ReplyDeleteLOL No prob. But does anyone know where to find an mp3 of the extended mix of Boys Don't Cry from 1986? That was never officially released on CD. For that matter, neither was the new voice 7" version. And I think there was a 12" mix of Pictures of You that was also never released to CD.

The extended mix of 'Pictures of you' doesn't available on CD.

DeleteI think there might be another one. 12" vinyl version before Mixed Up came out with the reggae version. But the last time I heard it was in 1990 so I could be wrong.

ReplyDeleteYou can find a few old vinyl mixes re-issued on CD... The lovecats (extended), Let's go to bed (extended), In between days (extended... it is over compressed on the CD, but the quality is good, too)
ReplyDeletePrimary extended - on cd anywhere? There's a good two hours of stuff from '81 to '90 that still hasn't been released digitally. Maddening.
ReplyDeletePictures of You - there's an extended mix and a "strange" mix. Each are about eight minutes long and each are pre-Mixed Up.
You can find the 'Strange remix' (or 'extended dub mix') of POY on Mixed up.
ReplyDeleteThere is a real 'extended mix' of POY... it availables on the 12" vinyl single... and this version isn't on CD.
Primary's extended mix haven't released yet on CD.

ReplyDeleteI use to record these mixes from vinyl to CD... but I'm waiting for the official releases, too.
The real gem is the extended letters to elise (not the blue mix) with the strings... love it.... zero chance of that being on a mixed up 2... :)

ReplyDeleteIf you use the Opera browser to listen to the tracks, then look in Opera's cache, you'll find the mp3's as randomly titled temp (.tmp) files. (Look for the tmp files with several megabytes, and arrange by date modified.) On my Win 7 computer the mp3's were in this folder: C:\Users\(my name)\AppData\Local\Opera\Opera\cache\sesn. I'd have a lot less great music on my hard drive if I didn't use Opera cache.
