The Crawley Observer reminisces

The Crawley Observer has a nice little article about the early days of Malice and Robert.

  1. That article's given me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside for some reason! =)

  2. Really interesting reading this. I went to the same school, albeit a few years after Robert had left. I was taught by all the same teachers in the article! Robert definitely made a huge impression on the school and loads of the pupils during my time there were big cure fans (and many, including myself, remain so!). I remember an old history teacher (who is now sadly no longer with us) showing us some photographs of Robert and Mary on a school field trip.

  4. Nice article. Like the reference to Robert's footballing skills, "He had really flat hair," a bit like saying "yeah I went played against Georgie Best, I remember him because he was really clean shaven!"

Good to see him taled about so fondly though!

  6. Thanks guys. I do feel kind of lucky that I went to the same school as Robert but am still frustrated that I've never actually met him! I was actually at school with Simon's nephew who was a really cool guy (again, I never met Simon - I didn't make good use of my contacts at the time and now regret it!). Unfortunately I've lost contact with him now. I now actually only work about 10 miles away from Roberts house, just outside Bognor Regis, so maybe one day I'll bump into him!
