Cameras allowed at Fairfax/D.C. show

"I just wanted to pass on that i had sent an email to the GMU Patriot center question forum after having read that camera's are not always prohibited , It depends on the Artist. I received this response in regards to the email sent. Just wanted to pass along and hope to see everyone there. "

We are advised that "personal, non-professional" cameras are OK. No audio or video recording. Thanks.

  2. Don't know, you would have to contact the venue and ask what their policy is.

  3. I've been in contact with someone at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto and they told me as far as they knew, point and shoot cameras were allowed. He also said if anything changed he would let me know. I can't see them making exceptions at one venue and not another if it's up to the artist. I'm bringing mine!

  4. Ooh, I am going to send an email to ask the folks at Red Rocks to see if cameras will be allowed at the Denver show as well. I will let you know if I get a response.

  5. What a joke!

Practically every pocket cam has video capability with sound.

    Shoot, most cell phones do!

  6. Point and shoot allowed at Air Canada? I guess that their policies are different than the Molson Amphitheatre. I had to sneak my camera in in my underclothes, but somehow the film, which was in my pockets, went undetected. The result? I was able to blow through 4 rolls at Curiosa, with about 80 of those shots being of The Cure. A pity that only about 1/4 of them were any good.

  7. I just got the following response from Red Rocks - unless The Cure has a last minute change of heart, it looks like small cameras will be allowed there as well!

We haven't heard anything different than our general policy of allowing small, personal cameras. No large lenses, no detachable lenses, no pro cameras. However, I have known band's to change their minds on the day of show. We try to post that on the roads and at the bottom of the ramps when that happens.
