  6. That yellow griffen lion thing is unfinished right? I would never buy that! But to each his own I suppose.
(Does it look like a mini body or what?

    1. If you watch the video, they explain that the one being held there isn't finished.

And you can't buy it. It's not a production model, it's a special request from Simon.

  7. Simon's bass is probably a reference to a soccer team yes?

    1. I assume it's the England Lion, but our English friends would know better than me.

    2. And the rose is the sign of Blackburn Rovers.

    3. Reading FC have a lion as part of their club crest, but it doesn't look like the one on the bass

I would tend to agree with Craig with the England symbology.. The Rose would fit in with that as well as it is the national emblem of England..

Perhaps its a patriotic symbol with the football European Championships beginning in June..??

    7. My friend Max suggested me that it could be a cycling reference. We know that Simon is a Biker, that lion could be a reference to Tour of Flanders: it is one of the five monuments of cycling. The nickname "Lion of Flanders" is given to bikers that have associated their name with this race. For example, this was the nickname of Fiorenzo Magni, a great italian biker, the only one to put himself in the fight between the 2 greatest bikers of all times: Gino Bartali and Fausto Coppi (and Simon has a Fausto Coppi's picture on his ampli)

    10. Thecure.pl says its a Scottish lion so it could be some kind of connection with The twilight sad.

    12. Favourite flag of Flemish separatists. Paint the rose red or make the lion have sex with a red rooster. I don't think most of the audience will get the biking reference so it'll just please flemish nationalists in Antwerp. It's kind of weird considering the context. I hope they play in the new "Palais 12" with better acoustics in Brussels next time.

    13. I'd be equal parts surprised and saddened if the lion was being used, in any way, as a nationalist symbol by a Cure member.

"There are no lions in England".

  8. I hope that 'It can never be the same' is not some kind of secret information about the end.

  9. Could 'It can never be the same' be related in Any way to 'It never was the same' by The Twilight sad ? Knowing that it's the song that was initially suggested by the band to Robert? Probably too far fetched from me !

  10. That 12 string will be the next signature guitar. Yes. Maybe he'll be all pompous and play Stairway! HA!

  11. I'm going with "ITCANNEVERBETHESAME" as the new album title. Forever the optimist. And.... The Fibonacci Sequence must reference a new song about the universe. <3

  12. The rose is one of Simon's tattoo

  13. Maybe the star is a sort of tribute to Bowie...

    2. Agree as well. The Shechters are classless. The band lost a lot of their sound when they ditched their beautiful vintage instruments and started playing nu metal guitars with bumper stickers on them. Sad.

  19. Definitely thinking that star is some kind of tribute to Bowie. What a gorgeous looking guitar <3
Either way, super excited over here in Aus for July 28th!

  20. I noticed that a couple of the tour t-shirts also appear to reference the Fibonacci sequence as well; in the Fibonacci Spiral and the pattern of florets in a sunflower. <3
