  50. Elise - So Dave's ok with this? : )

    ReplyDelete
  51. lol elise- but of course robert wants. he was quite adorable last nite, btw; it was rather hard for me to keep focused on the PHTs! get it - "hard" for me to stay focused.

OH! Speaking of Robert wanting you - a tall Mary-looking type had a shirt on that said, "Robert loves me." LOL!!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. yes, i wanted to deck the mofo, but that pyscho couple kinda scared me. they were GROPING each other during Forest. EW.

anah: actually, chris and i were joking about throwing my bra on stage - robert could hook it onto his mic, axl rose style!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Craig - mmmmmm... maybe not, but surely every relationship has to have a leave pass ;)

Cat - LOL at the Mary comment

    ReplyDelete
  54. anah: the show was near perfect, but i have small confession to make: I was disappointed they opened with Open.

    *runs out of thread*

    ReplyDelete
  55. where did the thought of a full Faith encore come from?

    ReplyDelete
  56. Or wear it on his head, like in Weird Science...

    ReplyDelete
  57. Cat - we had a lot of fun last night trying to imagine how well you were behaving at the show. If only we could have gotten rid of the idiots for you.

    ReplyDelete
  58. My bf and i just ate dinner and we are on the couch watching FRiends (ICK - but that is all that is on, as we don't have cable), and he is rolling his eyes at me as i am typing away. he says sardonically "you're all immersed in the cure again." i told him to expect this again in 2012.

    ReplyDelete
  59. cat - I was disappointed for you when the opened with open! I played UTS in protest instead

    ReplyDelete
  60. lol. cat, you really are priceless.

    ReplyDelete
  61. coolest - what do you mean? The full Faith encore has been listed on the sheets since Europe at least, maybe before.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Cat - I try to do the right thing every now and then and make sure the hubby is OK with the amount of time I am spending with my new friends - but to be honest, I don't think I could stop even if he said 'no'.

    ReplyDelete
  63. i bet they get faith tonite. the cure is huge in tejas and houston is the last texas show.

chris and i were actually rather well behaved, all things considered. we were jumping around in place and shouting all the words to the songs, but we refrained from jumping simon gallup's choo choo. but we did drool over him some (he is hot as FUCK, after all) and she got at least one good PHT pic. you can't really see the wee wee in it, but it's a crotch shot nonetheless.

    ReplyDelete
  64. ..."simon gallup's choo choo..."

    Very funny visual there!

    ReplyDelete
  65. elise, yeah, there is no restraining us and our cure obsession, methinks. although really i should be bonding with my man right now since i haven't seen him in over a week.

    *looks longingly at bf*

    *looks longingly at COF*

    *drools over COF*

    ReplyDelete
  66. cat - are you talking about christina?

faith in houston.. there are tapers in the audience, yes?? there are tapers at every show for years, but im just getting paranoid. i fucking miss texas now

    ReplyDelete
  67. As for the full Faith encore:

The setlist for Salt Lake had it listed as the final encore. But the show was cut short due to Robert's voice problems.

They did a quick Why Can't I be You instead.

    ReplyDelete
  68. yes, christina, dj. do you know her??

sorry you are missing the show, dj. :-(

    ReplyDelete
  69. Cat - LOL. Feel the same way!

BTW - so good to have seen yours and Jennifers photos - now I can put faces to names!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  70. 65 is finished, Cure up in about 30 minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  71. "As for the full Faith encore:

The setlist for Salt Lake had it listed as the final encore. But the show was cut short due to Robert's voice problems.

They did a quick Why Can't I be You instead."

I got setlists from SLC, Sasquatch and the Shrine...all encore possibilities appear on the setlists every night.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Oh.. well, that's no fun. I suppose I probably feel better about not getting the Faith encore in SLC now.

Thanks for the heads up on that!

    ReplyDelete
  73. In fact the encore sheets only change if they don't open with Plainsong, in which case a Disintegration Encore is added to page 2 of the setlist.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Hi everyone - I'm here for now! :)

I didn't miss any bra removals, did I?

    ReplyDelete
  75. yep, they list them all each night and then RS chooses which ones he wants for that night.

    ReplyDelete
  76. wyatt wears a bra?

i miss austin! i miss the cure!

    ReplyDelete
  77. yes, i know her from beach of stone, shes so awesome! you guys were next to each other in line? its so cool that you two befriended each other!! i heard it was a pretty intense time in the pit last night, i wouldve loved that. i wouldnt like to be pushed and shoved around while trying to enjoy the show though

i dont know which is worse.. missing both LA shows or this. to top it all off, im studying for finals! oh yeah.. i should look at my spanish book instead of the screen now. damn it!

    ReplyDelete
  78. Hi V - it's only 55 degrees here - I think I will be keeping mine on for a while longer!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Clockwise: He's got to have just the right amount of support onstage. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  80. Elise: Okay, good - glad I didn't miss any action! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  81. dj, christina is very very very very cool. i want her to post here. she is funny and fun and a lot like me personality-wise - i.e., a bit crazy and also bitchy if need be. :-)

yes, we met in line and then i stood next to her during the show. it was fucking awesome! we texted craig a few times about bras and orgasmic ice and had a great laugh about it all. we were feeling rather giddy after 8-9 hours in the heat.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I haven't been here to chat very much so this may have been listed another night already, but since Japan last summer they have played 74 of the 83 possibilities for this tour. All that remains are Charlotte Sometimes, Siamese Twins, Same Deep and any new songs they choose to play. Originally there were to be 13 but that included ABINK, but that is no longer being played and has been set aside with the other "dark" songs for....who knows when.

    ReplyDelete
  83. LOL V! really, though, it's porl who needs the bra support. :-X

    ReplyDelete
  84. V - not yet, but we will see if we can't get some steam happening today

    ReplyDelete
  85. Full Faith is for Tampa...

    hello all :)

    ReplyDelete
  86. OMG, 15 mins til showtime. i am getting chills and i'm not even there.

    FRIDAY HERE I COME!

I might need to be committed to an insane asylum after this tour, btw.

    ReplyDelete
  87. For Charlotte!

    (my next show, of course:)

    ReplyDelete
  88. Hey everybody, this is my first post, but I've been following this site for a while. These live updates are great! Just wish I was able to attend more of the shows myself.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Eric - that ticketmaster partnership program you mentioned
can you still get tickets for RCMH
    even though it's sold out?
if so how good are they?
if they're really good (ie first 5 rows)and you need to buy 2 to get the deal i'll gladly buy the second one from you
    let me know
    cheers, Steve

    ReplyDelete
  90. Elise: I'm sure we'll get things heated up before too long. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  91. hi namepa and morris.

okay peeps, i am barely limping along here after 8 hours in the heat, 5 more hours in a hot arena, and 3 hours shouting along to songs, and one hour of being pushed and shoved, and 4 hours of sleep.

SOoooooo, i may not make the full set tonite is what i'm sayin'. i hope to, though; besides, i don't have to get up early at all.

    ReplyDelete
  92. During that Apple conference this morning someone was streaming live video and audio! So it could be done from a Cure show too! :)

    ReplyDelete
  93. "Porl's flamenco guitar is being tuned so the Blood should be played tonight."

    ReplyDelete
  94. Craig: That rocks! Porl kicks ass on "The Blood"!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Steve - those seats are like $550 apiece. i don't know if i have that kind of cash (but i am somewhat tempted). what price range are you thinking? i'm thinking around $200 myself, which is good for okayish seats, but nothing fantastic.

    ReplyDelete
  96. What will the open with tonight?

    Plainsong?

    ...sometimes you make me feel
like i'm living at the edge of the world...

    ReplyDelete
  97. Morris - I wanted to do that from the Dream Tour. didn't work out.

    ReplyDelete
  98. morris, if they play the full faith encore, you'll hear me screaming from section 108. :D

    ReplyDelete
  99. cat - LOL! well stay as long as you can, the convos are more livelier when youre around

    morris - what apple conference?

craig - you mean hes not using the corsair for the blood anymore?

    ReplyDelete
  100. COF kittens, i know i'm hot already... but that's because they turned off the air conditioning in this building. it's really creepy here. i'm not really supposed to be here, and i keep hearing noises...

    ReplyDelete
  101. Fuck they'll play The Blood. :-( Houston got a great set last time too, and i missed that as well. i shoulda come home on tuesday and stayed for houston. :-(

    ReplyDelete
  102. v said...
    "Porl kicks ass"

    Here! Here!

    ReplyDelete
  103. DJ - not sure. just posting what wyatt sends in.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Anah - I'm gonna call *ponders for a little while longer, before typing* ..... UTS.. There is part of me that really wants to type OOTW, but I think that is just Wishful Thinking

    ReplyDelete
  105. Hi COF peeps! Ten minutes to show time?

    ReplyDelete
  106. Craig: the tech is better now - cause i was watching someone do it from the conference hall this morning. Maybe they had Wi-Fi access there.

But this is just as fun :) Does anyone else play live tracks as the set list is posted? :)

    ReplyDelete
  107. Cat - Houston Curiosa show was incredible.

    ReplyDelete
  108. dj, thanks for the compliment but truly, you all are the life of the partay! ya'll are awesome! COF Kittens and Tomcats rule!

    ReplyDelete
  109. i was *thisclose* to driving to texas for tonight's show, so let's see what the 'kicking myself' factor is gonna be.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Or UTS; I can't make up my mind

    ReplyDelete
  111. "Just met boopadoo. Cool as hell."

    ReplyDelete
  112. I'm addicted to freakshow..

    ReplyDelete
  113. jewella: I'm addicted to AKOS. :D

    ReplyDelete
  114. Craig, I went to the Dallas one the nite before but foolishly flew back and couldn't see Houston. Just like now... hm... why do I do this?

Actually, Houston was on a Monday as I recall (or maybe Sunday) and I had to get back to work. I had already missed one or two days due to Cure shows. I called them my Cure Sick Days.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Fantac says "Hi" - he should be popping in a bit later!

    ReplyDelete
  116. Morris - I play the tracks as they come in. : )

    ReplyDelete
  117. Don't worry Eric. Together we ain't 'fraid of no ghost.

I'm gonna be on and off for the first half of the show tonight guys just in case you start to miss me :)

    ReplyDelete
  118. Morris - live tracks all the way, baby!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  119. dj scribbles: It was the Worldwide Developer Conference, with Steve Jobs giving the keynote. They announced the iPhone G3 today.

    ReplyDelete
  120. I'm with V. : )

    And I'll go Plainsong tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  121. If anyone named Isiah is reading this, please post! You were the SWEETEST guy yesterday and I am sorry I abandoned you all. I gravitated toward the center and toward chris.

The coolest thing about Cure gigs is meeting peeps.
    :-)

    ReplyDelete
  122. UTS? they just played it in Dallas and AZ. They opened with Plainsong in SD... but that's still my pick.

    ReplyDelete
  123. andrew, we will indeed miss you.

    *waves to fantac*

    ReplyDelete
  124. do we know what the 3rd and th singles are ?? offically ??

    ReplyDelete
  125. morris - you dont happen to be in san francisco at the mo', are you?
because the apple convention is this week

    ReplyDelete
  126. The first time I saw/heard Freakshow I fell in love with it. It's so...classicly crazy Robert. But it's not like anything else really.

    ReplyDelete
  127. I think they will do PS tonite.

elise, i just saw your post about open - thanks for sending UTS vibes my way, though.

i THINK i may get UTS at one of my shows - I PRAY TO GOD I do.

wait, i don't believe in god. *scratches head in befuddlement*

ah well, fuck it! GOD, MAKE the Cure play UTS!

    ReplyDelete
  128. did you see this anah ??: check it out @ 1:05, hilarious

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRXR_Hwq4Dc

    ReplyDelete
  129. Anah - I knopw what you mean - whenever it comes on I ended up doing the crazy Robert dance. IT's hard to just stop dead when it is playing!

    ReplyDelete
  130. I want to attend a show with Craig. Craig, did you get my text??!?!?!

    ReplyDelete
  131. They haven't been "officially" announced yet, but Sleep When I'm Dead is listed at Universal for the July single.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Cat - just send out good vibes to the universe - god's got nothing to do with it!!!

    ReplyDelete
  133. dj: No, i'm in Tampa Bay, Florida

    ReplyDelete
  134. i love how these new songs are so openly different. i mean they actually take a while to sink in, which is a nice change. NY trip is permanently ingrained in my cerebral cortex. :)

    ReplyDelete
  135. Clockwise: Can I come too?

    ReplyDelete
  136. Eric that's too rich for me , i'm thinking a similar price to you, i think if you wait til closer to the concert the prices will drop.
I got front row in Montreal on the day of the show for $150 each from a scalper on craigslist and 2 days earlier he was asking $250 each.
    I'll wait and see.
    Thanks anyway, Steve

    ReplyDelete
  137. cool, I love sleep when I'm dead..

that and FS are my 2 fave new songs ( don't hit me...).

    ReplyDelete
  138. Is it next year yet???? I so want the CoF Caravan to happen!

    ReplyDelete
  139. hellz yeah, V! DUH!

We's ALL gone attend us some cure shows together!

    ReplyDelete
  140. Elise: Me too! COF Kittens 4-eva!

    ReplyDelete
  141. the singles are still scheduled for the 13th of each month, right?

    ReplyDelete
  142. Hi everyone! Much as I'd love to join you, I'll have to watch the updates "silently" today – lots of work to do! I'm hoping to get this shit done so I can fully enjoy the show on Thursday (Wednesday for most of you).

And here's hoping they open with UTS tonight.

Damn, I hate that I have to work when all I can think of is to get my own copy of single as soon as possible...

    ReplyDelete
  143. C'mon Cat, you know the answer. Don't make me keep saying no. Makes me feel bad.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Hi Jenny! Sorry that you can't join in tonight!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  145. Will the COF caravan come to Europe??

    ReplyDelete
  146. ohhh, shoot this was cut and paste from youtube
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRXR_Hwq4Dc

if not seach the cure frekshow on youtube and it's the first one listed (live 2008) from spain..

    ReplyDelete
  147. jewella: I know, I love it!
This is my favorite Cure video though:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bc2aSNCMaps

    ReplyDelete
  148. novem: i am with you there. these songs are intriguingly layered. they are not throwaway songs at all, unlike, say, taking off or wendy time. maybe i'll change my mind, but i do like ny trip a lot, and freakshow. i wish i could get into the only one more, though. but it's quite good live.

    ReplyDelete

  150. hi jenny. :-)

    craig, i hit a nerve. i'm sorry!!

i am thinking of you at the shows, though. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  151. DJ - sort of, but not really. Freak is out tomorrow in the US.

  157. clockwise: i'm right there with you on only one. i love the live version. robert just swims in the vocals and phrases everything so beautifully, whereas the single version sounds a bit 'crammed' if that even makes any sense.
