Depeche Mode pre-sales

Just a heads-up to all DM fans. In case you haven't heard, the tour pre-sales start tomorrow for certain cities. Check the DM website, follow the links, and use (password deleted) as your password. Good luck!

Update: DM, or at least BRAT, doesn't want the password posted. Sorry. Be sure to sign up with the DM announcement list, if you want pre-sale passwords.

  2. Wow, thanks for advertising the presale password for all the ticket brokers out there.

  3. Yeah, some people would know not to put a presale password on a web site or blog especially when they've been asked in Depeche Forums not to.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Are you serious? I'm not on any of the DM forums. Should I remove it? Did Brat ask for that?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Really? Posting a password that was clearly asked NOT TO BE POSTED on the site you got the password from???? You're only hurting fans by doing this. you're allowing the scalpers of the world access to something that they shouldn't have... You should respect the wishes of the DM site and not post presale information!!!!!!!!!

  6. I got the password from the e-mail announcement, not the website. The e-mail made no mention of keeping it secret. I see what BRAT posted now, and have removed the password.

  7. What's the best way for fans who weren't signed up for the announcement list, to get the password? Or is it too late?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Don't let the catty dm fans get to you man.

  9. Craig: I wouldn't worry about it. Seems like a bit of mis-communication!

  10. Putting the passwords out in the open makes it easier for scalpers. Craig made an honest mistake. The password is removed now. No worries.

In the future, for further pre-sale passwords, just sign up to the DM Announcement List. It's free, and we don't spam you.

  11. Thanks BRAT. I honestly didn't know it was a problem until I read your post at DM.com. DM does things differently than The Cure. : )

  12. Thanks for the info Craig! I'm checking the site and my email daily for the Dallas show presale information.

I can't wait to see them in August!

  13. What are the odds of scalpers looking at COF FOR Depeche Mode??

    ReplyDelete
  14. I would think it much more likely that they are all signed up for the announcement list, but what do I know? : )

  15. dang.....i got DM tickets the last time they toured outside the key for like $25 from what i assume to be scalpers as they looked nothing like DM fans what so ever. i know 4 other ppl who did the same thing... do scalpers really make that much on DM tickets that they need presale info?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Craig, that's what I was wondering? What stops them from signing up for the announcement??

    ReplyDelete
  17. I don't know why I didn't get the email. I know I was on the emailing list before because I remember getting updates all the time. I didn't realize I stopped getting them until now.

  20. DM has changed their pre-sale email system - I had to sign up again as well. No pre-sale for Toronto yet, though :( Oh well, never had much luck getting decent tix with them anyway.

  21. this presale is a joke.
    for msg at least...
can't even buy 2 tickets on the floor.
and the single floor seats offered are all the way in the back.

  22. I like how this person, Los Angelista, just pops in out of nowhere and raises hell. Like he/she's been there all along, lurking in the dark recesses of COF, waiting, just waiting, for some DM-related slip-up and ... ta-da! Busted! I know that we few thousand COF faithfuls spanning the globe are indeed the cause of much harm to both DM and society-in-general, so this sort of sleuthing behavior is perfectly justified and reasonable. Totally.

  23. jeff k i totally agree. this really pissed me off.

craig, you do not fuck things up. you had no idea. don't beat yourself up about it.

and i had no idea that dm fans could be such douchebags. coming on here for the lone purpose of being a sarcastic shit-stirrer? yeah, thats right, honey. i mean you. and if you dont like it, then my email address is in my profile. let's dance.

  24. Still no password sent to my inbox and the presale for Denver is going on 30 minutes... technology is so amazing!

  25. Leave Craig Alone!!! Little mode muses, get a freakin Life already.

  26. Guys, thank you, but everything is fine. Pre-sales make everyone tense. : )

    ReplyDelete
  27. Thanks Craig, the seats for this presale are awful...this is just not cool at all.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Screamer: Maybe you were too late. They had rows 1-6 available. Many fans got them. : )

But Houston WAS horrible. : (

    ReplyDelete
  29. Phoenix is just as bad now, already in section 115... but any seat at Red Rocks is amazing. Friends did end up getting 2nd row at Red Rocks though, time to schmooze em :)

    ReplyDelete
  30. Screamer: Looks like those tickets are still there!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Craig, looks like my friends also got Phoenix section A front row, I think my typing is just too slow. Thank you for the help!!!

  32. I've been on DM website mailing list for the longest time and did not receive the password. Thankfully, someone I know who did gave it to me so I now have a great seat at Hollywood Bowl.

  33. Looks like I'll be hitting up scalpers before the show! NICE!

  34. ...eagerly awaiting Mar 16 to get my tix..YAY !!!! I still hope for a vancouver date, but hence Seattle will suffice :P :P.

    ReplyDelete
  35. March 16th for me too! Can't wait. Maybe I'll have my boyfriend do the presale thing instead of me. Knowing my luck my internet connection will go down at work 5 minutes before the presale starts!

Never done this before so can anyone tell me how many tickets you can buy at one time? A big group of us are going to the Dallas show and I'm in charge of getting the tickets! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  36. Pussycat: Here's the ticket limit info from the Houston show. Dallas should be the same.

"There is a 4 ticket limit during the presale and an 8 ticket limit for the public onsale. There is a 10 ticket limit for the Citi Cardmember Preferred Seating Offer."

    ReplyDelete
  37. Oh man! That really sucks! Looks like it's me and boyfriend in the good seats then! LOL! I'll have to get the others during the public sale.

    Thanks for the info Craig!

  38. Oh I do love DM but I've haven't seen them for years. I went to several DM shows back in the 80's and they were always great. Are they still pretty good live now?

Maybe I'll try for the AC show? Doesn't look like there's a pre-sale for that show but I don't need the best seats so it's not big deal if I get them at the regular sale.

And DM fans take it easy, it's nothing to get all that upset about. Scalpers will already have the tickets no matter what. They have their ways to get the tickets!

  39. cure_kitty,

I have seen DM a few times and I've had an amazing time each and every show! I was 2nd row in front of Martin in Vegas a few years back and I had the time of my life!

  40. I saw them on their last tour and Dave's voice is spot on (plus he can still take his shirt off and look HOT). LA LOVES DM so it was a packed house at Staples. I was lucky enough to be at the Rose Bowl show recorded over 20 years ago and they still have the same power. I wouldn't miss this

  41. why is Depressed Mode? I mean if you kids these days want to go a concert, if that's what you're calling it, after you figure the treachery, if you will, of certain passcodes which are manipulating your very minds with subliminal messages like do heroin.. Then who am I to go on a web site and start posting things out of the blue after 19 cocktails? Am I saying something that is so very wrong that you can't for once not stop to think about how right I am when I'm not wrong? So, we should all think about that and then maybe we can finally put all this behind us and we can all we all get on with all of our lives, sitting in the front rows at Depeche Mood Swing concertss, enjoying 19 cocktails while celebrating Porl's birthday. That's what I usually do so I don't know why you're suddenly judging me. But I've decided not to judge you for judging my judgements of me not judging you.
    So, that's interesting.

  42. If brains were gasoline, Loser Angelista wouldn't have enough to drive a gnat's go-cart around the inside ring of a fruit-loop.

  43. I joined the DM Announcement List one day too late to receive the internet presale for the Atlanta show. My mistake.

    However...

I logged onto Ticketmaster today and took some wild guesses at the presale code. First guess was incorrect, second guess was incorrect, but three times was a charm and I was able to purchase tickets. I intended to get lawn seats anyway, so there was no hurry, but it was fun to correctly guess a presale code. (It's not that difficult to guess for DM fans.).

  44. pussycat, a friend recently did buy more than the alotted tix on another presale. you can always try, maybe in 2 sets of tix. that's what she did.

  45. Thanks for the DM info ght & cureheart! I haven't seen them since 1990 for the Violation Tour so I just wanted to know if they still sounded good. So I think I'll definitely go to the Atlantic City Show. I'll get my sister to buy me the tickets for my B-day which is 2 days before that show. Thanks again!

And if The Cure decides to do an East Coast Show, they should play in AC at the Borgata like DM!!!!! It's a cool venue even though AC is the ashtray of the Atlantic!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Thanks lisalovecat! I actually worked it out with a friend so that he will buy 4 tickets and I will buy 4. This way there is no issue. We'll just have to hope that the seats we get are somewhere near each other.

@ cure_kitty: Concert tickets for birthday presents are awesome! That is how I got to see The Cure last year. I'm also giving a few of the tickets for DM as birthday presents. It's always good to share the joy of DM & The Cure!
