  9. Hi Everyone,

Long time lurker, first time poster....I'll be in NY that day on business and may stop by to say hello to everyone...Sadly, I do not have tickets to the show and my flight leaves Friday at 8pm, but it would be great to meet some of you in person :)

Saw the boys in Arizona and the show was nothing short of amazing!!

Would love to see them again...but no ticket and my flight leaves on Fri....but maybe I should stay over one more night to catch the MSG show...anyone have an extra (good location, reasonable price) ticket?

    ReplyDelete
  10. hey sugar! welcome! its fucking crazy here!

and cat - did you want to do the preshow or postshow thing?

i want to get into the venue asap to make sure my tickets are still valid. damn scalper paranoia!!

    ReplyDelete
  11. and i am assuming these places are within walking distance to msg?

    ReplyDelete
  12. chris, we could possibly do both - let's just see, doncha think? obviously the show is the most important! i do want to meet sofia, et al.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Thx Christi...it's nice to be among like minded folks...since I am driving my husband crazy with my silly little obsession

    ::giggles wildly out of control::

And many, many thanks for Craig for for providing a haven for all of us....mighty gracious of you Craig :)

  15. Sugar Girl, I have a ticket on Ebay for sale at face value if you change your flight.

I'm flying in from Phoenix Thursday to see REM, and the 2 Cure shows and have an extra ticket for MSG.

    Floor section 7, row D.

Anyway it's on ebay I don't think I can post the link here but I'm sure you can find it.

    ReplyDelete
  16. sugar*girl - I have a ticket!

    ReplyDelete
  17. sugar*girl - I have section 7 N, just a little big behind millertime's ticket, but I will see it for a lot less! email me
    menkuare@yahoo.com

  18. god, I can't type..."Sell" not "see"

    ReplyDelete
  19. Oh, should we all wear nametags like a high school reunion?! lol

    ReplyDelete
  20. yes!!! the ones that say

    Hello My Name Is ________

    TOL!

    ReplyDelete
  21. or we could get them specially made...

Member of the COF Kittens Brigade
    Our name
Then we should have "positions" for ourselves - i vote that rev is the queen bc she got that awesome rob/si kiss!

my position will be simple - Robert's Boo. :)

i think i am going to make a sign for msg - something simple like COF kittens rock the house...just something to get it on tv!

    ReplyDelete
  22. hi summer!

where were you sitting in houston? freakin awesome show eh? just be glad you didnt get pummelled (sp?) with us in austin. THAT was a mess.

    ReplyDelete
  23. hi, yes. everything is super close and in walking distance. i saw bauhaus nearby and the tick tock diner was very kind to the "freaks" so that is an ideal aftershow spot.

we know tgi fridays is cheesy, but we have folks of all ages going and as weird and loud as (some of us) are- they should be pretty accommodating.

    ReplyDelete
  24. yeah, i heard Austin was a beating! I was sitting to the side of the stage, on simon's side in 106. in dallas though, i was very fortunate to be sitting in section 10 on the floor on the end of the 6the row! it was awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  25. this kills me, anyone else, yes ? yes ? have fun guys... !!!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. thx everyone...good to know that the kittens can help me out :).

so, if I change my flight...should be no big deal as long as my husband it okay with it, then I would also have to add one night to my hotel in NYC, which is kinda spendy, so maybe I'll just switch hotels...where is everyone staying? (those of you that are from away, of course)

Hmmmmm.....wonder where are Rob & the Boys staying?

Miller: Could not find your tickets on ebay...sorry. And you're coming in from AZ...how cool is that?? I fly in on Tues for work and then home on Fri, unless things change.

April: Sounds good to me, if I can work out all of the other details. If I can and you still have the tix, I'll let you know. You can also email me through my blogger id if you'd like. Thanks again for thinking of me :).

::feeling so well taken care of by you guys::

    ReplyDelete
  27. Did you guys see the front row tix on ebay for Friday's MSG show?

Section 4, Row 0, Seats 1&2...and only asking $400 for the pair?

WOW....now that would be an evening to remember!!!

    ::wonders if they're real?::

So, if anyone springs for these...I'd buy the 2nd ticket, k? :).

    ReplyDelete
  28. you sure its not row O and not 0?

i have row B. so its not by number. and i paid about that much for ONE ticket! :o

    ReplyDelete
  29. Row Zero...had tix to another show (in the front row) here in Phoenix and we were in Row Zero, too.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Christi: How'd you get soooo lucky! Those are gonna be great seats...what section are you in?

Given your Row, I'd say the one's on ebay might not be real....

Never been to show at the Garden....it looks massive!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. can u post the link to the ebay thing? i wanna see something

    ReplyDelete
  32. Sure....here you go:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/THE-CURE-FRONT-ROW-LITERALLY-MSG-NY-6-20_W0QQitemZ220246105765QQihZ012QQcategoryZ16122QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

    ::hope the link works::

The listing says NOTHING but air between you and the band, so I was thinking that 0 = Zero

    ReplyDelete
  33. and i shelled out a shitload of money. there goes our vacation fund - for about 3 years! i also got raped for rcmh too!

    ReplyDelete
  34. and that "NOTHING but air and music between you and the band"
    comment had me giggigling....

Now, that WOULD be an interesting evening...lol!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yes, but your seats....worth every penny, I'm sure!

Two nights in a row with Rob & the Boys....money well spent in my book, especially since you'll be seeing their last NA show :)

When are you getting into NY?

Be sure to kiss Rob for me :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. i am calling msg right now about this "Row zero" shit...

    ReplyDelete
  37. keep us posted...I gotta run now (lunch and errands with hubby) but will check back in when I get back.

Christi: I am sure your tickets will be okay, but it is good to double check...

    ReplyDelete
  38. there is no row zero at msg.

    per msg.

    ReplyDelete
  39. like i was saying earlier, we should all get t-shirts made!

    ReplyDelete
  40. anyways, I know i have cried to all of you a million times but i am still looking for RCMH tickets!

sugar*girl - someone bought my ticket on ebay. If it falls through I will let you know....

    ReplyDelete
  41. *** all the kittens should wear cat ears to the show! lol...how funny would that be!

    ReplyDelete
  42. april - have you tried the brokers? how much are you willing to pay? and how great do you want/need (haha) your seats to be?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Christi: Bogus tix on EBAY....boooo, but happy yours are real :)

April: Try Stubhub. We've gotten tix from them in the past that have been great and, they guarantee that their tix are the real deal.

    ReplyDelete
  44. c - i have, i have been watching them like a hawk. I don't wanna pay more than like $200-$250....

    ReplyDelete
  45. see you later everyone :)

    s*g
    xoxo

    ReplyDelete
  46. sugar - yeah, i've been watching stubhub too.....i am keeping my fingers crossed that TM will release more on Monday.

    ReplyDelete
  47. ::::giggling again 'cuz I just noticed that my initials (s*g) ar the same as Si's..lol!::::

    ReplyDelete
  48. oh, and I would like to have at least dbl letter seats in 3,4, or 5 but I know I may be dreaming!

    ReplyDelete
  49. got mine from stub hub a few weeks ago. have already called ticketmaster twice to confrim they are valid - they said they are.

heart rate slowly returning to normal...

but yeah stub hub guarantees and they will refund and get you new ticks if it turns out they are bogus. you just call them at the gate when it all happens...

    ReplyDelete
  50. april - whats your budget and section youd prefer?

    ReplyDelete
  51. i think there is a pit at rcmh - but ticketmaster said there were no "pit tickets" sold through them - so unless the pit is reserved for vip...and rcmh is the only way you can get them - there is no pit - which is good for those of us with actual seats! :) and i was also told no pit for msg - wooooohoooooo!

    ReplyDelete
  52. hey christina! sorry about last night, i fell asleep at the keyboard

    ReplyDelete
  53. dj - 3,4,5 dbl letters, less than $250

    ReplyDelete
  54. DJ!!! haaa!!! TOL!

i have done that way too much lately! i have GOT to STOP!!! i am online for literally like 12 hours a day!!!

i really need to clean my house...

*slowly sets the computer down beside her on the bed...trying...to....close...GAH!! *

    i cant do it!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I got tickets for section PIT and it says "ticketmaster" - for the RCMH show.

    ReplyDelete
  56. when the tour is over, the obsession will inevitably subside... it may take a while, though, and it will start back up all over again when the album comes out and the anticipation of another tour builds up...

    *goes to clean STINKY-ASS litterboxes!*

    ReplyDelete
  57. Have a great time to everyone who is going to the NYC shows. I really wish I was going but I just can't afford it. I keep thinking of ways I can get the money but nothing will help me out!

I should stay out of the NYC topics so I don't get tempted. LOL! Well at least I'll be on the blog to catch all the details next weekend! It's the next best thing to being there!

    ReplyDelete
  58. stm70 - did you buy from ticketmaster or a broker? you can call ticketmaster and read them your order number and they will tell you if its valid.

    ReplyDelete
  59. wow .. RCMH looks gigantic, but it only holds a little more than 6000
    .. thats pretty intimate.

april - ive been checking on ticket brokers, and unfortunetly they dont give out the seat numbers! but if you want ORCH7 Row: NN for $248 let me know

    ReplyDelete
  60. dj - hmm....wow, that's decent but I am going to hold out a little bit more..i will keep in it mind though

    ReplyDelete
  61. I'm way to obcessed myself with the tour. I'm getting nothing done! House is a mess! LOL!!!

    ReplyDelete
  62. dj - yeah, i know they don't give out seat #'s, I am looking for ORCH 3, 4, or 5 in rows with double letters....i pray that some more tickets will come up soon!

    ReplyDelete
  63. april -oh so thats what the # after orch is for!
i found orch 6, row MM for $267, just a little over $250

    ReplyDelete
  64. yeah, thats a great seat! i just dont wanna spend that much!

    ReplyDelete
  65. how many shows have you gone to this tour?

row bb is going for 650 - 1000! YIKES.

i found orch 7, row nn for 220, orch 6 row mm for 245, orch 2 row k for 270 - thats REALLY GOOD.

    ReplyDelete
  66. dj - all decent i just can't bring myself to spend that much!

    ReplyDelete
  67. april - yeah i know =(. paying that much is like getting teeth pulled out!
well ive got my fingers crossed for you, you can call ticketbastards or the venue the week before the concert - sometimes thats when they release excellent seats.

    ReplyDelete
  68. dj - yeah, i hope i find something decent!

    ReplyDelete
  69. april - you need to keep trying ticketmaster!!! someone on the official site scored sect 4 row KK yesterday!!!

keep trying to call or go online!!! they seem to keep releasing them at odd times!!

    ReplyDelete
  70. I KNOW! I MISSED IT BY LIKE 2 MINUTES...LITERALLY!

    ReplyDelete
  71. http://www.thecure.com/community/Topic.asp?assetid=1626685&artistname=The%20Cure&artistid=491&title=RCMH+TIX%21

    heres the post...

    ReplyDelete
  72. oh no april! that sucks!!!!!!!!

im so sorry - i didnt mean to being it up again...i didnt know...

    sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Sugar Girl... well looks like my ticket is getting bids, sorry!!

Anyway I saw the Phx show, incredible... understand the spouse thing, my wife (not a Cure fan) approved this trip, lol...

April, I had to pay $175 each for 2 RCMH tickets, I've been checking TM everyday and nothing. Finally went through Stub Hub and got Sec 6 , row MM which is pretty decent.

Everyone should be very careful with Ebay tickets - I bought some once for a show and when they scanned it they were fake ! They looked damn real though.

Stub Hub guarantees the tickets. Better to pay a little more and not get turned away at the door!

I've been trying to sell my ticket for MSG for weeks on Ebay to no avail. That's when I just decided to sell for face value and dump the damn thing, lol.

My buddy and I will be in Section 8, Row A, seats 1 & 2. Anyone feel free to swing over. We're going to a different place before the show.

    ReplyDelete
  74. We'll also be in Sec 6, row MM as well for RCMH, can't remember the seats though...

Of course my ticket is real on Ebay - but again be very wary of tickets on ebay.

    ReplyDelete
  75. yeah i left a message to that one that was supposedly front row - told her that there is no row zero at msg - and no response yet. no bids yet at least. hope no one falls for that.

    ReplyDelete
  76. msg - sec 1 row b
rcmh - orch 3 row ee

i get to look at simon! yay! pity - i rather enjoyed looking at porl the other night!

ha!!! accidentally typed "pork" instead of porl just then!

    TOL!

    ReplyDelete
  77. Some tips for RCMH tickets -

First off I chose to buy through stub hub because I don't have the time to do this, lol. Also flying from Phoenix I needed tickets in hand...

    Anyway:

    - Check Ticketmaster at 10:00am EST everyday. This is the time when they typically let seats go.

    - Check them again at midnight if you are awake. The ticket system is sometimes set to release seats automatically the next day.

    - Be very wary of Ebay tickets like I said. Even if you are selling the scalpers have people that will bid on your ticket, then vanish to keep it from competing with theirs !!!
Make sure the person has a high ranking, and read the comments. Before you bid - ask them a question about the tickets.

    - If they don't get back to you in a reasonable amount of time be cautious!

Anyway I just don't want to see anyone get burned like I did once.

Stub hub is a little pricier - but they guarantee the authenticity of the tickets. If there is a problem you can call their customer service line. They will also refund you.

They also cross check tickets with what has been sold at the venues. For example - if there are 10 seats in Row C, Sect 8, and someone posts 12 seats for sale...well obviously there is a problem, lol.

Again, it sucks that RCMH is sold out and we all have to go to these efforts to get seats. I was hoping they would add another show on Sunday.

    Good luck everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  78. thanks for the tips!

sugargirl - i still might have a ticket for MSG!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Do I dare get tickets? Oh I forget I got my CC bill today & I owe too much money! It's killing me! Please don't mind my pitty party. I should have saved more money to see more than 2 Cure shows this year. If they come back again next year, I'll try to go to more!

    ReplyDelete
  80. thats good advice millertime.

i messaged that person that was supposedly selling the "ROW ZERO" tickets for msg on ebay - telling her that there was no row zero- this was earlier this afternoon - still no reply.

still no bids on it yet. thank goodness.

    ReplyDelete
  81. CK - WHEN the Cure tour again next year, I will be there too. For now, I just live vicariously through ya'll in the States and try to forget that I am on the otherside of the world.

    ReplyDelete
  82. christina - check out the link to the Google map in the posting, to see the distance from MSG. Very close!

    ReplyDelete
  83. oh yes i see that now! wow! nice! that IS close!!! im sure i can pop in for a minute! but i think i am going to start lining up around 6 or so.

    ReplyDelete
  84. once i am inside - i swear i will relax!

until the next day for rcmh! then - same thing all over again!

damn these e-tickets!!!! they really need to stop selling those!!!! too much room for fraud!

    ReplyDelete
  85. (first time posting) been a fan for 20 years, since I was 11. saw them first time a month ago in Boston.

just ordered a ticket on a wim for MSG, so I'll go down early firday. it'll be nice to meet some other fans.

    J

P.S. I am not a goth. is that OK? ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  86. hi joshua. welcome to the insanity that is COF! are you sure you are ready for this? :D

    i think a lot of us are ex-goths. :D

i dont fit the goth profile AT ALL anymore. i dont even know where my black lipstick is anymore...

    ReplyDelete
  87. ok the infamous "row zero" ebay person emailed me back. they said it says row 0 on their tickets - and that they are hard tickets. i told her to call MSG and ticketmaster to verify - and i told her that there is no such thing as row 0 -that it had to be row O. she'd probably gonna have to wait to talk to msg on monday - but she can all ticketmaster tomorrow i believe.

she sounds like a naive mother. said her daughter's boyfriend bought them and he cant go - so she doesnt want to go. so my question is - why isnt HE selling them? sounds so strange.

sorry - i just get so obsessed about shit like this!

    ReplyDelete
  88. the tickets are probably real - just not row 0, but row O. so not really worth $400 imo.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Joshua - I think Chris is right - lots of ex-goths - but time marches on and lives changes.

BTW, welcome to CoF - buckle yourself in!

    ReplyDelete
  90. row zero ebay lady is going to call ticketmaster in the AM to confirm - and then she is going to call her daughter who wrote the ebay ad. she admitted that it could be row O and not 0. so it probably is O - but 15th row - not bad - but not for $400.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Hi Josha---Welcome to the COF!

I was never really a goth back in the day. I wore lots of black but didn't do the hair & make-up thing. I guess I had a little bit of goth in me but now wear T-shirts & jeans. The Cure has lots of fans who were never goths so you shouldn't worry about it!

    ReplyDelete
  92. I used to look like The Cure. Now I'm just kinda arty. I dislike the term "goth."

    ReplyDelete
  93. wow, what a warm bunch of people.

I'll defifnitely plan to come early for the get-together then!

    :)

    ReplyDelete
  94. 5,000 bars in manhattan & someone picked 'TGI Friday's'? Really?

    ReplyDelete
  95. keith - the choice of location was determined after much discussion.

First, There will be some people meeting us who are underage.

Yes, TGI Friday's is cheesy, but it's easy, inexpensive, and they have plenty of space. Also, some people want to have dinner, not just drink.

Lastly, the location had to be extremely close to MSG, so that also narrowed the options.

In any case, I don't really think the location matters - it's meeting up that does!

You don't have to join us if you don't want to. :)

    ReplyDelete
  96. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220246105765&_trksid=p3907.m32&_trkparms=tab%3DWatching

row 0 ebay lady changed her listing. row O not zero.

*pats self on back for saving a cure fan from SEVERE disspointment*

    ReplyDelete
  97. sofia-- if you guys wanna change it to somewhere more happenin' I won't be offended. I'm probably the only minor considering going anyway so I wouldn't want to force someone to go into a TGI Friday's just for me =)

    ReplyDelete
  98. annie, the plans are already made. if someone feels like they need to be seen someplace hipper then they can go there. we want to meet you. its the company that is important. :)

    ReplyDelete
  99. I agree - the company is more important! :)

    ReplyDelete
  100. i like the TGI fridays idea. at least i can get some food before the show.

how many ppl are going now? should we make reservations?

me, cat, and my neice will be there. but i will probably leave early - broker ticket paranoia!

maybe we could change the time to a bit earlier??? well - i guess if we get there early - we just get there early!

    ReplyDelete
  101. Sofia - can you email or text me....I have to ask you something....

    ReplyDelete
  102. I will be running there. I've been a long time lurker, and had been following the setlists since I stopped following The Cure.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I may try to make it with a friend of mine. I have to work it out with her, and find out if I can eat there (veg). What's the latest you need an RSVP?

    ReplyDelete
  104. ::Popping back in to catch up::

Millertime: No worries, glad you got it sold! Thanks anyway, though.

April: Thx for the heads up on your tix..do you still have one for MSG?

Christina: Sorry I have been calling you Christi all along...thought it was Christi Nap
not Christina P...lol...anyway, way to go with the Row Zero ebay lady...I'm sure she was surpised when you called...lol!

    ReplyDelete
  105. pills23 - We're aren't making formal reservations for the group as a whole, as most people may be seated in the bar area. But, if you want to eat dinner there, you are welcome to make a reservation for yourself.

We asked for people to let us know, just to give us an idea as to who we can expect. I'm glad that you will be joining us!

    ReplyDelete
  106. Sugar Girl, the person on Ebay flaked out on me, lol... Typical...

Anyway if you still want the ticket shoot me an email at jmillermba@hotmail.com , it's yours for face value which is $85 after taxes/fees.

It's a ticketfast so I can email it to you. If I don't hear anything by say Tuesday then I'm going to let Craig know I've got 1 for sale @ face. I'm done with trying to sell it on Ebay, lol.

It's Floor, Section 7, Row D, pretty decent seat.

    ReplyDelete
  107. since you never know who is reading these comments, how cool would it be if RS just popped into TGI Friday's on Friday to meet up with our little group! What a story that would be!

    ReplyDelete
  108. I'll be coming down from Boston. anyone know if MSG allow bringing a backpack into the arena?

    J

    ReplyDelete

  111. Looking forward to the meet up. And... I have a single ticket for sale and I don't feel like going the e-Bay route. Seat is Section 102, Row E. This is a great view seat. E-mail me at PapaSmeg@excite.com. I can bring it to the meet at TGIF and hand it off right there.

    See everyone on Friday!

  121. Hey everyone! I just got my flight to NYC booked - YAY!

Is there anyone attending this show that I can split a hotel room with? I got some fleabag NJ hotel with my expedia package and it looks a bit too skeezy to actually stay in. I was so excited about finding a reasonably priced flight, I didn't check the hotel closely enough - DOH!

I'm also looking for a ticket, preferably floor seats. Email me at curehalo@gmail.com if you'd like to split hotel costs or have a tix to sell.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Just wanted to say to all of you going to the shows Friday and/or Saturday - I hope all of you will have the cure experience of their dreams and oh how I wish I could be there too! ENJOY!

  136. a very quite reader...with a 3 mos. old, I typically read and run, but tomorrow is daddy's night out, and I'll probably stop by for a drink and hope beyond hope that I can trade up my seat -- in Section 105, to the floor. This will be the 3rd show for me, had a chance to go Saturday, but alas, babby duties call.....

I'll be the guy in a New Order shirt....I don't like being "that guy" in the shirt of the band he is seeing (admittedly guilty of it twice)

  137. Hi all :) My wife (Spiggy/Spiggycat here) and I (jofny, sometimes) will definitely be swinging by for a few drinks. We're busing up from DC for the shows. Looking forward to meeting more CoF people! (She's in shoulder length red hair with a tribal Cure tat on her left arm, and Im about 6'6...)

  141. will be there too, for a bite and a drink since it's right across from the garden. I'd rather have gone to Stout, they would've played all our Cure dvds for the fans on their widescreensand are very accomadating but I dont want to miss meeting peeps from COF and Procure too.

  143. COF poster from waaaay back during the Bloodflowers tour. My sister and I will stop in for a pint or two before the show tonight. Anything going on before the RCMH show tomorrow night? Thanks for organizing! Lynn & Mignon

PS - Hi Craig. Long time...

  144. Wow - i'm sooooo jealous of you guys going to the NYC shows. First time poster - long time reader of COF. I started looking at the site when i lived in England, now look in every single day to see what's going on. My wife thinks I have an addiction - yep, she's right!

She came with me to the KC Sarlight show and we then flew to Denver to Red Rocks Show. This has been the best tour ever. First saw the guys at Wembley Arena in '87 - so, long time Cure fan.

Wish I was seeing them again, and I wish I could meet up with you all in NYC. I spent all my funds on the two shows though.

Have fun everyone - i bet the last show of the tour will be extra special!!!

  145. PRE RADIO CITY MEET UP NEWS!

Good Morning, everyone! Hope everyone slept well. Missed some of you at the Tick Tock after the show (Danny/Karen), but I hope you enjoyed it. What do you think: Faith and 17 Seconds encores tonight?

Anyway, pre-show meet up is at 5:30! The location is the Heartland Brewery, 1285 Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue to locals). It's only one block up sixth avenue from RCMH.

I'll be there a few minutes before meet-up time awaiting all my new friends and gearing up for a very special show.

  146. Thanks, beckenbach. Looks like Craig put a new post on the main page for this. yay!

  148. If your flowers suddenly tip over and fall, do not panic. Just continue the procedure until your vase is filled with good combination of blooms. Now, fill half of your vase with glass marbles that may complement the color of your silk flower arrangement. For a basket container, place a green foam at the basket's bottom to keep your flowers in place.
