Cure return to Russia in Spring 2013?

There's a new article in Russian Rolling Stone (English), and Robert apparently said that The Cure are planning to return to Russia next Spring. Obviously nothing official, could just be a misunderstanding. (Thanks @CloseToCure)

  2. ha ha, and since when do we believe/trust RS? the beauty of this is that it's either lost in translation OR he actually said it but it still won't happen anyway either way? or maybe its just that years of listening to the cure have made me pessimistic!!

    anyway, Удачи to you all...

    1. I don't blame you. I'm still waiting for the official Dream Tour cds, the answers to the questions posed on MySpace, and, of course, Robert's solo album. ;)

    1. as long as there is no qpr or reading player in the squad maybe robert and simon don't care. at least john terry (enemy of the ferdinand family) is on board. this might be another reason maybe the cure won't watch the game.

    2. But I don't think they are. The Hultsfred festival schedule has them showing the match at 20:45, and The Cure don't play until 0:45.

  5. The place they'll be filming the next 3 albums playing in their entirety. Then they'll release a 100 euros package with all of what had been announced but never came out : 5:14 Nightmare, Wish Deluxe, Mixed Up Deluxe, Mixed Up 2, Orange dvd, Show dvd, Paris 2008, Sydney 2011, Robert's solo album, 30th anniversary dvd, Robert's book of the Cure story... I probably forgot a few things . Oh yeah, touring South America, play with a symphonic orchestra.... blah blah blah

  8. I just want to add a little something to my latest comment that could sound bitter : I've always been supportive and I enjoy every single gift The Cure give us since so many years and especially those last 4. I've always been considering that an artist has to be free to create what he wants the way he feels like it. And I have to say that what The Cure acheived went much much furtherer than I could have imagine. I would even love if Robert could even care less about comments, critics, commercial issues.... than he does. For example I'd like to hear some more songs off of WMS to 4:13D during their gigs because despite what is sometimes said, they are better records than TIB, TT or THOTD. There's only one thing I would have changed : announce anything only when it's definitely decided, sure and ready to happen. Robert would answer 'get a life and don't wait for what The Cure will do or won't' . I would tell him that he "teached" us what real art is and our passion goes behond what he may imagine. So it's always a deep frustration not to get something we thought we would get. It can sound a bit childich or whatever but appreciating The Cure is something else than appreciating the last fashionable band. I can witness and understand why their facebook page brought 4.2 million people after 36 years of existence. Release what you want, a whole record of Duran Duran covers if you want, but release it when you said you would ;-) !
