"This is a Youtube link to a video of the Ecuadorian Tribute band “Catch” playing UTS last Saturday in Guayaquil, Ecuador. It’s not perfect (it was the first time they played it live) but I think it is inspiring to see the truly worldwide influence of The Cure’s music (even unreleased music!)." (Thanks Flavio)
And here's The Baby Screams covering UTS on Sept. 13th. (Thanks Vincure)
Wow, I didn't realize that covers would pop up so quickly...
ReplyDeleteNot bad but I'd rather see the real thing!
ReplyDeleteThe music sounded ok, not too bad. The guys voice was HORRIBLE! I agree with cure_kitty I would rather see the real thing! Robert has the most unique distinctive voice, no one will ever be able to remotely come close to reproduce his beautiful voice. That's one of the reasons I love him so much!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, when I hear "Cure" and "Cover" in the same sentence my eyes glaze over. No interest. I especially don't want to hear a cover when it's a song I haven't even heard on the album yet.
ReplyDeleteit's fitting that some lady gets up and leaves at the very beginning of the video...
ReplyDeleteYep! I feel the same way...specially when the cover band`s first language is not english =x (not racist here,I myself come from a non-english speaking country/family)you know on top of the voice difference you have to listen to the accent also, Yikes!
