I'm headed down in a bit to the College World Series again tonight (we ain't got much in Omaha, but we love our CWS). And I'll be rooting for LSU over N.C.
In lieu of a concert tonight, I can provide live updates on the score.
That might be useful unless you have a television...Or a radio...Or internet access :)
Okay, I'm just kidding - I didn't even know that the Heels were still in the series until I read DA's post. :D So you can have this one - I'm not interested in starting another V/COF war! o:)
Have you all listened to some of the other songs on that list? What's up with this Camp Rock Cast teenny bopper SHIT? And Iced Earth is PURE METAL. Weird weird mix of singles.
Monkey: Sounds good! Would give us all an excuse to get together again. But when someone gets a hit or run, you can send in a Cure song title instead of saying single, triple, rbi, etc. : )
ok, how about if it's a song from TC, it's a single, if it's a song from BF or WMS it's a double, HOTD & KM3 are triples and faith, pornography & disintegration is a home run??
Off to work in a minute. For those interested, my changes were delayed by a day, but the best thing about it, it had NOTHING to do with the time I have been spending here... woo hoo
Elise: Oh, I'm so glad that your delays were not caused by your time spent here. It's always nice when you can blame something else for a delay...it's not a good feeling to be the holdup. (Unfortunately, it looks like I may miss a deadline tomorrow, unless I can work some miracles in the morning! Not a happy feeling, but I have been known to pull things off at the last minute...if my brain cooperates and focuses! ;) )
V/C- I live 20 minutes from UNC...but unfortunately, I am not really into all that stuff. Now UFC, that's another story! :P
...And I really hope the singles (and further-the new album) continue to do well. We do want success for The Cure, and of course, to see them next year to support the album!
Hello people. I have lurked for a long time, but have never posted. I just wanted to say hello. Thanks for the site Craig. I've been checking it out for years.
Glad to see they're debuting so high. This perplexes me though since I still have yet to see The Only One released in any of my local record stores. Why does Un-universal suck so bad at this distribution thing?! Bring back Fiction kplzthx.
It is a slow night....will I lose my membership to COF for posting the link below?....I think it is a fairly straightforward cover of a most sacred Cure song...maybe I'm just looking for a reaction because I'm bored...I just happened to stumble upon it surfing youtube. Oh, well please don't shoot the messenger!
nov - I WANT FICTION BACK SO FUCKING MUCH. dude, whered chris parry go? but im not sure the cure would do well under the new reincarnation of fiction. but i hate universal/geffen with the cure. its so not the cure. they should do polydor or elektra ..
summer - fiction died when the (cure left- partly because robert didnt like the part in the contract that restricted him from singing in other groups)in 2001. they got resurrected in 2004 - snow patrol, kate nash, the yeah yeah yeahs, and elbow are signed onto the new fiction. elbow is quite good actually..
fiction is owned by polydor who is owned by UNIVERSAL. even indie is linked to big labels, to survive. the cure were with fiction since the first album, im disgusted with geffen.
craig - do you know where chris parry is now? there is no say about him from anybody at all!
Okay peeps, shameless promotion alert: I publish a literary webzine, and I have just added an essay I wrote about The Cure a few years ago. It's called "Curioser and Curioser: The Cure and Their Artistic Siblings." You can find the webzine (Clockwise Cat) in my profile, and the essay, plus accompanying lyrics and pictures, is in the Table of Contents!
thank you all for clearing that up! i'm ashamed to say that i did lose touch with my cure world during that period of time. that sucks though. universal sucks!
I loved when new singles would drop for Disintegration and Wish because you knew there would be about 3 or 100 versions of each release!! Bring back the clear vinyl! Bring back the pink vinyl!! The clear 12" printed sleeves! Lovebox!!
I totally agree Summer. I don't think Universal's left hand knows what the right hand is doing. It's definitely not getting the singles out there as Robert intended.
god, what has happened to music today? robert needs to just start his own label and let all of us do the promoting! at least my favorite record store here in houston still knows whats up!
I've got one here in Tampa that I LOVE but they're haveing a hell of a time getting the new singles from their distributor. At least I was able to pick up a pretty sweet collection of old Blues stuff for a total steal. What's the name of your fave record shop Summer? I'm going to be passing through Houston in the fall and could use a good place to shop about for vinyl, etc.
It's called Cactus Music. They closed down for a brief period, but everyone in Houston protested that they come back and they did and now they even have a full vinyl-both new and used-added to it. There is another one called Black Dog Records, but i haven't been to it yet. I just moved back to Houston after being gone for 5 years. You're in FL? I'll be there in August!
deadlyboy - then how come no one threw him a funeral party, huh?
summer- the sad thing about universal being pretty much the biggest music thing out there is they own even the independent labels. they are corporate whores.
should i buy the US version for$2.50, or go $10 for a european version just to say - i have the european single? well the only good thing about no mutiple versions is that you dont have to shell out a load of money for mutiple copies... i think id rather pay up though.
and i love cactus!! and black dog records is amazing!!! in my opinion black dog has a better selection of vinyl than cactus but cactus is good cd wise....also- cactus has newer vinyl and black dog has some new stuff, but a lot of older stuff
Ahh cool thanks for that info! I'll be spending a few days out there in December before heading to CA to visit the family for x-mas stuff. Yep, I'm here in FL. At least for the time being. If you're in the Tampa area, check out Vinyl Fever. Obviously they sell vinyl, but their new/used CD and DVD sections are super crazy. They've got a store up in Tallahassee (hope I spelled that at least half-right) that's even bigger. I swear if I won the lottery, about 70% would go towards music and starting a label. Glad to hear you're not visiting until August, as the heat and humidity are just brutal here right now. Anything fun bringing you here?
Hi Sara! I live near I-10 & Memorial area. What about you? Thanks for the info about black dog! one saturday, i plan on spending the day there and i need to go check out sound exchange. i haven't been there in years and thats where i got most of my cure stuff. i wish record rack was still around though.
NovTrilogy, i'm coming to FL for my birthday! I have a friend in Port St. Lucie that I'll be staying with. I think thats kinda far from Tampa though. I'm flying into Orlando. I can't wait! When you come out here in December, i'll have to give you a tour of the city!
Cat, I'm loving your essay... I would love to have a chat sometime about artists/writers/thinkers that are conceptually linked to The Cure. Awesome stuff. :^D
Yes. We got caught in the rain. It was raining, it was pouring, the old man was snoring. But it was cool. Sometimes its nice to sit and watch the rain and all the neat lightning.
They finally postponed the game (three hours later) until tomorrow tonight.
If there is a God, Craig, he is an LSU fan. UNC was already up one run in the first inning and the bases were loaded when the rain started :)
Summer: A birthday trip. Nice! I think Port St Lucie is exactly east of here on the other side of FL. There's lots of cool stuff to see and do there though, so that's good. Too bad you won't be closer to Tampa and St Pete. The Dali Museum and the Tampa Theatre are both musts. And there's tons of other stuff. I'll definitely take you up on your sightseeing offer though! Last time I was through TX was for SXSW. It was crazy and I definitely could've used some ( a lot) of guidance.
I'm off to catch the news and finish reading some Brautigan. Feel free to get in touch via e-mail or myspace or whatever the crazy kids are doing these days. I'm pretty sure my e-mail is in my profile thingie though. It was good talking to you! Goodnight all.
Elise: Oh, I'm really not looking at anything interesting...it's just one of those things where you look at something because you're curious and it leads to other things and so on... ;)
I'm curious what you do for a living. I'm assuming its some kind of IT work. I heard you mention Accenture in another post. (I think it was you). We just brought in a ton of Accenture people at our company.
hi elise! i was thinking about you today at work, well iw as thinking about timtams really lol, bc i work at a grocery store and i was just thinking...i wish they would sell tim tams here! lol
summer i live in the pasadena area....i havent been to sound exchange....where is it? i dont know if you've met christinap but she lives here too! lol
Thanks very much, maree! That's a compliment coming from you, Miss Scribe! :-)
I published your comment, btw.
You should write your own Curioser and Curioser essay sometime... it really helped put my love for The Cure and these other artists into sharper perspective.
[What the fuck is this cheesy dancing on David Letterman??]
I finally put Freakshow onto my iPod... I really think this is a brilliant song, with many luscious layers best discerned through earphones...
Okay, enough superfluity about that song from me!
I am going to bed now, and when I wake up, I will be off to NYC for the MSG show! Hellz yeah muthafuckaz.
Craig, I will text you special reports. The rest of youze who aren't going to NYC: enjoy the chat and send out positive vibes for me so that I can wriggle my way to the front again! :-D Hopefully I can just stand with Chris in the second row.
And if you're going to MSG, look forward to seeing you at the meetup!
PS I am already getting depressed about the end of the show, because that means no more Cure shows pour moi until who knows when. I really shouldn't complain at ALL - I am a spoiled Cure fan!
Sorry guys, had to have a chat with one of my girlfriends. Her nephew was killed in a car accident on Monday. Just awful.
DA, I am a business anlyst - so basically the meat in the sandwich between the business and IT - mapping processes, identifying improvements (procedurally or system) and then implementing the changes. Keeps me off the streets :)
Talk soon.
Hi Sara, Bye Sara
I hope I haven't built up the Tim Tam sooo much that you'll be disappointed. Jenny got hers the other day and she really likes them.
Oh wow Elise, that's terrible about your friend's nephew.
I understand exactly what you do for a living. Right now I'm the IT slice of bread in your sandwich. But they've told me my job will be eliminated on August 31. That's why they're bringing in the Accenture people, because they want to lay a bunch of us off.
So basically, if we want to get our severance package, we have to train our replacements. I've pretty much got a new job all lined up (and it would be more along the lines with what you do), but I want to hold out until the end of August so I can get that severance package and essentially have two incomes for a while. If they want to let us go because we're too expensive, that's fine. But I'm gonna milk those blood-suckers for every last cent I can...
DA - it sounds like it works out OK for you in the end. I haven't had much to do with the Accenture team here yet, but have to make a decision over the weekend as to which project I want to work on in the future - either Business Transformation (with Accenture) or Customer Service Strategy (which is primarily processes) - I'm leaning toward the latter :)
Just make sure you pick the one that you think will make you happier...And don't just automatically pick the one that pays more. (Oh God, I sound like a fortune cookie)
Let's clear this up right now, LSU was NOT in any trouble. Down 2-0, bases loaded in the top of the 1st, is just where we wanted them. Seriously, this team can not win unless they have to stage a stunning 9th inning comeback. Just look at the Rice game from 2 days ago.
Wait a minute...I just realized that they've played 2 teams so far - UNC and Rice! : O
No way this is a coincidence!
And V, don't play all innocent. I know it was your Prayers For Rain that stopped the game. You knew it was your only chance. : )
DA - Thanks for the advice. Never fear, I always do what I think is best for me personally, the pay is just an added bonus. Although, the hubby will always try to steer me to the highest pay.
Craig - Baseball, bah - that's not a real game :).... err, let me change that to, that's not a game that I know anything about at all.
Craig: >:) Now those are some interesting coincidences, aren't they? If only I could claim to have that much power...if I did, I surely would have used it for other, more interesting things by now. ;)
Kate! Amazingly enough, Vinyl Fever is still alive and kicking. Kind of amazing considering how most indie shops seem to be dropping left and right these days. How long have you been away from the Tampa area? Since I've been here, VF has expanded their DVD section and their vinyl section. Seems like I'm always walking away with armfuls of stuff every time I go there. I'm actually in the midst of finishing up the construction on my blog, "The Record Monkey" which will review local and out of state indie shops. Reviews from myself and others across the states will be listed there by state. Hopefully it shapes up into something good!
That's very cool news! Let's just hope it stays in the Top 5 or 10 for several weeks & The Only One too!
Haven't really heard it playing that much in Philly. A few times on the alternative station but no were else and most chain stores don't have the single or very few copies. There are hardly any independent record stores anymore where I live. Used to go to a place in my town called Record Rev and they carried imports, rare, independent music from all over & they would order stuff if they didn’t carry it. But they went out of business years ago. Another favorite place of mine was Repo Records in Bryn Mawr but I think they was closed down that location but they still have a location on South Street. I used to shop at Tower but now they are gone too. Now all that’s left are Best Buy, Circuit City, FYI, Sony Store……crap places! So I have to go into Philly to find any decent record stores. AKA Music in Center City is quite good. Then there the Record Exchange that has all used vinyl & cd’s. You can find some awesome stuff there. Oh and then there is Siren Records in Doylestown that’s decent but not ultra close to me. It’s too bad most of the local places I used to go to are gone & long forgotten.
So far, so good here. Enjoying having this Friday off and getting ready to head down to the beach for a swim. Hopefully by the time I get back home, there'll be a job offer on my voice mail! I hate interviewing, having a feeling everything went really well, and then waiting around forever for a response. It's only been two days though, so I guess I shouldn't be whinging so much hehe.
I also resurrected my blog and updated it in my profile. I can't believe it's been about 5 months since I last updated it! Are you gonna be around tonight for the live MSG updates?
wow, i live not too far from the beach, but i rarely go. galveston is just not that nice! and its sooo hot right now.
i hate job hunting too. the waiting is the worst. good luck! i hope you get something great!
i am going to try to be on tonight, but my computer is in one room and the TV for the Fuse thing is in another! i'm recording it, so i can run back and forth! i just wish i could be there. that'd be much easier.
Summer: It's funny, I rarely go to the beach here either, mostly because of the overcrowding. Clearwater Beach is pretty decent though. I think I got kind of spoiled growing up in San Diego and having lots of desolate beaches to wander up and down.
I wish I had Fuse!! Hopefully that broadcast will make its way to the internet is some way, shape or form soon. You can check out my blog here:
http://recordmonkey.wordpress.com
I have to warn you though, it's still in a pretty skeletal state since I've been slacking on it for quite some time. I'll start updating it on a more frequent basis though (at least once a month...) ;)
Aww thanks. It's a never ending process to keep up with it, but it keeps me out of trouble for the most part. ;) Between drooling over the MSG setlist tonight and doing other random things around the house, I still have about 30 blues and jazz LPs to add to it. I picked up a bunch of great stuff yesterday thanks to my economic stimulus check. Wee!
This is cool. But I have a dumbass question.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the difference between their "Hot 100 Singles" and "Hot 100 Single Sales" lists? They both have different songs on them.
Or are these billboard people paid based on how many lists they can compile? :)
Heh.
ReplyDeleteDA, i think that's the best observation i've heard all day. these lists are confusing and meaningless. but if the cure are at # 2, then woo-hoo!
ReplyDeleteOh no doubt. I'm very glad to see The Cure on the list. I noticed The Only One is number five on that same list. Very very cool!
ReplyDeleteHot 100 = radio airplay & sales.
ReplyDeleteHot Sales = based only on sales.
Unless they've changed it again. : )
Yeah, that makes sense... plenty of sales, no radio play... sounds like The Cure. :^P
ReplyDeleteHey Craig
ReplyDeleteI'm headed down in a bit to the College World Series again tonight (we ain't got much in Omaha, but we love our CWS). And I'll be rooting for LSU over N.C.
In lieu of a concert tonight, I can provide live updates on the score.
That might be useful unless you have a television...Or a radio...Or internet access :)
yay, the only one is at 5!
ReplyDeleteThe Cure rock..i really need to get the single so it charts here in the UK!
Dumb Anguish: Sorry to inform you, but you are picking the wrong team to cheer for. :)
ReplyDelete*is a UNC alumna :) *
Sorry V, Tar Heels are going down tonight! : )
ReplyDeleteDumb: Yeah, I've got ESPN doing the updates tonight, with WWL doing backup. : )
you guys want me to send live updates from my baseball game sunday night? i'm in the beverly hills wood bat league. ;)
ReplyDeleteCraig: We'll see about that... ;)
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm just kidding - I didn't even know that the Heels were still in the series until I read DA's post. :D So you can have this one - I'm not interested in starting another V/COF war! o:)
Have you all listened to some of the other songs on that list? What's up with this Camp Rock Cast teenny bopper SHIT? And Iced Earth is PURE METAL. Weird weird mix of singles.
ReplyDeleteMonkey: Sounds good! Would give us all an excuse to get together again.
ReplyDeleteBut when someone gets a hit or run, you can send in a Cure song title instead of saying single, triple, rbi, etc. : )
Monkey - that is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteV: I'll never start a war with you ever again. Those 10 minutes were terrible! : )
ReplyDeleteCraig: Aww, good. Those were the worst 10 minutes ever! :)
ReplyDeleteok, how about if it's a song from TC, it's a single, if it's a song from BF or WMS it's a double, HOTD & KM3 are triples and faith, pornography & disintegration is a home run??
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy seeing Cure songs on the chart again. It proves that they can sell singles even without radio airplay. Cool!
ReplyDeleteactually 3ib could be a single, since it's still a hit. TC will signify a strikeout! :P
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, all
ReplyDeleteSo a relatively quiet night on COF again I see.
I hate non-concert days.
Off to work in a minute. For those interested, my changes were delayed by a day, but the best thing about it, it had NOTHING to do with the time I have been spending here... woo hoo
Have a good night.

ReplyDeletehi there rainsnout!
ReplyDeletethis is awesome news,#2??? wait, doesnt that mean theyre in the top 40 now? i thought robert wouldnt like that.. ?_?
Glad to see they're debuting so high. This perplexes me though since I still have yet to see The Only One released in any of my local record stores. Why does Un-universal suck so bad at this distribution thing?! Bring back Fiction kplzthx.

ReplyDeleteCraig: Tell him to send the rain this way. We got like a 5 minute storm and that is just not enough!!! *in the mood for rain*
ReplyDeletehes UNDER one dj..as in a rotting corpse long time dead ..buried in the back garden of some unknown cure fan

Hi everybody!!!
ReplyDeleteElise!!!
ReplyDeleteCat, I'm loving your essay... I would love to have a chat sometime about artists/writers/thinkers that are conceptually linked to The Cure. Awesome stuff. :^D
ReplyDeleteElise! Hey :)
ReplyDeleteElise... the person responsible for my current curiosity about Tim Tams, lol... heya! :^D
ReplyDeleteHi v and Nov!
ReplyDeleteHow are things?
I'm just taking a moment to breathe. Things are running at a million miles an hour to get the system implemented tonight.
Maree - Monkeybutt was saying that he has a specialty store near where he lives that sells them. Maybe there is one in Vancouver.
ReplyDeleteIf not, drop me an email with your address and the Tim Tam fairy may send you some :)
v - any sign of yours?
Elise: I am just doing some "detective work" while I fight off a headache. ;) Trying not to get into trouble.
ReplyDeleteHope your implementation goes well. :)
Elise: No, the Tim Tam fairy has still not visited. :(
ReplyDeletev - make sure you look after yourself - we don't want you getting sick on us.
ReplyDeleteYes. We got caught in the rain. It was raining, it was pouring, the old man was snoring. But it was cool. Sometimes its nice to sit and watch the rain and all the neat lightning.
ReplyDeleteThey finally postponed the game (three hours later) until tomorrow tonight.
If there is a God, Craig, he is an LSU fan. UNC was already up one run in the first inning and the bases were loaded when the rain started :)
v - DoH!
ReplyDeleteHey what are you investigating - maybe I can help (anything to creatively avoid my own work) :)
Elise: I think I'll be fine - just something to do with the weather. :)
ReplyDeletehi, just checking in :)
ReplyDeletev - you're not upset about the rain delays too?
ReplyDeleteDumb Anguish: Did LSU win? ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Morris - did you give v your headache?
ReplyDeleteSummer: A birthday trip. November: did you go to FSU?
ReplyDeleteElise: Oh, I'm really not looking at anything interesting...it's just one of those things where you look at something because you're curious and it leads to other things and so on...
ReplyDelete;)
G'night, Nov - see you in the NYC blog...
ReplyDeleteHey Elise,
ReplyDeleteI'm curious what you do for a living. I'm assuming its some kind of IT work. I heard you mention Accenture in another post. (I think it was you). We just brought in a ton of Accenture people at our company.
v - 'k. I know what that is like - you start out just checking your emails and end up investigating the origin of the pickle in South America :)
ReplyDeleteElise: No, I'm not upset about the rain delays. :)
ReplyDeletehi elise! i was thinking about you today at work, well iw as thinking about timtams really lol, bc i work at a grocery store and i was just thinking...i wish they would sell tim tams here! lol
ReplyDeletesummer i live in the pasadena area....i havent been to sound exchange....where is it? i dont know if you've met christinap but she lives here too! lol
Sorry, V. The rain started at the top of the first inning and it never stopped until they finally cancelled the game.
ReplyDeleteBoth UNC was on a roll already!
Dumb Anguish: Oh oh, I see. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks very much, maree! That's a compliment coming from you, Miss Scribe! :-)
ReplyDeleteI published your comment, btw.
You should write your own Curioser and Curioser essay sometime... it really helped put my love for The Cure and these other artists into sharper perspective.
[What the fuck is this cheesy dancing on David Letterman??]
Elise: i suffer chronic migraines... so i pretty much have a headache all the time, some days are worse than others :) or should that be :(
ReplyDeletesmooth sailing with the implementation!
cat- are you in NYC right now??
ReplyDeleteElise: I am willing to bet they sell Tim Tam's down the street at the specialty store. *curses the lateness of the hour.*
ReplyDeleteCat: You've inspired me, what better outlet for my current Cure NYC exile angst? :^.
I finally put Freakshow onto my iPod... I really think this is a brilliant song, with many luscious layers best discerned through earphones...
ReplyDeleteOkay, enough superfluity about that song from me!
Bye peeps!
brb
ReplyDeleteEnjoy, Cat! :^D
ReplyDeleteSorry guys, had to have a chat with one of my girlfriends. Her nephew was killed in a car accident on Monday. Just awful.
ReplyDeleteDA, I am a business anlyst - so basically the meat in the sandwich between the business and IT - mapping processes, identifying improvements (procedurally or system) and then implementing the changes. Keeps me off the streets :)
Talk soon.
Hi Sara, Bye Sara
I hope I haven't built up the Tim Tam sooo much that you'll be disappointed. Jenny got hers the other day and she really likes them.
man, car accidents are awful :( dont drink and drive you guys!!
ReplyDeleteSara, they are awful. No alcohol involved, just going too fast and no seat belt.
ReplyDeleteBack to work with me.
Take care
bye elise!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow Elise, that's terrible about your friend's nephew.
ReplyDeleteI understand exactly what you do for a living.
But I'm gonna milk those blood-suckers for every last cent I can...
...Not that I'm bitter or anything :)
Morris - oops, meant to respond to your post. Sucks about the migraines - I hope today is one of your good one!
ReplyDeleteI know I said I was going but........
ReplyDeleteDA - it sounds like it works out OK for you in the end. I haven't had much to do with the Accenture team here yet, but have to make a decision over the weekend as to which project I want to work on in the future - either Business Transformation (with Accenture) or Customer Service Strategy (which is primarily processes) - I'm leaning toward the latter :)
Elise,
ReplyDeleteJust make sure you pick the one that you think will make you happier...And don't just automatically pick the one that pays more. (Oh God, I sound like a fortune cookie)
But you go get some work done! :)
That's heartbreaking, Elise . . .
ReplyDeleteI am going to go read my book.
Cheers everyone.
Hey V, Elise, Dumb.
ReplyDeleteLet's clear this up right now, LSU was NOT in any trouble.
ReplyDeleteCraig - Baseball, bah - that's not a real game :).... err, let me change that to, that's not a game that I know anything about at all.
Craig: >:) Now those are some interesting coincidences, aren't they? If only I could claim to have that much power...if I did, I surely would have used it for other, more interesting things by now. ;)
ReplyDeletehello to anyone who is still here
ReplyDeleteok, guess everyone is gone....
ReplyDeletehi april! i just got here
ReplyDeleteWow, november trilogy - Vinyl Fever is still around?? *boggle*
ReplyDelete(I am from Tampa)
it was great talking to you as well november. i will definitely keep in touch!
ReplyDeletesara, i spoke to christinap briefly once, but thats been it. we should do a COF get togethere here one day!
Sound exchange is on richmond near montrose. i haven't been there in at least 12 years, but back in the day it used to be pretty amazing!
Could you guys take the CWS talk elsewhere? I'm still stinging from the humiliation of watching FSU get their asses kicked! ;-)
ReplyDeleteSeriously, glad to see that some college baseball fans are happy!
:-*
ReplyDeleteHi November Trilogy!
ReplyDeleteHey Summer! How's your day so far?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteso far so good. i'm glad its friday! how about yours?
ReplyDeleteThat's very cool news! Let's just hope it stays in the Top 5 or 10 for several weeks & The Only One too!
ReplyDeleteHaven't really heard it playing that much in Philly.
ReplyDeleteI also resurrected my blog and updated it in my profile. I can't believe it's been about 5 months since I last updated it! Are you gonna be around tonight for the live MSG updates?
freak show is new entry no.3 in hmv charts see hmv.co.uk
ReplyDeletewow, i live not too far from the beach, but i rarely go. galveston is just not that nice! and its sooo hot right now.
ReplyDeletei hate job hunting too. the waiting is the worst. good luck! i hope you get something great!
i am going to try to be on tonight, but my computer is in one room and the TV for the Fuse thing is in another! i'm recording it, so i can run back and forth! i just wish i could be there. that'd be much easier.
where is your blog? i'd like to read it!
Summer: It's funny, I rarely go to the beach here either, mostly because of the overcrowding. Clearwater Beach is pretty decent though. I think I got kind of spoiled growing up in San Diego and having lots of desolate beaches to wander up and down.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had Fuse!! Hopefully that broadcast will make its way to the internet is some way, shape or form soon. You can check out my blog here:
http://recordmonkey.wordpress.com
I have to warn you though, it's still in a pretty skeletal state since I've been slacking on it for quite some time. I'll start updating it on a more frequent basis though (at least once a month...) ;)
wow, i love your record collection!
ReplyDeleteAww thanks. Wee!
ReplyDeletei know, its killing me wishing i was there tonight and tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine the insane energy that's gonna be there tonight. And RCMH...Dang...
ReplyDeleteby the way, you have mail!
