  1. I'm pissed off! I'm not allowed to buy anything from iTune Store US from Japan, and there's no bonus track and booklet availabel in iTune Store Japan. I really hate iTunes!:-(

  2. listened to the EP for the first time this morning - I enjoyed it bar the Freakshow AFI remix which was dismal - with that song all you needed to do was push the bass and bass drum into the red and we'd all have been happy

I really liked the way the SWID 65DOS remix started and was disappointed when they bought the vocals in, it would have worked beautifully without

don't know how often I'll listen to it - but it's done the stop-gap job nicely

  3. Damnit! you all will have to tell me if the 65dos remix of TOO is good enough for me to actually pay ANOTHER $3.99 to get it.

I got my disc yesterday and paid $8.99 with no extras. Itunes exclusive.....I don't even have Itunes downloaded to my computer. I'm old fashioned in the way I need to have something in my hands to hold.

Sorry for bitching, Craig.......really I came on here to ask if I should download it just for the 65dos remix. What does everyone think of it?

  4. 65 DOS mix is the 2nd best track on the disc in my opinion. According to the poll though, most seem to like it the best.

  7. i'd say this
is actually a pretty spot on review...

  8. Digital boolet? Hmmm.

One thing the interweb will never replace for me are books. In all forms.

  9. anah- totally. a book is something with pages that must be turned. my friend is super duper excited about some app on his iphone wherein he can download entire books and read them on his iphone on planes. to which i expressed dismay and then ridicule.

  11. books rool. screw digital tomes. they are the bane of NOW.

so i guess we still have to pay extra to get that extra 65 DOS thingy, eh? i'm picking up the EP today, btw. in case anyone cares.

  12. Thanks Zephyr, but I already got the link, lol. I'm just waiting for the physical thing to come through the mail.
I've been holding off actual full listen.
... also I just wanted to complain a little because it's something to do!

  13. wow- this EP sucks. I'm not going to say sorry for saying so either. I don't mean to be so blunt but have to be honest. I love, love, love the CURE but really...this is terrible.

  14. Anyone? Anyone at all heard TOO remix by 65dos....the free track you get when you download from iTunes? Hmmmm, huh? Someone here has it, I know you do. How is it?

  15. got it and am listening to the ep now: i love the retro mix of swid, but am not too thrilled so far with fs or too. but the mix of swid is better than the original, imo. i cant wait to blast the 65 dos remix.

  16. So iTunes US has the EP for $3.99 US plus extra track, no?

I just checked iTunes Canada and it's newly listed at $9.99 Canadian which is $9.34 US.

    What the fuck?

Has it been fixed on the UK iTunes yet?

  17. the 65 DOS remix of all except fs is great, and merits the cost of the CD.

  18. Yeah. I'm afraid I don't much like this EP either. I knows its for charity and all that. But I'm glad I didn't put any money down for this thing.

    ReplyDelete
  19. let's not delude ourselves: it's not FOR charity... it's FOR the emo kids. the charity thing was added on so as to deflect criticism about profit-mongering. i am not denigrating the charitable cause, but the genesis of the cd was to lure in the toddlers.

  20. Hmmm. To me, TPB sounds more like a re-interpretation than a remix. The drum and bass lines reminds me of "Close to Me." Does anyone else think that the guitar strumming at the end of TOO is reminiscent of the guitar in "Jack and Diane?" The EP definitely isn't "great," but overall, I would call it "nice." I do really enjoy the "Exploding Head Syndrome." Godo job 65DOS!

  21. I think iTunes Japan is the most expensive place to buy this EP. It's sold for 1,500 yen which is equivalent to US$14.25- without the bonus track and digital booklet, and each song for US$1.42-!!! I'm afraid they are not willing to change the prices.
I wonder how much profit they get from it.:-(

  22. No change in Australia. The EP is STILL the price of an album on iTunes. MORONS!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I totally agree with Cat's last staement about the EMO Toddlers...
ARGHHHH...I hate the word "EMO" even more than the Cure beign called "goth". Now the satanists in Russia who killed and ate 4 people are called 'GOTHS" as well..so I can see the direct line there from the CURe and all....
whatever! Rant over, thank you! :)

  24. i can't help it....i LOVE TPB REMIX!!

just had to let that out...it's so much fun to blast in the car.

    i feel so ~punk rawk. ; )

    butt..@ jarbee:
the drums & bass are also VERY remeniscent of Fall Out Boy's song 'Dance Dance'. (i know, i know, i should shoot myself in the foot for knowing that)

youube it. it sounds really similar.

  25. the exclusive "the only one" remix is quite good

  26. "No change in Australia. The EP is STILL the price of an album on iTunes. MORONS!"

Well, they "fixed" it in the UK. They deleted Exploding Head Syndrome and now you can only buy the remaining four tracks individually.

    [Insert eye roll emoticon here.]

  27. Maybe the things are gonna change here in Italy. Now the EP is indicated like Partial Album, The 65dos long remix is disapperead, just the 4 single remix for 0.99

    ReplyDelete
  28. Yeah, same thing is happening here in Japan, too. Now it says "partial album".

    ReplyDelete
  29. ps 65 too remix is pretty lethargically cool but the fs mix eludes me.

    ReplyDelete
  30. It is now a partial album in the Oz iTunes, but no longer has the 65DOS remix

Thank you Robert, The mighty U should be give you an extra for your work...

  34. Did anyone get the I-tunes download?

Is the Bonus 65DOS Remix of TTO any different then the one from the the mega mix?
