"Just called Wolstein Center and they said for the Cure show on 06/18 they're allowing small cameras, no professional gear or Camcorders." (Thanks Annie)
Video cameras, monopods, tripods, audio recording devices andcameras with telephoto or zoom lenses are not permitted insideMadison Square Garden at any time. This policy will be strictlyenforced. You may bring in a disposable or 35mm camera (with nozoom or telephoto lens), however, for some events, cameras of any type and/or flash photography may beprohibited."
RCMH:
"Cameras
For the Christmas Spectacular and other family events, 35mm and digital cameras will be permitted in Radio City Music Hall, however, you must refrain from taking pictures during the performance. Taking photos during events is distracting not only to the performers, but your fellow patrons as well. Video cameras/recorders are strictly prohibited. This policy will be strictly enforced.
For concert events, this policy is at the discretion of the artist. Please call Guest Relations at 212-465-6225, any weekday during normal business hours, for more information."
I wish that I had a pro camera, since this is one time that I'd actually be able to use it, since I was approved for a photo pass.
Oh, and as for the small cameras being allowed, this is almost certainly the band's doing, as it states right on the Wolstein Center's webiste that they don't normally allow them.
TICKETS for CLEVELAND I am going to post this in the tickets section too but I have 2 great seats available for tomorrow in Cleveland Sec 103 row AA which I believe is the first row right by the stage. Looking for face value and I can meet before the show. mintchris@hotmail.com.
April, I had a hard time getting my camera in at Houston. A security supervisor came over and said cameras were ok, but the witch at the door still complained. I just walked on in with my camera.
I'm amazed that for the beginning of the NA tour, it seems that most venues were quite lax with the camera policy. I had no problems getting my camera into the Philly & Chicago Shows. I didn't even hid it like I usually do. Security looked inside my purse & saw the camera but did nothing. Too bad it seems that for the later half of the tour, the no camera policy is on force.
I'm just worried at what I would do if they told me I couldn't bring it in....where the hell would I put it? Its not like i would have time to go back to my hotel.
just called wolstein center (6:38pm eastern) and the lady on the phone did confirm that cameras are ok, she said as long as they dont look professional. lets see if i can get a decent shot. there is a reason they allow them, the pics generally suck unless you are fortunate to have a decent seat. enjoy
Has anyone ever been able to bring a camcorder to a show?
