  4. Monkeybutt, that remindes me, remember someone saying a while back that the hidden track on the new album would be a cover of 'Wake me up before you go-go"?

What the hell was that all about... LOL.

  6. Yeah, I remember Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go...
    Wonder who said that... <_<

Anyhooo, Without You will be a cover of the David Bowie song, found on Let's Dance, 1983.

    Thanx Friend of COF!

  7. I know that Wake me up will be a real slow take, apparently. A really slow and depressing take on the original. We will be surprised.

  12. I think the lyrics to "WIthout You" will go something like this:

And I know I was wrong
When I said it was true
That it couldn't be me and be her
    Inbetween without you
    Without you

  14. Jarbee, sounds like a good song!
But not too good I hope, I don't want this to turn into another b-side better than a-side kinda thing... you know.

  15. Anyone else think this might be "Christmas Without You" retitled? Sounds promising...

  16. Noooo! We need that song for the Dark Christmas album!!!
    *Starts coughing blood*
    *Throws a fit*
    *Is not really serious*

  18. Great news, now we already know the name of the 8 tracks officialy released.

"Without You" is another line often used on Cure songs, but as someone said "sounds promising" and for me sounds like a sad song as well ( A very good one, i'm trusting on it )

I´m excited since now and i need to listen both tracks.

Shamely i have to wait like 28 days and nights more.

Thanks a lot to Craig and the "misterious" Friend of COF for spreading the word.

    :)

  19. Craig, do you have any info on 'Without You'? I honestly can't remember if bits and scraps got leaked.

  20. It seems this is the song whose working title was "Christmas without you".

    ReplyDelete
  21. Not to be confused with 'Christmas Without You' as mentioned on the Cure's Wikipedia page???

    ReplyDelete
  22. WAAAAAAH!!!!! No Christmas album for sure now.... Seriously, I think this has ruined my day. I'd gotten really foolishly hopeful about the Dark Christmas album.... Dammit....

  25. I wonder if this song will contain a chorus that contains the words "Inbetweeeeen Days! Inbetween Daaayyys!" (Get it? nudge, nudge)

  26. Hey all, long time reader, first time poster. 29 and from Philly. Been a huge huge Cure fan since 1992. Anyway....I thought it would be great if they released a double album with 13 positive songs and 13 uh...not so positive songs. Then do 5 bsides. Does that math make sense? How many songs were recorded for the album? I want to say 33...then that math wouldn't work.

  27. I always like the idea of light and dark, too. 13l +13d + n b-sides = x tracks works for me! ;-)

  28. cosmic - that was, like, astoundingly funny. well done.

  29. Is it possible that this track is something we have heard, only renamed?
