SOH pre-sale today

Another pre-sale! Night 1 - Night 2. Sold out again.

Pre-sale is live! Modular email. Good luck!
Sold out, but a few tickets keep popping up. Keep trying!

If you missed out on the pre-sales yesterday, there's another one at the SOH website today/tonight. The links from yesterday should work for today (Night 1 - Night 2), so have them open and ready to go when the email arrives later in the day.
Note: The "4 tickets total" rule still applies today, so if you've already purchased 4 (from SOH, not TM), you can not buy more today.

  1. looks like a late one tonight so. Fingers crossed.

  2. Was anyone able to pull tickets for the circle boxes on the sides? I really wouldn't mind being up there - close to the stage of course.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Yes, the Opera House guy I talked to this (actually yesterday) morning said the pre-sale would start at 9am. Good luck to everyone who's going to get the ticket tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Best of luck to all of you, lucky I was yesterday, I wish you all the same for today! Who else is travelling from France by the way?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Chris: Yes, there were boxes available in the SOH priority sale yesterday. Jes had 2 for sale (Box b seat 57 and box v 57), though I don't know if they're still available.

Bill: So glad Olivier woke you up and that you were able to get tickets!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Craig - were you going to make a separate page where people who have bought extra tickets can post and sell to other Cure fans? I am going to try my luck tonight with the public sale but want to make sure I have an alternative if needed.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Absolutely, Chris. As soon as the ticket sales are over, I'll start listing what everyone has to offer.

    ReplyDelete
  8. It is going to be a very long night (in germany). Wait and hope for tickets. I am not going to miss my chance again....

    ReplyDelete
  9. Remember for all of you who are going that you need a visum to get in Australia, its very important, and you passport must atleast be valued for minimum 6 months

    ReplyDelete
  10. Here is the application for the visum

    ReplyDelete
  11. Sooo soon! I hope everyone who's trying to get tickets today gets them, at least we still have tomorrow to try again :)

    ReplyDelete
  12. Christina - I managed to get a circle box c ticket through the "best available" option yesterday. It was an A ticket price $139. Good luck everyone

  13. NO EMAIL YET!!! :(

I wonder if it will be instant once the email is sent out?

    ReplyDelete
  14. That's how it was yesterday. Emailed when it was open.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Do you have to register first? Does it make anything go faster?

    ReplyDelete
  16. wait - i did do that....jeez...the nerves are getting to me! i guess should i log in or just wait til i get the email and go from there?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yes! Makes checking out a lot quicker.

    ReplyDelete
  18. wait is that the same as what i did when i signed up for the email? i dont recall making a password

    ReplyDelete
  19. No, you have to sign up with the website, too. Totally different.

    ReplyDelete
  20. And correct me if Im wrong - and shit it seems i have been a LOT lately...is this STILL the presale? or is this the regular? Im so confused with the dates now!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Pre-sale. Regular sale is tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'm logged onto the vivid page through sydney opera house...hope i'm doing this right

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'd have the two ticket pages open and start hitting refresh.

    ReplyDelete
  24. what's the other ticket page?

    ReplyDelete
  25. The two individual ticket pages for each night. But I think you only need one night, right?

    ReplyDelete
  26. i can't choose a night on the vivid site? it's just the cure homepage with info
it won't let me stay logged in on the cure site

    ReplyDelete
  27. No, the links I posted on the front page...Night 1 and Night 2.

    ReplyDelete
  28. But that will only work if the links are the same as yesterday's.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Yeah, not sure, it says allocation exausted, same as yesterday

    ReplyDelete
  30. Nope. Still waiting. Maybe it will be later in the day?

    ReplyDelete
  31. maybe it will be same time as yesterday

    ReplyDelete
  32. 9am is what the SOH guy told Junko. Vivid has never actually given a time for it.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yeah, looking less and less like 9am. Bad news for the European fans. : (

    ReplyDelete
  34. SOH guy probably just said that so we'd leave them alone! I might just leave it until tomorrow...

    ReplyDelete
  35. That would make sense, April. Wonder why the SOH guy said 9am? Maybe he confused the pre-sale with the general sale?

  37. ohhh lord....my head hurts SO BAD right now! I am fighting this damn headache just to get these tickets! I wanted to go to SLEEP after this was done!!! I have to wait another hour????????

    ReplyDelete
  38. It doesn't matter if there is 3 hours or 5 hours of sleep as long as there will be tickets in the morning :o)
    regards from germany!

    ReplyDelete
  39. ell, we know for a fact that there will be another presale today, just don't know what time

    ReplyDelete
  40. Why do you think that Anna? Is there anyone we could call to find out?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Yeah, nothing to do until we get that email. 2 hours from now makes the most sense.

    ReplyDelete
  42. even the lady on the phone said that there would be a sale today

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'm trying to ring the Opera House number but it's engaged, I'll keep trying

    ReplyDelete
  44. Oh we know there's another pre-sale today. Yesterday was a priority pre-sale for those outside of NSW. This is for everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  45. well..guess it's just a waiting game now

    ReplyDelete
  46. Didn't some of the SOH people say they wouldn't know until Vivid sent the email?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Yeah they told me that yesterday, this is just me being too hopeful for my own good. Well, I'm off, I'll try my luck tomorrow, good luck guys, hope it works out well :)

    ReplyDelete
  48. Thanks, lc988! Good luck to you, too!

    ReplyDelete
  49. on phone with SOH and they dont know the time- it will be random.

    ReplyDelete
  50. They have to be making this difficult on purpose. Ridiculous!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Yesterday's pre-sale email arrived at 8pm my time, 11am Sydney time, that's why April and I are betting it will be the same tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  52. whatever happens, make sure you tweet it craig, then I will get it as an alert on my phone! Then the game is ON! :)

    ReplyDelete
  53. Just got an email from Modular but the links don't work.

    ReplyDelete
  54. maybe they will soon. woulds you share the links?

    ReplyDelete
  55. Posted it on the front page!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Done, lucky I didn't leave for uni...2nd row now :)
thanks so much for that Craig, you are actually my favourite person right now

    ReplyDelete
  57. Aw, thanks lc988. : ) So glad it worked out for you!

    ReplyDelete
  58. So i've now bought 5 tickets, 4 in my name and on my credit card off SOH site, and the other in my name and card off Ticketmaster that should be okay, right?
    And call me Lara :)

    ReplyDelete
  59. Yes, Lara, I think you should be good with that.

    ReplyDelete
  60. WOW that sale went fast!!

April called and I tried to look for a better seat for her and it was SOLD OUT!

She luckily was still able to keep her 2nd ROW TICKET!!!

    GO APRIL!!!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  61. Still have tomorrow, Rachel. And keep trying for a little longer if you can. Something might pop up.

    ReplyDelete
  62. shite I had a ticket but a problem with the credit card cause I put the wrong name on it and I lost out. Cant believe it.

Well done to those who got tickets.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Got stalls D and for second show box V. Thank you for the link Craig. Couldn't be more happy :o))))

    ReplyDelete
  64. Let me clarify my statement of a BETTER seat....haha

2nd row isnt the best seat due to camera’s 6th Row is premium for Viewing the stage. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  65. Did anyone actually get an email from Vivid? Anyone else get the one from Modular?

    ReplyDelete
  66. well, second row will be just fine with me!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Yeah I got the email from them Craig just the mix up with the card fudged me. Dang Im annoyed.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Let me know when they're coming to New England and I'll be interested.

    ReplyDelete
  69. No email, but your link worked :o)

    ReplyDelete
  70. I got the email AFTER the sell was over! :\

    ReplyDelete
  71. anyone who still needs tickets I would suggest refreshing as a few more seem to be coming available.

    ReplyDelete
  72. So I guess there was only a Modular email, not one from Vivid. They did tweet that their pre-sale was on, just after the Modular email went out.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Glad you got your tickets, Shellheart!

    ReplyDelete
  74. April, Maggie got second row too! Sounds like this pre-sale was hot seats.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I will have 2 or maybe 3 extra Circle tickets for the 1st.

Just wanted to let you know they are there!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Let me know when you get that sorted, Kel. I have a European friend who might need them.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I checked the seating chart. Does stalls D mean front row? Can't believe it!

    ReplyDelete
  78. thanks lc988. My NZ friend managed to get stall tickets in this presale for both nights. If I hear from any others who need tickets i'll post in the tickets blog Craig will be putting up soon. :) So happy people got their seats!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Shellheart: Yes, D is 1st row, but you might have the cameras blocking you at times.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Thanks, we hope that the cameras won't be a huge problem.

    ReplyDelete
  81. maybe maggie is next to me?!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Good night and good luck to those who still try to get tickets.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Goodnight! Glad it worked out so well for you!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Craig:

I know I’ll have TWO for sure to sell they are Circle ROW K they can Paypal me and then meet up with me in OZ!

    ReplyDelete
  85. Craig -- I have 2 extra seats in Q stalls for the 2nd show -- please let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  86. Didn't get an email from Vivid, got the modular email after I bought tickets
I have ONE TICKET AVAILABLE for the first night - row J in the circle seat 8 - $140 :)

    ReplyDelete
  87. Didn't get an email from Vivid, got the modular email after I bought tickets
I have ONE TICKET AVAILABLE for the first night - row J in the circle seat 8 - $140 :)

    ReplyDelete
  88. Haha, now we're going to get a whole list of people with extra tickets...
I've got one for the first night, Circle, row F.
Just out of curiousity, how are we going to organise buyers and sellers? Is there going to be a separate page with a list of people who want tickets? Or is it going to be by people who have extras?

    ReplyDelete
  89. Going to have a page with a list of people who have tickets for sale. Will probably get that started later tonight or tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Hi everyone, we were lucky enough to get 4 tickets in row D and we will probably have 2 more to sell in the same row! The pre-sale wasn't over afterall, it is 3h30 A.M. here in PAris and we got them like 20 minutes ago!!! Keep trying, you never know!

    ReplyDelete
  91. Wow! Did you just keep refreshing or what? How WONDERFUL!

    ReplyDelete
  92. Yeah if you hit refresh randomly something eventually pops up - but all I keep pulling are circle seats. So - meh.

    ReplyDelete
  93. keep trying, the sale is not over!!! A friend of mine managed to get tickets in circle row C. Seems like the best seats are available right now!

    ReplyDelete
  94. I have had the WORST time tonight. Right in the midst of all this - my sick kitty passed away - hence the reason I was away during the prime moments. I have also had a HORRIBLE headache since mid afternoon today - all this stress with the tickets, and my poor Squeaky didn't help either. Ugh. What a night.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Christina I'm sorry to hear about your cat :( did you manage to get tickets at least?
Mod posted on Facebook it's sold out

    ReplyDelete
  96. Just to let you know, do not give up. There are random tickets being made available. I tried it several hours after the sale and found seat!!!

    ReplyDelete
  97. aww :( christina i'm so sorry

    ReplyDelete
  98. hopefully we, in Europe, never switch to the US/Australian system of circle boxes and golden circles and assigned seats. Yuk. I've seen The Cure numerous times from the first row, simply because I was at the entrance from 10am, doors at 8pm. Now THAT is fair. Then the most dedicated fans indeed get the best places.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Gothic, yeah it's fair - until some jerkoff and their friends decide to butt in front of you, just to be rude. I have been shocked to have that happen at more than one Cure show, and it always surprises me that anyone who genuinely loves the band could be that evil. Sad but true.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Chris! I am so sorry about your cat! : ( Big cat lover here, who has gone through that too many times. My heart goes out to you. : (

    ReplyDelete
  101. I agree Gothic. But there IS something to be said for having a nice seat and NOT having to wait all damn day for a good spot. That is just stressful and exhausting! But yeah - MOST who are die hards can get up front that way. But man - here it mostly starts earlier than 10am! Here - its usually the night before! And THAT makes for a long ass day! Then you get so tired u cant fully enjoy the show. And THEN people being their damn friends and let them cut right the hell in front! Not much you can do about that - unless you want a fight on your hands! Lol!

    ReplyDelete
  102. Gothic: Nope, not fair at all. Some people have to work, go to school, take care of their family, have other responsibilities, have health issues, and can't wait outside of a venue all day. And none of that makes them any less "dedicated".

Maybe it's better to have both types of shows, no? Some reserved, some general admission?

    ReplyDelete
  103. just received an email from SOH re pre-sale. Good luck again...
    Dave

    ReplyDelete
  104. Aw thanks everyone for the kind words about my kitty. It was his time. He had been sick with kidney probs for a long time now. He was getting so anemic he was having fainting spells - and then the last 2 days he hadn't eaten...and he just kinda wasted away. :( But thanks everyone - it means a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  105. New presale just started! Go!

    ReplyDelete
  106. No, same links. Seem to be gone again. This was an SOH Inhouse email. Thanks Dave!

    ReplyDelete
  107. yeah i got nothing. its been random all this evening. but the best thats popped up has been circle Q or something.

    ReplyDelete
  108. I think that's why tickets started popping up again. There was a new pre-sale going on, but we didn't realize it.

    ReplyDelete
  109. lol i guess this is all im doing tomorrow - just sitting and hitting refresh all damn day! lol!

    ReplyDelete
  110. No worries - just had a look at the link - persist with it because it looked as though tickets were exhausted but then something came up. No more for me I am content with my ticket for night 1

    ReplyDelete
  111. This wasn't random. It was a new email with a new pre-sale.

    ReplyDelete
  112. so funny how EVERYTIME i type "lol" I REALLY think of Tolhurst now! I mean I always did for the longest time - but then years passed - and it kinda faded. Now that Lol will be on stage for these shows - its all I see again!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  113. ive had it up to HERE with presales!!!!!!! ACK!

    ReplyDelete
  114. I just picked up a single ticket for the Tuesday... Circle V. This is almost an hour after the SOH eNews presale email (1:04 pm Sydney time).

Almost seems like they're releasing a few more seats every so often, so as others have mentioned it pays to keep refreshing until it gives you the chance to choose seats, then I could only get through by buying a single seat when I needed two!

Fingers crossed for tomorrow, though you'd wonder how there could be any tickets left after all these presales!

    ReplyDelete
  115. looks like by the actual general sale tomorrow there will be 1 ticket left lol

And for the person complaining about it being a seated event. I welcome it, no stress about being pushed around ect.
And this is the Sydney Opera House, one of the most iconic and beautiful modern theartres in the world! Step out of your comfort zone and enjoy the change :)

    ReplyDelete
  116. To all who posted your tickets for sale here, please repost in the new tickets for sale post and give the details. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  117. hopefully we, in Europe, never switch to the US/Australian system of circle boxes and golden circles and assigned seats.

ha ha. I'm not a scholar of the form or anything, but I'm pretty sure that opera is a European invention, not an Australian one. And I'd be very surprised if Viennese opera houses don't charge more for boxes and less for the gods.

The Sydney Opera House is one of hundreds and hundreds of live music venues in Sydney, and one of thousands in the country. And even at this year's Vivid alone, there are more shows in the Studio, which is a black box theatre, than in the Concert Hall or the Opera Theatre.

    ReplyDelete
  118. it's the same system here at the viennese oper - where i'm working - the better the seats the more expensive they are. normally you can apply for a ticket reservartion via email in advance and get an info if you got those tickets or if they are already sold out. so guest from outside aleways had the same chances as residents. the opera then always presales the tickets a month before the date of performance. and you can pick them up directly. what can happen is that when the sale starts that there are only a few tickets left because the reservations in advance via email where too much. but this mostly happens when stars like anna netrebko or elina garanca are singing;-) but i'm sure this will also be the same case if the cure would play! whe often here had perfomances by artists like elvis costello or patty smith but they were not ornaginzed by us but by by the viennese jazz festival and they only booked the opera on those occaions. so i'm sure that the presale would be differently organized for those evenings.

    ReplyDelete
  119. personally, I am thrilled that it is seated - no pressure for line-up before the show.

For the record, I spoke to someone at the Opera House about what the situation for standing throughout the show would be and was advised that it would likely depend on the majority of the audience.

In other words, if we all stand up - they will not make us sit.

And I really cannot imagine that the band would want us sitting if the show i being recorded for posterity.

I'm starting to believe that this is real.

    ReplyDelete
  120. if the show *is* being recorded....

    ReplyDelete
  121. @Gothic. we do that in europe as well. the cure @ rah comes first to mind.

    ReplyDelete
  122. i do hope that i can snatch (or buy) the poster from somewhere. i think it's gorgeus.

    ReplyDelete
