    that was quite a young fan that waved to porl! security seemed eh "everybody clear.. bleh" but its their job, and they do it well.

    BTW, does anyone know who the child is with Jason. We also saw them during the sound check at MSG.

    thinking it was one of their children, but was unsure if jason had kids...

    the child was darling at MSG...dancing thourgh the soundcheck :)

    this footage is not of the first sound check. that happened hours before. they might of did some other songs when arriving here, but the original soundcheck, they left through a secret door for no one arrived out of the stage door and then they appeared in the vehicle. is that roberts unseen son that also got out of the van, or his nephew?

    The Cure's security suck. I only like Porl's security guard. Porl got out of the car for me so I can say talk to him and take a picture. His body guard was nice, but took a HORRIBLE picture of us! Simon's body guard was mean. "This isn't a meet and greet, this is an after party!" ...Ugh :( We're fans :(

    Andrew - My feeling is that security works in terms of "Industry Standards" in that they act as if any of their client was freaken George Bush... Know what I mean? In that business, I guess there can be no half measures. They can't be lax and then say "oops sorry won't happen again" if a dude threatens the security of one of their clients in any way I guess.

    I find their arrival pattern interesting. They departed the venue in the same manner: Porl first, then Jason. Presumably Robert and Simon left together, but I haven't heard of any sightings.

    Chris - OMG that is so nice that Rev managed to get footage of Robert accepting your flowers and telling you that he'd "save them for later" - WOW!!!

    Security was wierd, they made all the cure fans (except the special fans with passes) wait behind barriers but other pedestrians still walked right past, check out the old guy that almost runs into Porl. These were taken around 5pm,
    I'm pretty sure the earlier "soundcheck" someone heard
    was the crew setting up, I talked to the crew around 2pm and they said soundcheck would be "around 4 o'clock, or whenever they decide to show up"

    When Robert accepted the roses from Chris and smiled, we both screamed - or maybe I just did, and Chris acted more dignified - and then he kind of laughed and looked a little overwhelmed. Then I screamed again. Ah the mortifying pleasures of possessing a superfluous amount of estrogen.

    I am SO happy for Chris that he was so graciously accepting of the flowers and that he said what he did. And that he put them in the center of the stage like that. I have seen him place fan flowers on the floor of the stage, for no one to behold, so apparently Chris is very special. :-)

    I would never have thought of taking flowers for Robert before - but it makes perfect sense to me know. I am still so excited for Chris.....

    elise: hello. :-) i do wonder myself where chris is - maybe catching up on real life?

    real life - what's that? i prefer my fantasy life of stalking the cure 4tour.

    yeah, that was a magical moment, when robert took the flowers and smiled so adorably and then said "i'll save these for later." he said it kind of seductively, doncha think? chris was on cloud 9 trillion at that point.

    a little while after that incident (or maybe a bit before??), i got the text from craig that the cof sign was seen on tv. chris and i LOLed and hugged each other - our efforts (well, hers) paid off! robert saw it, it was caught on video... what more could we ask for?

    chris rules!

    Why does no one give Jason Cooper the respect he deserves, he is a great drummer and a great addition to the band, don't get me wrong, I thought Boris was great as well, but Jason I think is more dynamic as a drummer, he has had the longest tenure as a drummer in the band, but is still considered the new guy. Doesn't make sense to me, anyway to make up for those who didn't call out to Jason, HEY JASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    fist time blogger for me on the new site. Hey Steve, I was right next to you filming too, my husband and I stood with you for hours waiting for the band to show up (sue & pete) thank god you got good shots, I was shaking so bad I only got Simon and Robert standing at the van, while walking I shook like crazy. But I got great video of Robert coming down the stairs for Close to me, I just can't figure out how to get this on U-tube, I'm old, can you tell, and yes that is me screaming Porls name and Roberts on the video. O'm old but I act like a kid.

    Hi guys- i am pretty sure the boy in the video with Robert and Simon is Mary's nephew. Jason has a toddler- don't knwo of any more.
    Wht video did you all catch Robert looking at the COF sign? The one on FUSE? cause I saw the sign on that...
