New Lol interview

    It's an interesting interview, but rather short.

    I really should check out Levinhurst.

    Also, if you continue to scroll down, there is the English translation of the interview. Didn't know if everyone know that.

    I need to hear more Levinhurst, too, Cat! I have heard a song or two and I remember liking it, but I never listened any further... :(

    podgirl, i like that you're obsessed with finding bf. means we will find it at some point, given your persistence. :-)

    also, you do know there is a vid of bf from one of the shows where they played it, right?

    v, i need to check the music of lol and rog out, seriously.

    david, i actually speak spanish but was too lazy to read through the spanish version of the interview. :-P

    Thanks cat - I know there are other recordings of BF out there but I wanna see RCMH cos I was there and kind of missed Rob's crying because of my own. You know how sexy a man in tears is....

    Clockwise: Usually I have an excellent memory for those things, so I'm actually surprised that I don't recall. :) But cool that you're leaving tomorrow! Are you staying with your bf's family while you're there?

    v, for the first week we will be in gay paris for a conference (HIS conference, not mine). for the second week we will be in amiens, where his parents live (and where he grew up), and yes, staying with them. they live in the shadow of the gorgeous cathedral there - europe's finest gothic cathedral, in fact.

    Oh, and yes, I've been to Paris and to Cannes, and have driven through the countryside. Mmmm... :)

    Cat - don't take my word for it. I read it in fantac's review. Like I said, I was a little emotional myself.

    Clockwise: I was stuck at CDG in February for a few hours and I met some very nice and lovely people there (contrary to the stereotype). I had a nice conversation about politics in broken Frenglish with the guy manning the security checkpoint and it totally made my day. :D
    Though that airport still confuses the fuck out of me...

    It would be cool if you could see your own family while you're there, too! :) Neat.

    Anyway, have fun finishing your movie and packing!

    (Hrrm, I hope my last comment doesn't sound like I have any prejudices against French people. Not at all! :) I just get sick of people telling me how rude everyone in France is when that hasn't been my personal experience at all!)

    i just read fantac's review. i like his review because it goes into meticulous detail, and he really scrutinizes the band's every move. and he doesn't hold back the criticism, either. it does sound like robert was incredibly emotional, which both added dimension and detracted from his performance. very very interesting.

    i too am now really curious to see the bf vid, podgirl.

    shawn, i wouldn't have it any other way! i love french cynicism... really, it's just practical realism, but coated in dark nihilism.

    the french have produced some of the world's best art and literature. they rule!
