From All About Jazz:
ISC judge Robert Smith, lead singer of The Cure, talks about his participation in the competition. “Judging the competition, I was astounded at the quality and range of abilities on show - the originality, honesty, and depth of so many of the words, the charm, vivacity, and catchiness of the tunes, and the often staggering energy, skill, and intensity of the performances - the talent left me at times breathless! Judging ISC was a real pleasure." (Thanks Kate)

Does this quote sound like Robert? :)
ReplyDeleteif robert were a press release, yes.
ReplyDeletei didnt get this at all... what is ISC? and why is Robert a judge in it? and when did this happen?
ReplyDeleteon another note... when will the
-exclusive interview- for www.thecure.com by Robert Smith be posted on the site??
Carlos, I don't know much about it, but ISC is some kind of song writing competition. Then again, you probably inferred that much from the quote...
ReplyDeleteIf the quote was written in caps, it would sound an awful lot more like Robert!
Didn't Robert judge this competition in the past? I thought I remember reading about it before.
ReplyDeleteThe quote doesn't quite sound like Robert wrote it but if he did judge the competition in previous years, then he must enjoy it so I wouldn't be shocked if he did write that. If it was in CAPS LOCK then we would know for sure!
Helloo and welcome to jazz club!....Nice!
ReplyDeleteI just got an email about this contest the other day, and the deadline has been extended to some time in December, so I'm not sure how he could have already enjoyed judging it (at least not this year!).
