what if someone's flying from far away and has already left and their tickets pass them going the opposite direction, while they're flying in for the show?
Craig - I must say a big THANK YOU for keeping everyone informed on this. You put NME / AEG / TMU / thecure.com to shame in the way that you have kept everyone in touch. COF is really a very helpful bunch and I hope to meet some of you on Thursday night. Are you coming Craig? He deserves complimentary tix for all his hard work!
Wow, I never expected this would happen. Did Robert threat NME he wouldn't perform unless they sent the original tickets to the ticket holders?
Yeah, I wonder the same thing what MonkeyButt said. What about those who live in other countries far away from UK? Registerd mail takes more than a week to be delivered, u know.
It was posted on Cure.com on the forum, someone received e-mail and posted it on there early evening. But things get buried underneath all the threads. Good it's all sorted hopefully now everyune can have a good weekend x.
CUREOUS FACT: i was watching tv, Warner Channel to be specific and they will be showing a new series called "Fringe" and they were showing a commercial promoting the new series and i think that the soundtrack will be a cover version of A FOREST, cause they were playing it for the commercial, it sounded interesting, sung by a girl
I emailed AEG to ask if I needed to send back the "unique code" standing ticket (that came this morning) to get a refund. This is the reply...
"If you receive these tickets do not use them as the barcode has been cancelled. You will receive the correct tickets with a letter in with the tickets, these are going out registered post today"
Do they scan tiks at this venue?? They must have something in place knowing that they've sent out a whole stack of additional tickets for a sold out standing space.... either that or it's gonna get pretty crowded in there. ;)
Anyhow, I would be cautious before passing (selling) them on to friends......
Wow, that is great news! :^D
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Now those peeps can relax a bit.

ReplyDeleteI wonder if they'll still refund "special code" tickets that are, according to Ticketmaster, on their way..
ReplyDeletehmmmm.
great!! Thanx Rob!!!
ReplyDeletehope good show next week!~!
Well done Robert. This clearly means that AEG/NME are taking the hit on this as TS didn't pay up. So this is a major achievement.
ReplyDeleteJR has just started, he has said that the Cure are one of his all time faves and commented on Simon's "rockabilly look!"

ReplyDeleteRobert has posted it on the official site and is clearly feely relieved! Comment above still stands though!

Love TOO or hate it - The performance of JR Show was energetic but with a slowed down vocal. A great taste of what's to come next week.
ReplyDeleteSits back and waits for the "TOO is sh!t" comments to follow.
junko - hopefully some peeps used a UK friend's addy.
ReplyDeleteim hoping the cure would pull out something old and rare for the show!

I am still crossing my fingers for everyone. If I were in this mess, I wouldn't believe anything until I had tickets in hand!

Will be relieved when my tickets actually arrive.. Tuesday? Hope Robert & Co put on a good set for the real fans as opposed to the radiocures...
ReplyDeleteTOO is a freakin' fabulous song! And the JR performance was great! WTFables with the furry pom poms though? I like 'em!
ReplyDeleteCC - I thought the poms poms were a little odd. A must for all at the o2????
ReplyDeleteI also had all the problems with tickets but the 4 I originally ordered have arrived this morning by non registered mail
