Pure speculation on my part, but looks like that Seattle show could be at Sasquatch Festival, as the schedule is open between May 26th - 31st, and Sasquatch runs May 27th - 30th.

"... and as yet unreleased tracks in a brand new stage production"
ReplyDeleteNICE
Okay how thrilled should we be by reading this line I now question myself: "yet unreleased tracks in a brand new stage production that promises to be the 'must see' show of the year!"
ReplyDeleteI saw this st 7am and almost fainted. Toronto or bust 2016!
ReplyDeleteStarlight Theater is my favorite venue...it only holds 8,000 people if that
ReplyDeleteSo excited!! They're coming to Atlanta!! Can't wait !!

ReplyDeleteYay, an excuse to go back to Montreal and its cat café!!! <3 <3 <3
ReplyDeleteCall me a conspiracy theorist but I reckon they're gonna do a bowie on it and drop an album unannounced
ReplyDeleteThey will be testing new songs...
ReplyDeletePerhaps an album will happen after the tour ... or before, it's not like I would mind!
Great news.
"unreleased tracks" of "new songs"??
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how everyone else feels but I hope it's not 4:13 scream. It's been so long since it was rumored I would prefer a cd that matches robert/bands current frame of mind and not something from 8 years ago. With that said any new music is reason for a full blown party.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteWell, we still want 4:13 Scream sometime... and other unreleased tracks.
DeleteAaaaaaand again Detroit left off the tour. Freaking gutted, not even a Cleveland show to drive to.
ReplyDeleteYup.. glad I got tickets to both Chicago nights now. Really disappointed they're not coming to MI though.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteYeah I am surprised that they are skipping both cities. That Cleveland drive last tour was much easier from Detroit than having to drive to Chicago. Guess I'll hit Toronto this time.
DeleteThat picture above looks like a digestive system... troubling.
ReplyDeleteAgreed!! Ha!
DeleteI thought to myself that it looks quite a bit like a large intestine. Perhaps Robert plans to eat his way through North America? lol
DeleteI hope not, he's got to keep his fat in check, he ain't a young'un anymore.
Deletewhich part of the intestine are you attending ?? hahaha
DeleteI guess I'll be stuck in the Montreal part, just about to drop out...
Deleteno nashville but we will be at atlanta!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDenver on sale this Saturday!!! Anyone have any insight to presale codes?? Anyone here planning on going to the Denver show?
ReplyDeleteYep, I'm going to Denver. Will post all presale codes as soon as they are released. No worries.
Deleteare you going to Atlanta?
DeleteI'm planning on Denver. What is Fiddler's Green like?
DeleteI've only lived here 8years and never been to Fiddlers :-/ I don't have any info to share, unfortunately. I've heard rumors that parking sucks... But that's all I know.
DeleteDon't worry about parking there. Fiddler's is right on the E & F light rail line. Park at one of the Park & Ride locations and take the train. I know the Southmoor station is no more than 5-10 minutes away.
DeleteThank you!!
DeleteCongrats on the NOLA tour opener Craig!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Charlie! Very happy about that. :)
DeleteI'm a little bummed, I thought Hollwyood Bowl would be the opening night. Thought I'd get to go first for once!
DeleteWhen I saw New Orleans was listed I let out an audible gasp. And I was giving a quiz at the time.
Delete@Craig are you going to Atlanta?
ReplyDeleteNot in the plans at the moment, but an Atlanta/Miami tour closer trip is being thought about. :)
DeleteI'm seriously thinking of taking a week of vacation and going to 6 shows...is that crazy?
ReplyDelete@craig you should go. i want to go to new orleans too, just work schedules are in the mix too. i know we can at least pull off atlanta, missouri, or new orleans. let me know!!
ReplyDeleteHOW MUCH ARE TICKETS SUPPOSED TO BE?i want to have enough for the 13th(three days people!)
ReplyDeleteI've been finding the prices on most of the sale pages. Fortunately most are less expensive than say, Hollywood Bowl :-)
DeleteReally happy to see all these dates! But was hoping to have until January to budget for it :-( Getting ready for a couple of nail biting days...
ReplyDeleteYeah, I was hoping for that as well. It's not that I won't be able to afford one or two more dates. It's just that this is rather taxing on my finances due to being on sale so close together.

ReplyDeleteWhere do we find the passwords for presale?
ReplyDeleteI post them on the front page as soon as I know them.
DeleteAnd I'm totally bummed they are doing El Paso OVER Phoenix????! :,(
ReplyDeleteEl Paso over Phoenix, that is ridiculous. I drove to El Paso from Phoenix in 2013, but Phoenix is 10x the city El Paso is. Makes no sense to skip Phoenix once again!
DeleteI went to the 2013 El Paso show too. I was pleased with the venue and had no trouble getting right up front on the floor...GREAT SHOW!!
DeleteI had to drive about 6hrs from the east. El Paso is a strategic location considering Phoenix, Tucson, Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Juarez, West Texas, etc
Phoenix to LA or San Diego is 6hrs too. Where I am now, I have to travel about 5-6hrs to NYC...or the same to Montreal. Toronto is shorter but too unpredictable for me as of now. I wish they were going to Cleveland or Pittsburgh...oh well.
Phoenix - chatted with a promoter today, because it surprised me as well. The price was too high, offer was made first to Phoenix before El Paso. That's the skinny of it, but at least there is Vegas which is only a 4.5 drive lol
DeleteThat makes me feel a bit better, I guess.... but come on boys you are making a pretty dime on all the shows. I know I've already spent OVER $2000 in tickets and I'm not done buying yet. :/ I hope maybe they change their minds and do a Phx stop on the 18th!
DeleteNo Philadelphia?
ReplyDeleteKansas City is good news for my last girlfriend, as she lives only a couple of hours away from there. I just gave her a heads-up. However, I'm very surprised that they're skipping both Minneapolis AND Detroit. I guess that Chicago #2 will be my only Midwest show.
ReplyDeleteCOME ON BONAROO TOO
ReplyDeletei'm busting reeves out since he told me he read chain of flowers. YOU REMEMBER ME AND CHLOE???our weddings may 7th.honeymoon after. DO BONAROO> we will already be in atlanta!sorry to bust your bubble reeves!LOL!
ReplyDelete@craig any memphis in may speculation too???it's not announced until marchish..
ReplyDeleteHaven't heard anything.
Delete@craig memphis in may is usually the first week in may. by the way.
ReplyDeleteBonnaroo looks incredibly unlikely - it would mean either a 4-day run of shows in a row if they played on the 9th, or a 5-day run of shows if they played on the 12th (including a very long trip to Toronto overnight). When is the last time they've done more than 3 shows in a row?
ReplyDeleteI have 2 extra tickets for first night at Hollywood Bowl, I'll be willing to trade for 2 seats at San Jose (comparable seats)
ReplyDeleteI have this available:
DeleteSection SEC P2, Row 8, Seat 118
Section SEC P2, Row 8, Seat 117
Might want to move this to the tickets for sale post.
Delete@craig I'm not a smart man...I'll post over there ;)
ReplyDeletethe two dates on hold for Toronto could be for bestival. it's supposed to take place again that weekend. if so, it would be the Sunday night, the 12th.
ReplyDeleteMan I hope it's not a festivel. I think the fact that twilight sad is opening for them it's implying they'll be all solo cure shows.
DeleteI certainly hope not!
DeleteAnyone planning to go to the MD show from DC? I don't have a car, and it doesn't look like there's any public transportation that goes to the venue. Thoughts about the best way to get there?
ReplyDeleteSeattle Fans... Being that Live Nation is scheduling the Northwest tour - I do believe Craig is probably correct in the cure playing Sasquatch. We can only hope for a more intimate setting.
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
ReplyDeleteI sense a "first the puff, then the hit" moment in my bones for some reason..
ReplyDeleteI was really wishing there bay area show wouldn't be at shoreline :(
ReplyDeleteI was really wishing there bay area show wouldn't be at shoreline :(
ReplyDelete"and as yet unreleased tracks" sort of makes it sound like those tracks will get released between now and before the tour starts
ReplyDeletePossibly. But in 2008 they played songs that were not released.
Delete...including a song that STILL has yet to be released, 'A Boy I Never Knew'. I truly feel that it's one of their best ever songs.
DeleteYep, I'm aware of what they did in 2008.
Deletein the UK but so excited to all this unfolding next year...
ReplyDeleteSounds like a greatest hits setlist, with a few obscure tunes, and some new songs. I'll see what they play in New Orleans, TX before I decide on Vegas. Really was hoping for that Top/Head/KMKMKM trilogy but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.
ReplyDeleteThe big question: Will they play 'A Chain of Flowers' for Craig at the tour opener in NOLA?
ReplyDeletethey will @dr.fishbones. @craig what's a good place in new orleans to have a honeymoon at?
ReplyDeleteInteresting concept @Dr.Fishbones..
ReplyDeleteWhy New Orleans as the first show? To pay homage to Craig for his work?
I hope for all of our sakes it's not a "greatest hits" setlist.. I would really like to think being possibly the last time any of us get to see them they will just go right off and mix it all up!
Nothing to do with me.
DeleteThe advert states they will play hits, rarities, and favorites, plus a few new songs.... so if it's a 35 song set...
Delete15 Hits
5 Rarities (B-sides, songs not played in awhile?)
10 Favorites? (Deep Green Sea type stuff?)
5 new songs?
Who knows... but The Cure rarely, if ever, play a pure 'Greatest Hits' setlist. Even in the shortest set list I saw them play (26 songs) they played 'Forever', 'Strange Day', and some other deep cuts...
I don't want to sound negative, but it's absolutely possible that The Cure might never have another official album release. Just like Sisters of Mercy (probably for some different reasons, though). That doesn't mean that Robert and the current line up don't have new tracks. I'm sure we'll hear some on this tour. Just like Sisters of Mercy present some 1 -2 new tracks per year (sometimes, even less) on concerts, just to keep the interest from dying off. Imagine, from business perspective, they put out a new CD or double LP, the hardcore fans don't dig it for some reason, the younger ones miss to pay attention...then some people might decide to not even go to the concerts...Not only weak CD sales, but also half full venues...So, whatever strategy Robert & Co came up with, I think we need to support them...this, my friends, eventually might pay off with a new legitimate fat release...Maybe someday...:)
ReplyDeleteIn other words, they might be testing the response from the crowd to some new songs, new arrangements and stuff, and for sure we might get a glorious DVD, HD, Tour Live album sometime in 2016...and later on, down the road a new album with these new songs that made most sense to the audience...I don't know...just thinking aloud...Cheers...
ReplyDeletei think they will play 4-5 new songs for show as always.
ReplyDeleteI reckon the album will come out before the tour starts. Lets face it, they've had long enough to make one. I dread to think what an album with Reeves on guitar will sound like though. Good guitarist don't get me wrong but he doesn't fit The Cure in my opinion. Hate their live shows with his widdling.
ReplyDeleteHey, Porl was doing the same "widdling" on the 4Tour.
DeleteI think reeves is frustratingly acceptable. On the plus side he breathes some new life into a lot of older songs especially want. I love the added texture he gives the hungry ghost as well. The only disappointing thing about his playing is to my ears anyway, a decent ammount of what he does add takes away from the cure style, like his almost mute playing on lullaby, or the abrasive take on love song.
ReplyDeleteI really am pleased with him for the most part though. We all have our favorites on here, but I think just going through each individual's tenure and what they brought is special enough. You can always revisit it if you want to on the countless bootlegs.
