DeleteBianca and Peter on Twitter say they'd be interested.
ReplyDeleteMarion is in as well.
DeleteA Saturday night aftershow party looks great to me! As long as I'm able to catch the 9 AM Eurostar back to Brussels ;-)
ReplyDeleteAre there plans to meet somewhere before the concert?
I'm sure there will be. But many fans won't be able to make the pre-show meeting, as they'll be lined up to rush for the front of the stage. :)
DeleteExperience has learned that there's no need to do so @ RAH :-) The number of persons allowed over available space ratio is really nice, and is one of the many reasons I really like the venue! Best spot is somewhere in between the PA and the stage imho, by the way.
DeleteAnyways, before the Reflections show, there were some nice gatherings with fans from all over Europe, it would be great to know where everybody's heading!
I guess in the Queens Arms will be a pre party again.
DeleteA lot of people heading to The Queens Arms beforehand. Be difficult to find somewhere after to book on a Friday or Saturday night now.
ReplyDeleteEither Queens Arms or Gloucester Arms for pre gig drinks. People will be at both :)
ReplyDeleteOh and I would be interested to know which North London venue he's referring to before committing to one or the other :)
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing its The Barfly - Camden
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing its The Barfly - Camden
ReplyDeleteCould be the Garage (was T&C 2)?
Deletecorrect guess i would say...bit of a trek, though, and i think people might loose the momentum and the high after a 3h show.....
ReplyDeleteGood point, nearer is definitely better.
DeleteYeah, aftershow near RAH would be a good call.....
ReplyDeleteYeah, aftershow near RAH would be a good call.....
ReplyDelete4 biffos on the way. Looking at the archangel place. Not a huge venue though.
DeleteFor selfish reasons, my preference would be saturday night!!!
ReplyDeleteHaving meetings with venues on monday guys, so fingers crossed! :-)
ReplyDeleteHello everyone ! Attending both shows, I'd be in for pre and after Curedrinks. ´Queens Arms' pre is organised by Angela Stewart on Sat. Is there anything set up on Fri.? I could arrange something...
ReplyDeleteDavid, the Friday will be same as Saturday I would expect. Meetings in both Queens Arms and Gloucester Arms.
DeleteMe and my lil sis will hopefully attend the show. Making up the travel plans right now. And we'll be joining either before drinks or after party, or both :) /Johan (SWE)
ReplyDeleteHi Everybody, Good News! I have secured a club venue just a few minutes walk from Royal Albert Hall for THE CURE Aftershow Parties on both Friday and Saturday nights from 10.45pm until 3am!! The capacity is just 200, so we will be selling tickets for a small sum of £5 to cover the expenses. We will announce all the details on this site before anywhere else!! Hopefully 2moro! :-)

Though some nice track requests have been posted ... what about doing a real Cure Party at these Aftershow Party's? Would make sense, no? We are all there to see The Cure live so why not having a Cure Party with only Cure tracks to dance along to all their beautiful songs?
ReplyDeleteYeah,I'd like that too
ReplyDeleteObviously everything Cure/Robert related would be wonderful!,loads of B-sides,please!!Thanks :)
But if you do mix it up,some Legendary Pink Dots?
Not In Love would be great.
ReplyDeleteAgree with justonekiss on "real Cure party", just Cure related stuff….but if there is other stuff…Siouxsie/Cocteau Twins/Depeche (to name but a few!)
ReplyDelete….Piggy in the Mirror….
B-sides would be the order of the day preferably those off standing on a beach, oh and 'Babble' one of there best B-sides
ReplyDeleteLike to hear Siouxsie & The Banshees 'Night Shift'

"Come to me" please..(..65 days..). seeing 65 at Koko on the thursday before RAH on the Sat,,,hoping RS might do a Placebo type thing though hope is faint.. still, seeing 65 and then RAH in space of three days is about as good as it gets.
ReplyDeleteSixteen Days and Gathering Dust - From MODERN ENGLISH
ReplyDeleteFOOLS DANCE
ReplyDelete;)
+1 for lots of B-sides!! :)
ReplyDeleteI appreciate all the reuests but we shall be making the Cure Aftershow Parties 80% Cure and 20% Cure related i.e Glove, Siouxsie, Creatures, Cranes, Chameleons etc I think that is what the majority of fans want! Correct me if I'm wrong.
ReplyDeleteyes you're right and thank you for asking; would be nice to hear "It used to be me", "Pornography", "The Big Hand". Can't wait! So happy!
DeleteGlad to hear that!
DeleteYeah frank, you are right, 80% Cure is about right with some Siouxsie, "92 Degrees" in particular :)
ReplyDeletenot 91 or 93 but 92 degrees... ;)
DeleteYES!!!
DeleteCHARLOTTE SOMETIMES - at least five times during the evening!!! :) The best Cure-song ever... :) But please: One of the live versions, either from "Concert" or "Paris".
