After suffering some problems for a few days, the Alternative Rarities 1988-1989 player at the Disintegration microsite is up and running again. But the downloading of the wallpapers, and email registration, still don't work for me.
Craig, do you have any non-classified info on the artwork? I ask because there is a beautiful piece marked with the 3x3x3 'logo' in the gallery. I'd love to know who created it. Thanks.
7BS: That is the artwork for the Disintegration sampler 3x3x3, but I don't know who created it. Maybe it's listed in the credits of the sampler, and someone who already has their copy can tell us.
Lindsey: Not sure, but I've heard that Lost Music is Robert's publishing company. Or maybe more than that. The name first turned up on the Live in Paris broadcast from last year.
Thanks for looking into the wallpaper issue. However, I have tried the adding .png to the end of the file name, and still can't get it to work. Says it is either an empty file or a corrupt file. Anyone else having this problem? Would love to use some of these wallpapers. Also, for anyone interested, I found that Barnes and Noble has the best price for the Disintegration Deluxe pre-order, online only, for $24.44! No special bonus though, but damn good price!
Thanks Lindsey, wished I had noticed that before I bought the B&N preorder. Just missed it I guess, and thanks Aaron, will look for your downloads of the wallpaper. Aloha all.
Thanks to Craig for the info and Aaron for the wallpapers. If anyone with the sampler would care to reveal the name of the artist, I'd be most grateful.
I hope that Ideal Copy includes the sampler with my order!
I've tried saving the wallpapers as bnp, jpg, and png, with no success. It's just not working for me - or most everyone else, apparently. The player seems to be working fine though. What a treat that is. :)
Has anyone been able to download the wallpapers? No luck for me.
ReplyDeleteNope. Hasn't ever worked for me, and I know others have had the same trouble. I also can't sign up for the email alerts.
ReplyDeleteto download the wallpapers when you click download you add .png to end of the filename.. works then.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Aaron.

On the subject of demos, I've recently converted the WMS Demos from the old thecure.com site to MP3. If anyone is interested, I've uploaded them here.
ReplyDeleteUm, don't adjust your set. The original quality was rather poor. The Dark Ages of the "Information Superhighway" and all that.
