MTV Live on Palladia

Here's the setlist: Underneath The Stars, The Only One, The Reasons Why, Freakshow, The Hungry Ghost, Switch, The Perfect Boy, Sleep When I'm Dead, The Scream, It's Over.
So they cut out Sirensong, Real Snow White, and THANWY.

And there was some very odd censoring going on: "I couldn't take all the censorship. Yes, backmasking an F-bomb I can understand. But "slide me in"??!?! "Suicide"??!?!"

(Thanks Brad, Drew, and S)

  1. Yes, I am curious, too. We have that channel available in our lineup, but are not subscribed to it.

  2. I taped it but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I just checked the credits, and I don't think that's a Cure song. I could be wrong, but it sounds like something MTV would play during the credits of any band.

  3. Setlist:
    Underneath The Stars
    The Only One
    The Reasons Why
    Freakshow
    The Hungry Ghost
    Switch
    The Perfect Boy
    Sleep When I'm Dead
    The Scream
    It's Over

There is a short instrumental during the credits which I didn't recognize, but I agree that it doesn't sound much like The Cure.

I captured the HD stream, but it's currently processing to ultimately be made into a DVD.

Craig, if no one else posts a link to the instrumental, I can get to it tonight and you can judge for yourself whether you think it's The Cure

  4. WAS A VERY NICE VOCAL MIX, MUCH BETTER THAN THE DRY ONE WE HEARD BEFORE...CENSORSHIP PRACTICED SEVERAL TIMES IN ODD PLACES..AS THE CREDITS ROLLED THEY SHOWED FOOTAGE OF PORL OBVIOUSLY PLAYING SIERENSONG...SADLY OMMITED FROM THE SETLIST.

Hahaha, that is quite amusing. :) I guess Craig is not the only one (ha ha :P) who finds that song offensive (granted, for different reasons). ;)

  7. Oh why do they have to do that. It just kills the songs when parts are blipped out. I thought cable TV stations didn't do that?????

And not showing Sirensong??? That's just way to good to skip. Dumb!!!
