  4. Ok, you beat me to it, but here are more of the lyrics:
when we look back at it all as i know we will
you and me, wide eyed

i wonder...
will we really remember how it feels to be this alive?

and i know we have to go

i realize we only get to stay so long

always have to go back to real lives

where we belong

and we always have to go i realize

we always have to say goodbye
always have to go back to real lives

when we look back at it all as i know we will

you and me, wide eyed

    i wonder...
will we really remember how it feels to be this alive?

but real lives are why we stay

    for another dream
another day
for another world
another way

    for another way...

one last time before it's over
one last time before the end

one last time before it's time to go again...

  5. Craig: Thanks for everything that you do. This has been fun... but see what you have created... a bunch of addicts. If you don't keep supplying us with our new obsession.... who knows what we will all get into. Perhaps JPX can run a support group for all of us.

Seriously though... this sucks that it is the last show (for this tour). boohoo!!

    ReplyDelete
  6. What sucks more is that I was an idiot and only went to one concert. The Dallas show was the best show I have seen except the first one I saw in Dallas in 84.
Will we have to wait 2 or 4 years : (

    ReplyDelete
  7. Thanks again Craig for keeping us all up to date, all of the time !!

    onwards and upwards..

    ReplyDelete
  8. Craig: Agreed on the set list tonight, but I think they might throw in either a new song we haven't heard yet, or something else very rare.

    ReplyDelete
  9. KJ, I was at the dallas show too so at least you picked a great one! i can't believe tonight is the last night. I can't wait to see what they play and hopefully it won't be too long before we all meet again.

craig, thank you for all of your amazing updates throughout the tour and for giving us cureheads a place to feel at home and be able to obsess about this amazing tour!

    ReplyDelete
  10. With a smaller venue, I would think that it woud have more intense fans in attendance. Ergo, better show!

Did they add the RCMH show after the MSG tickets had already been on sale for a while? That would have skimmed off the fluff who would not go twice.

  11. Summer- I just saw on your profile about Stand and Deliver-- I have to get that one when I finish Never Enough.

    ReplyDelete
  12. hi all from rainy, rainy Florida... kind of set the mood.

    ReplyDelete
  13. kj, do tell! apparently i've been living in oblivion about never enough!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Hey Morris:) It's pouring here too.

I'm so tired from work that litterly I am just laying here looking out the windows at the rain again...

    ReplyDelete
  15. im looking at the sun outside, and thinking that we're all looking at the same one - yes im a dork.

    hi morris!

    ReplyDelete
  16. raining her also...could be a dark show:)

    ReplyDelete
  17. It's the end of the world as we know it...sorry wrong band.

Craig...it's been said many, many, many times. What you have done for The Cure, for us, is unbelievable. Your site has been my sole source of info "forever"...really.

So glad you kept it going...and really, recreated it altogether. Who would have thought that it could have brought a group of people together from all parts of the world to follow live updates and share experiences, both Cure and non-Cure related.

Let's hope that "this dream never ends", and before long we are back following the band later this year..next year...whenever.

There's NOTHING like a Cure show, period. Some don't understand that , and that's fine. But tonight at 9:00 PM EST, when Adagio For Strings start playing....though we are not there tonight...we'll all get chills and that is what makes this band and their fans special.

"these (chain of) flowers will never fade"

nuff said...let's let Robert and the boys bring it home...

Plus, once the tours over, I look forward to the return of "Cure Spotting"...can't wait to hear when a weather man is Tuscaloosa plays Hot Hot Hot in the middle of Summer ;-)

    Peace

  18. While we wait, get the audio rip from the Fuse MSG show here:

  19. Hi all... I'm loving the rain. Nice evening to be inside and chat.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Thank you Tim and everyone else. I couldn't do it without all of the help you guys give me.

Tim: Already stockpiling those Curespottings. : )

    ReplyDelete
  21. Summer: It is a fantastic biography. You'll want to have the complete discography playing as you read it.
Never Enough: The Story of the Cure by Jeff Apter.

Here is the amazon link http://www.amazon.com/Never-Enough-Story-Jeff-Apter/dp/1844498271/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1214090148&sr=8-4

  22. I am crying in the Charlotte airport cuz I am not at the show.

    ReplyDelete
  23. oops. I posted the Hardcover link. Buy it in paperback- much cheaper! When I finish it, I will get a hardback copy for my "collection."

    ReplyDelete
  24. oh cat! =(

    when does your flight leave?

    ReplyDelete
  25. At least once the tour is over there shouldn't be a complete drought of Cure stuff! Only 84 more days until the album is released, and we still don't know very much about it. I am sure we will have lots of reasons to keep checking back as news becomes available.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Cat: It sucks. You should be at this show. I guess you've seen the soundcheck info? : (

    ReplyDelete
  27. Jarbee: I know I'll still be here everyday. : )

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hello Craig, hello cureheads, thank you very much for everything you did the last two month . It was an incredible time ( and hard stay up all night in Berlin), but it was so much fun.Sad that it´s ending so fast.:(
For tonight I´m really optimitstic that we´ll "see" one of the best shows ever. Open with OOTW for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  29. kj - have you read 10 imaginary years, or after the rain.. the cure?

    ReplyDelete
  30. There's a priceless pic in 10 imaginary years... hair crimping!

    ReplyDelete
  31. i love that book! i do believe that we're way overdue for the next 20 imaginary years!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Cat!

Why aren't you at he show? Want me to call you? You should drive to our house.

You can hang out with us for a few days in the woods.

    ReplyDelete
  33. No-- I think I was in med school when 10 Imaginary years came out, so i wasn't even aware of it-- too busy learning! NE author does reference it a lot, though. (BTW_ not available on Amazon). Just ordered AtR before I sent this

    ReplyDelete
  34. 10 Imaginary Years is an awesome books, one of my Cure treasures :). I also have this In Between Days book which is 'ok'.. I'll have to check out Never Enough.

    ReplyDelete
  35. kinda off topic - how many of you got the FUSE torrent from last night?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Hello Craig, COF, all of you, sweet-funny-clever people (like most cure fans are);

i'm a long time lurker (thanks mysterious Craig for all these years of cure info, i couldn't say how much i appreciate...), but i must say i've been here hundred times a day since the beginning of the 4th tour.

I only saw the Montreal show, but almost flyed to New York (bouhouhouuu husband in Paris for work, and no one of trust to take care of the babies this WE, i was almost there, matter of... grrr).

Not particularly a big chatter, too shy, not organised (je vous lis toujours en terminant un truc urgent et une bouteille de vin tout à la fois pffft), and i feel a bit awkward in english... but i tought it was important on this last night to say hello; to say that i've felt as you this very special and intense wave of energy that The Cure and only them can splash all around.

You were big part of the party to me.

    Love!

    ReplyDelete
  37. anah - i just downloaded the Vuve bittorrent so i could download the FUSE thing. it says estmated time is 23 hours to download the FUSE torrent?!
this is my first time downloading a torrent.. could you help out a clueless cure fan?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Posted a photo from inside RCMH that Kate just sent.
Interpol's Our Love To Admire has started at RCMH.
    It's started here too. : )

    ReplyDelete
  39. Ok, I am back- just went on a shopping spree at Amazon- found a used copy of 10 I Y and After the Rain, and IBD_ armchair guide. Now I will have something to read when these posts are not a nightly thing. I cannot believe how addicted I have become to this group, and I only found you all last week!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  40. just watching the beginning of the SHOW video, and was wondering... i wonder if any of the fans they show at the beginning visit COF. Anyone happen to know anyone from that montage??? (strange thoughts on a rainy day) :)

[and the way the rain comes down hard...
that's the way i feel inside...]

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hi COF Peeps!

Hard to believe it's the last show for the tour! I'm crying big time! I haven't been posting on here all that long but I truely think I found the place where I feel the Love the most. COF RULES!!!

Craig thanks for all that you do! I'll surely be checking out the site daily even on days when nothing is happening in Cure Land. I'm addicted!!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. morris - i always wonder where they are now, and what they look like today!

    ReplyDelete
  43. dj scribbles: I started downloading the torrent earlier this morning -- mine took about 10 hours or so to finish.

Just watched Underneath the Stars on it.

Oh my god. I've been trying to hold back from listening to bad bootlegs of it... but... I have no words.

I'm really really hoping they'll tour again next year. I need to see this live...

    ReplyDelete
  44. Is it an omen that OOTW was playing on my iPod when I woke up (just 5 minutes ago)

I wanted to sleep forever, make it so this day didn't come.

    I don't want this to end :(

    ReplyDelete
  45. howdy, everyone. i know i only started posting recently, but i want to jump on the "thanks craig" bandwagon. i've been relying on COF since it came into existence and can't imagine how much hard work and energy it must demand, and for no profit! all for the love of the music.

to quote sapphire from Almost Famous: "They don't even know what it is to be a fan. Y'know? To truly love some silly little piece of music, or some band, so much that it hurts."

    now, let's rock radio city!

    ReplyDelete
  46. dj---I downloaded the Fuse show torrent and it took about 6 hours. Usually when you 1st start it will say 24 hours till compleation but once it gets going it will get faster. Still it does take a while. You just have to run it when you not using it.

    ReplyDelete
  47. wow, RCMH is beautiful inside. must be a completely different feel than the garden.

    ReplyDelete
  48. kitty - i want to help and seed it, how would i go about with that?

do all torrents take forever to download?

    ReplyDelete
  49. [...SHOW Cure lineup was pretty bad ass]

    :)

    ReplyDelete
  50. DJ, you might need to change some settings on your firewall(s) and router (if you have a router) to enable incoming and outgoing connections on certain ports.

This site will tell you all you need to know and then some.
    http://btfaq.com/serve/cache/1.html

    ReplyDelete
  51. thanks abrash! hopefully by the end of the week ill know how to put it on dvd

    ReplyDelete
  52. Voice mail from Chris. She says they wouldn't allow her to bring in her flowers and the COF sign, so she signed her name, my name, and a bunch of names from here, on the sign and they were going to give it to security, and have them give it to Robert.
Security at the stage door started yelling at her and giving her a hard time, but one of the guys from 65DOS came out, took the sign and flowers, and said he would bring them to Robert.
It was the blonde, "Kurt Cobain" looking one from 65DOS, Chris said. : )

    ReplyDelete
  53. wow, that's awesome of the guy from 65 to do that. i wonder if RS will mention it on the official site?

    ReplyDelete
  54. aww thats so nice of them!! :) stupid security!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. It's been raining harder here than it has in weeks and I don't think it's coincidence.

Craig: Like all the others who've echoed the sentiment here; endless thank yous for all you've done over the years, and for making COF what it is. Going to the Blog format was pretty much the best idea ever.

    ReplyDelete
  56. oh my god !! JOE FRO GOTHER FLOWERS??!! I LOVE HIM!!

    ReplyDelete
  57. OMG! It's beautiful. What a wonderful end to the tour. Too bad I'm not there too. But I am happy to be here with all of you *waves*. I'm going to leave work soon and go open that bottle of 7 Deadly Zins I bought for this occasion. *sniff*

Why does it all have to end????

    What? A little too dramatic?

    ReplyDelete
  58. DJ: It's fine! Basically it has to do with how many seeds are out there. A seed is someone who is hosting the download. So if 30 people are trying to feed off of 1 seed, it'll take longer.

Just leave it in the background, and it'll speed up eventually. Sometimes large files take awhile at first.

I hope that helps, and if I stated something wrong-I'm not a perfect torrent user! LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  59. 65dos are really special guys.

Thank you to them from me! What a nice thing to do.

Good job to Chris for putting up a fuss too!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Morning, Bells!

    Hi everyone.

What a beautiful venue - seriously, could there be a more fitting place for tonight's show.

I mean. if this does have to end, let it end beautifully

    ReplyDelete
  61. chris put up a fuss at the houston show too...but unfortunately it didnt work...:( but im glad everything worked out! :) especially for the last show

    ReplyDelete
  62. ...I think it's great the sign made it to him.

-----> I hope He knows how *much we all love him*.

    ReplyDelete
  63. anah - thanks!it says 7 hours now =)
im so jealous of Chris! i cant believe she got to meet Joe-Fro!!

    ReplyDelete
  64. OK - I'm gonna call OOTW to open.... just a feeling

    ReplyDelete
  65. I just read cats review from last night. I was always wondering what STFU means, NOW I know.Uh!
Feel very sorry her, she couldn´t be on the show tonight ( But Tom Waits waits, right?)

    ReplyDelete
  66. Agathe: Welcome!

    Elise: Hi!

    DJ: <3

    ReplyDelete
  67. DJ, what bittorrent client are you using? I'm using MicroTorrent (or uTorrent, as people call it). I just discovered that checking the Enable Encryption checkbox in uTorrent sped up my DL rate.

    ReplyDelete
  68. abrash - im using Vuve (formerly called azureus)

    ReplyDelete
  69. soo..... i am anxious for the show to start! lol

    ReplyDelete
  70. I am a long time lurked as well. I even started a facebook account because of you guys.
I saw the fellas for the first time in 16 years. The Dallas show was brilliant. I'm not a big fan of Dallas audiences but when you live in Okc you don't get much of a choice.
Well anyway, what I'm really trying to say is watching the comments is almost like being there. Thank you Mr. Craig.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Just noticed the soundcheck songs - maybe my call for OOTW is not that far out of left field as I first thought.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Guys, go check the front page, under the RCMH pre-show topic. Fantac had a surprise for us all. Thank you Fantac and Elise. I love you guys so much!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Hi Chris - are you going to stay for the fun?

    ReplyDelete
  74. dj---You OK with the torrent question you asked me? I stepped away for a few minutes but I think Anah answered it for you. Thanks anah!

And yes torrents do take forever even under the best conditions!

    ReplyDelete
  75. welcome christopher!

oh wow.. that fantac and elise!

    ReplyDelete
  76. kitty - yep! one more thing, if thats ok with you. am i seeding it at the same time im downloading it? im reading this bittorrent manual/guide and my head is hurting =/. whatevs, i wanna be pro at it even if it takes me all summer

    ReplyDelete
  77. Too bad about the flowers & the COF sign chris was trying to get in. RCMH security sucks but cool that the 65 DOS dude will be giving it to Robert!

    ReplyDelete
  78. It was all FANTAC! I am just the messenger.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Wow, that shirt is so sweet. :)

    ReplyDelete
  80. Chris: "65Dos sounds better now. Chest and inner ear doing well tonight. Great acoustics!"

    ReplyDelete
  81. Fantac-- What about several hundred more of those shirts, with "4VirtualTour" for those of us following along! I'd buy one!

    ReplyDelete
  82. I don't know how long I can watch. My hunger for the cure doesn't really fill the stomach.

    ReplyDelete
  83. *runs and hugs v*

I can't believe we have been here since the start of this.... what a ride....

    ReplyDelete
  84. Hey DJ! :) I'm just stopping in between errands. :(

    ReplyDelete
  85. 26 individual posters so far in this thread!

    Wonder how many people lurk?

    JOIN US LURKERS!!!!

    Most of us won't bite :) :) :)

    ReplyDelete
  86. Hey Elise. *hugs* I can't believe that it's almost over... Wow. What a fun tour it's been. :)

    ReplyDelete
  87. Hey V! I'm all emotional already and the show hasn't even started. : )

    ReplyDelete
  88. kj - I have a policy of never buying memorabilia for concerts that I haven't been too.... I am sitting here in my 2008 4Tour hoodie as I decided that I *have* been to every one of these shows, and I can wear my hoodie with pride :)

    ReplyDelete
  89. Chris: "Jason watching 65 from side of stage"

    ReplyDelete
  90. hey gang!
    nice homegrown COF shirt...

    ReplyDelete
  91. Aw this so nice of fantac & elsie! What a great shirt! I'd be proud of wearing it too.

    ReplyDelete
  92. group hug for {{{{{{Craig}}}}}}}

    ReplyDelete
  93. im really going to miss 65dos, and im glad many cure fans warmed up to them.

    ReplyDelete
  94. DJ, "seeding" means you've finished downloading the whole thing but are leaving the torrent running so you can help upload it for everyone else who's still downloading. That increases everyone's DL speeds. With Bittorrent, you're uploading AND downloading at the same time. It's like a room full of people who are each trying to get a complete 50-page document. You might initially get pages 5-9 from someone and pages 37-48 from someone else. You can then share those pages with someone else who needs them, but at the same time you're copying pages 1-4 or 28-36, etc., from someone else. Only after you get all 50 pages though, would you be "seeding," that is, have a complete copy.

    ReplyDelete
  95. That was sweet of Fantac to make the t-shirt.

Thanks for all your hard work, Craig!

    ReplyDelete
  96. Can somebody please record bloodflowers? I wish I was in RCMH tonight, I still shudder when I think of the live version I saw in London in the Dream Tour.

    ReplyDelete
  97. And of course elise too (Sorry!)

    ReplyDelete
  98. someone should seriously look into selling the shirt....that would be so awesome! and to proceeds could go to a charity or some type of good cause :) i am sure that everyone on COF would buy one...

    ReplyDelete
  99. Elise-- you have been to them! We probably pay more attention to set lists and subtleties than 99% of those in attendance! COFers have looked at more photos, heard more downloaded versions of the songs than almost everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  100. that is a great shirt...nice job Fantac...

    22 minutes and counting

    ReplyDelete
  101. thanks abrash!
i keep my torrent open then instead of closing it after im done downloading? im sorry, im so torrent ignorant! *hangs head in shame*

im sure there will be a few more shows this year =)

    ReplyDelete
  102. Okay, it's definitely been one of those days for me, but reading what Fantac wrote just made me cry. :')

What a special experience we've all had here this tour. While I'm sad to see the tour ending, I'm so happy that we all got to share these shows with each other. Thanks, Craig, for hosting these chats. :)

    ReplyDelete
  103. thanks Abrashtx for explaining the seeding thing to dj. I was trying to write it and i'm not too sure how it all works myself so I would have confused her. Your explanation is so much better than what I was going to say.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Bernie - thanks for the thanks, but seriously I just forwarded an email.

    Hi Zap!

    ReplyDelete
  105. is the band expected to do any euro festivals this summmer that we know of yet?

    ReplyDelete
  106. And on that note, I have to go back to work...:( I'll check in later, as I can.

    ReplyDelete
  107. You're more than welcome, Kitty--I just stole an analogy I read somewhere. I'm a tech writer by profession so I like figuring out how things work (or breaking them), and describing how to use them.

    ReplyDelete
  108. FANTAC clap clap clap!

65DOS are powerful musiciens and high class people, i'm glad it ends up like this.

    ReplyDelete
  109. craig: check your gmail acct

    ReplyDelete
  110. See Craig: We love you.

    And you deserve it.

And I want a shirt too.

    Fantac: WINS.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Abrashtx---I actually test software myself so I like to figure out how things work but I have a hard time trying to explain how things work to other people. I have to write up testing plans and I find it difficult to do.

    ReplyDelete
  112. [SHOW is a great warm up viddy]

    :)

    ReplyDelete
  113. many thanks abrash and kitty! *hug*

im listening to a 65dos boot, and i think im going to cry. shit. why does it have to end? i hope their friendship with the cure continues on

    ReplyDelete
  114. I won't be on tonight, but I hope you all have a great time (one last time). We must do this again Craig. Drop me a line if you ever come to Texas for a concert.

I'm taking my wife out for a much deserved break.

    ReplyDelete
  115. DJ, yeah, after you get all the different pieces of the file, you should leave the torrent open so you can seed. . See the Ratio column in UTorrent? That shows the ratio of what you've uploaded vs what you've downloaded. If it's less than 1, you've downloaded more than you've uploaded. If it's 1 or greater, you've uploaded more than you've downloaded. I like to upload 2x as much as I download, just to be polite. Some people leave their torrent running overnight.

Also, after you're done, you should run Ad-Aware and SpyBot just in case.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Ok, ok, I love all of you too. But I need to hold it together for the show. So please stop. : )

    Seriously though, THANK YOU.

Now let's rock Radio City down to the ground! : )

    ReplyDelete
  117. Kitty, testers don't get the respect they deserve. At my last contract, mgt was trying to squeeze every last dime out of the budget so they eliminated the entire QA team! They figured that the developers could do their own testing. o_O You know how well that turned out.

    ReplyDelete
  118. joefrog-- just guessing fomr you name and being in texas. Did you go to TCU?

    ReplyDelete
  119. Wow it's almost show time! I'm going to cry!!! :(

    ReplyDelete
  120. joefrog--enjoy you evening with you wife!

    ReplyDelete
  121. From Olivier: "Bruce Willis is attending (Orch3 row FF)"

    ReplyDelete
  122. Texas and Florida rule the comments :)

    ReplyDelete
  123. I am opening iTunes so I can play the audio from the Atlanta show as a homemade simulcast.

    ReplyDelete
  124. I bet OOTW as opener and o.c. Bloodflowers to close the set.

    ReplyDelete
  125. abrash - im using Vuve - and the ony thing i see is th download progress, but ill switch to utorrent afterwards.

    id say plainsong or UTS

    ReplyDelete
  126. Chris: "Fucking Bruce Willis is here! Got pics but he told me to stop after 3 shots!"

    ReplyDelete
  127. bruce willis?? HA! thats so awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  128. I wonder if Bruce Willis is a 'die-hard' Cure fan :)

    ReplyDelete
  129. Cat and I have been texting, she just said she'll 'b here soon'...

    :)

    ReplyDelete
  130. I just finished listening to my Radio City Music Hall '96 audience bootleg. Damn good sound. I hope the tapers are out tonight!!!! Cheers all on COF from California!!! Craig thanks for the years of work!!!!

    ReplyDelete

  136. abrashtx---You are 100% right!!!
SW testers get no respect at all! Most of the developers where I work think I don't know a thing about programing. OK I'm not good enough to write up something amazing but I know enough for what I need to do. But when they need to know how to use the actual application, who do they come running too! ME!!! I get no respect from them nor management.
