  6. Um, are ya'll nostalgic for Journey or WHUT?

    I like Journey, actually.

Craig, you could do a site for Journey called "Who's Cryin' Now" :-)

Damn I hope some of my Curey peeps can get me tix for Kroq. They know who they are.

  7. I'm going to this show, OK? don't even try to mess with my head... Because... I'm... GOING. I'm independantly wealthy and I'm scalping a $3,000 dollar front row ticket. Plus I plan on throwing my hotel room keys at Porl.. You know like middle-aged women do at Tom Jones concerts? It's just my "thing" at Cure shows..... LOL!!

    I'll give live reportsss.

  9. I don't know if you can throw hotel keys these days Paul. Most hotel keys now are those plastic credit card things. :P

  10. oh, right. The younger generation... they don't remember metal hotel room keys and 1978 and shit

  11. Nostalgia is not what it used to be. *sigh*

  12. And old age is nothing to worry about.....except if you're a cheese.

  13. oh I forget to make one mention. I've been to a lot of Cure concerts I would like to encourage them to bring back the stage fog. I'm sure that at some point they thought "this fog is pretty corny." But that moment is now post-corny.
Fog....... vote in a new poll,

    ReplyDelete
  14. I agree, fog looks cool. It helps make the lights look a lot better too because the color fills the stage a lot more.

  15. Lawlz, Swifty-licous. You should do stand-up for a living. :-)

  16. Cat, If personality were sunlight, you'd shine from a million light-years away.

  17. okay Paul I have an idea:
bring a hole puncher and punch a hole through your hotel key/card and get a parachute man, cut the strings off of him and tie them to the hotel key/card and then you're all set! just throw it on stage! :D

  18. Swifty, I swear, that is the sweetest thing ANYONE has ever said to me.

  19. What time is everone lining up for the shows???? I have tiks to all three tv appearances and I hear people are going to like sleep in line. What the heck! I know we have to get there early but how early?

    ReplyDelete
  20. yeah I too would like to know when to line up, as I would hate to stand in line all day long that would be boring.

    Sara,
Thanks for the hotel room/ parachute idea. SO creative!

  21. ROSES ARE RED! VIOLETS ARE BLUE!
B4 WHAT I SAID IS OBVIOUSLY TRUE

  22. I was thinking like no more than an hour before it says on the tickets. Because what's on the tickets is already like an hour before they let you in. What is everyone else doing.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Swifty, I am pretty sure that you are an astute employer of hyperbole, but I thank you all the same. Your profile is hilarious, btw, and you have superb taste in flicks.

MissCure, I am only going to the Carson Daly show, but we plan to start lining up early. We made look like fools, but then that's how we got up front for Austin. Granted, we almost got our ribs crushed too, but hey! It was all worth it in the end, RIGHT CHRIS?

  24. Cat,
My previous comments regarding your bright personality were entirely genuine. I'm sure other people hold a similar view.

    PaulK,
Once the toothpaste is out of the tube, it's hard to get back in.

  25. Is there even going to be a presale or is it just going to be one general sale and that is it???

    ReplyDelete
  26. Swifty-san-dorklicious: You, sir, are da bomb, but I wouldn't be so quick to utter the last part! But enough!

MissCure, general sale is Monday, if I understand correckedly.

  27. Tickets on sale Thrusday @ 5pm for night 1 and 6pm for night 2.

    ReplyDelete
  28. THURSDAY AT 6PM??

    whats wrong with these people!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Oh and you must be a Street Team member to get passcode to get ticket.

    ReplyDelete
  30. That means you won't know if your going until 3 days before the event. Wow the suspense is killing me. It also narrows down any scalping oppotunities

    ReplyDelete
  31. Paul K: It also narrows down any scalping oppotunities.

    That's the idea.

    ReplyDelete
  32. cat - i am working on it.

    dont cry yet boo!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. hey when you guys signed up for the street team, did they give a password for ticketmaster yet?

my niece said she signed up but only has a password for the site - not for buying the tickets. will they email it to her soon?

    ReplyDelete
  34. From what I know they will send you an email with the code to input on ticketmaster. That email will probably get sent the night before or the day of.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Well so much for sleeping good this week!

My body is getting too old for all this stress! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  36. Night 1 tickets go on sale Thursday at 5 p.m.

Night 2 tickets go on sale Thursday at 6 p.m.

Make sure you are signed up with the KROQ Street team to be sent an email with the code that needs to be inputed on ticketmaster when buying the tickets.

Need to be a resident to purchase!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. So, I wonder what they would do if you only used a ticketmaster giftcard or a pre paid credit card gift card thing to buy they tickets....anyone know?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Christina yeah I think they are going to email people the passcode to buy the tickets. They might wait till the last minute or something. Because they are playing hard to get.

    ReplyDelete
  39. oh guys, if anyone is interested theres a craigslist rumor that foo fighters, smashing pumpkins, and brandon boyd from incubus are "mystery guests"

  40. Hmm. Well, I mentioned to Billy Corgan at the San Diego show "I was hoping you were going to jam with Robert Smith at the KROQ thing." He said "What KROQ thing?" and I mentioned xmas show and he said "We weren't invited" and then joked to Jimmy about not being invited back.
I wouldn't be surprised about the others as they play them to death

    ReplyDelete
  41. If Billy jams with Robert, I'll take complete credit ;o)

    ReplyDelete
  42. KROQ usually ems the code the night before, but with this, I wouldn't be surprised if it was that morning or hour before.
