Phil Thornalley remembers his Cure days

It's old, and you might have seen it already, but Phil has a brief remembrance of his Cure days on his website. (Thanks Adam)

  1. thats cool. i see they have the POY website watermark, just goes to show how popular it is.

sad how the man who produced Pornagraphy and was grammy nominated for his work with the Thompson Twins had to work with Nick Carter. but we all have our ups and downs.

i hope he's doing well, it looks like it!

  3. In addition to the fact that Vince had already had enough after two weeks (does that indicates anything about the spirit in the band at that time?), did you notice the comment about Boris not saying thanks?

  7. mehrlicht: It's a reference to Spinal Tap. From Tap's Wikipedia entry:

Spinal Tap has had a succession of drummers, all of whom have appeared to have died under odd circumstances: one in a "bizarre gardening accident"; another "choked on vomit," (although it was never determined whose vomit it was, as "you can't really dust for vomit"), and a third from apparent spontaneous human combustion onstage, leaving only a small green "globule" on his drum throne.
