no - in the concert industry, it is typical to budget the size of the production, so that even if a show is only 50% sold - it will break even. So money is always made at 51% and up. this set up in particular is actually fairly lean and not at all elaborate.
I was in Berlin on the 4tour. The bars were still serving long after the cure finished and we got to watch the entire set being dismantled. The organisation and order that the entire set was taken down with was astounding to watch.
From all those that I've seen the disassembling seems to be incredibly faster.

ReplyDeleteThat is interesting. I never realized they had to actually assemble their own stage - no wonder they need so many trucks !
