Six months ago O’Shea-Phillips was sent a trove of 6,000 unseen pictures taken during rehearsals for Top of the Pops. They show bands such as Siouxsie and the Banshees (including Robert Smith of The Cure guesting on guitar) forced to perform on make-shift stages to an empty studio floor, save for a few bored looking cameramen and technical crew.
