  1. All these amazing chart performances and I never see them at HMV. Thank God for amazon.ca, though it has been a bit slow.

  3. amazon.ca imported my copy from the States. That's why it took so long. And I'm still stuck with the FBI logo. Shite.

  4. Huh? #1 in Canada???

Geee... That must be because the video runs on MuchMusic and radio stations play TPB all the time!

Seriously, I'm :oO at this because the only single of the 4 I heard on the radio was The Only One and it was playing in the background while a lady was saying this was a new Cure song! She never let it play, not even once! lol Now that was pathetic...

Well... This ain't the first surprising thing I have read on COF lately, but I'm sure it won't be the last!

  5. I know what you mean, fantac. Radio and TV are such a joke for good music in Canada. At least there are cool alternative radio stations in the US. Much Music used to air specials on The Cure. Now everything's about some super commercial Canadian band corporations brain wash us into thinking is cool like "Our Lady Peace" or Sum 41 or Avril Lavigne. It's run by corporate scumbags who have no taste and the VJs are dumber than ever!

The only decent MuchMoreMusic VJ was either made to leave or left. It's all "list" shows and reality TV. So depressing.

  6. Maybe all these singles doing so well in Canada will get Robert to give Canadian dates just as interesting a setlist, too! Save the adventurous stuff 'til the end, Robert! If people don't like it, they can leave early!

  7. Weirrd,

I guess Alanis, Avril and Shania are all on holidays

Although I have to say I was ecstatic to hear Sleep When I'm dead played (ok, only once), on our Ottawa " alternative" station, here in Ottawa

Hands in the sky, canadian fans!

  8. It's annoying being a UK fan and not seeing any of these singles hit the top 40 let alone number 1.

  9. Weirdly enough, when I visited central Europe in 2003, I heard more Shania Twain than at any other time or place in my life. I might have heard a ton of Avril Lavigne, too. I don't understand their popularity, especially Shania; her lyrics are cheesy and her melodies aren't catchy or interesting. It was all the midriff... but what a midriff! I love country pop bimbos: Shania, Faith Hill. (Ah, lonely summer nights...)
