  2. Thanks for posting! Does anyone know if there's a difference between Local Presale and Chase Preferred Cardmember Presale in terms of getting better seats?

    1. In the first one, there seemed to be a better selection of seats for the Chase presale.

    2. Thanks! Good luck tomorrow everyone.

  3. Only doing 1 show...night #2. Wish I had the time to do all three.

Beginning to wonder if these initial cities being in 3s are perhaps special in some way (w/ Chicago 3rd as possible festival?). Trilogy shows? With an opening (great) band there's less chance of those epic 3 hour + shows but who knows? Always a surprise!

Buying tickets to shows with no details on their purpose (new album...theme?) and the shows "selling out" displays A LOT of fan support and enthusiasm for The Cure. I am impressed!!

Whatever the set lists may be, they're gonna be awesome! Always have been eh?

    1. At the latin american tour they had multiple opening acts and they still played 3 hour shows.

    3. but remember - curfew hours set by the venues, is a result of local city policies. American venues tend to be very strict on noise limitations after 11 or 11:30pm

      Delete
    4. NYC should have a late curfew but maybe they don't. The curfew thing is ridiculous for a contained concert (not outdoors) and in the "city that never sleeps".

I would love a 4 hour show like they pulled off in Mexico City a couple years ago. It seems they enjoy to play long shows.

      Delete
    5. I'm pretty sure MSG's curfew is 11, but they will probably break it.

      Delete
    6. That's going to make for three short shows, by Cure standards, if that's the case.

      Delete
    7. Curfews at many venues have little to do with noise and lots to do with how long the workers at the venue are contracted to work for. Union venues can be especially pricey to violate curfew at.

      Delete
    8. Makes sense Josh. I expected 11 as the standard but thought it was related to noise more than workers' contracts.

I'm with JH and expect (hope) they'll break it.

      Delete
    9. FYI: The last MSG show went until 11:57pm, so I'm reasonably sure that the curfew isn't 11, but more likely 11:30 or midnight.

    10. I love the fact that they continue to play until, literally, someone pulls the plug. I think the last time I saw them they finished the song with the audience a capella.

  7. I think the initial cities that are going to have three shows are going to get the next trilogy but not all on the same night for example night one the top night 2 head on the door and night three Kiss me

  11. Is it really not possible for anyone to find out from a band rep why no live DVD's have been released? There are obviously some kind of press conferences around a tour....I've seen clips before......there's no band management is there?.....is there absolutely no way of finding out? Really?????

    1. Dave, what do you mean? 'Trilogy' has been released on both dvd and Blu-ray and 'Festival 2005' has been released on dvd.

      Delete
    2. I am guessing that dave is referring to the live concerts from Paris 2008, Reflections and the LatAm Tour, all of which were filmed and were meant to have been commercially released.. :)

    3. Correct - I don't want to start the whole old discussion on this again hence just wondering why nobody can get an answer from an official source instead of being in the dark. Not just the above shows but also 'Show' and 'In Orange".

    4. Robert gave an official answer about 'Reflections', and it was absolute crap. You can find a post about it here on CoF.

  13. All of the passwords are valid, and I just scored two singles, the best of which is in Sec. C, Row 14. Would anyone like the other one? It's a floor seat, but it's in Sec. E, Row 6.

  14. That's great! All 3 passwords worked for me too, but not the Chase preferred. Maybe it's not good for the presale. Had to try 3 web browsers before getting something half way decent. Got sec 108 much better than my luck the other 2 nights. Hope everyone else is getting good spots.

  16. I've had bad luck with TM for all 8 shows! Got mid grade seats for the 2nd L.A. show and 119 in NYC. I get on right away and then wait the 12 minutes while tix are being sold! Oh well, I guess I shouldn't complain I AM going to at least 2 shows! Here's hoping they come to Texas! Cheers!

    1. I had that same luck for LA but used the Ticketmaster app for NYC and had great luck with it. If they play near you, try using it next time!

    2. VanillaSmile, I have a decent floor seat for NYC #3. Are you interested?

  17. I have one seat, section A, row 21, seat 9 for the Monday show at MSG if anyone is looking for a seat. Face value inc. the TM fee. Let me know if so. Psyched for this.

  18. 'The Top' will not be part of these shows; they played that one in it's entirety already in 2014 for the 30th anniversary.

Friend spoke to one of the band members after the show and was told it won't be brought back, the only current band member who played on it was RS.

Highly doubtful these will be 'full album' shows, if they are, it will just be 'Head on the Door' and 'KMKMKM', which were very popular in the US whilst 'The Top' was not...

Who knows? I think it's good they are touring again, but want to see the other dates.

    1. I'm fine with not getting the full 'The Top', but do you think that they'll do any of it other than the usual 'Shake Dog Shake'?

      Delete
    2. This thought crossed my mind since they did play The Top (or most of it) from 2012-2014.

A set of THOTD & KMKMKM would be heaven. Each of their albums I love but I seem to listen to these two LPs the most. LOVE THE B-SIDES FROM THE 85/87 12"s THE MOST.

      "To The Sky"!!!!

As Dusty Springfield sang: "wishing hoping and praying".

  20. Keep checking ticketmaster everyone. I just got section A, row 11 -- pair of tickets together (that I actually got separately-- one on my app and one on my browser. stranger.)

  21. How fucked up is it that all of these section A & C tickets are somehow available 8 hours after the presale??? I'm pulling up lots of tickets in those sections.

    1. Wow. Now I regret buying that first ticket.

    2. A friend got section B on the general sale for the first show... so maybe tomorrow.

  22. Yes just bought A & C sections. But realizing in total I took 5 tickets... Do you think TM can cancel my orders due to ticket limit on presale...? Maybe happened to others and explains why these A & C sections were availableone our ago...

  23. Keep checking on the Ticketmaster app! I just got two tickets together in Section B Row 26! There are a lot of floor tickets popping up on it!

  24. A quick question for those who are doing electronic transfers of tickets of the NYC tickets: How are you doing it? I want to sell one of my tickets, but I don't see a "transfer" button on my account for any of the tickets that I've bought thus far. I plan to buy another tonight from a CoFer, but if I can't transfer any of mine, then how will they be able to transfer one to me?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I've never done it but it seems easy on the iPhone app. You basically just send an email through the app and when they click the link they get transferred.

      Delete
    2. Unfortunately I don't have an iPhone or any other kind of smartphone.

      Delete
    3. I'm currently trying to accept a transfer from another CoFer for a ticket to NYC #2, and Ticketmaster is telling me that tickets can no longer be transferred for the show. Ticketmaster's customer service office is closed until 9am, so we can't resolve anything until then. :\

      Delete
    4. I used the Ticketmaster website and there was a Transfer button when I viewed the individual ticket. It's still pending but I assume it will go through. I'm on Chrome for Mac OS if that makes a difference. What browser were you using?

      Delete
    5. Firefox. Trust me, it just won't work. The person who was trying to send a ticket to me successfully started the ticket transfer, but it just isn't working, and we've tried multiple times.

      Delete
    6. Ticketmaster's phone support helped me out a few years back but that was in 2008

      Delete
    7. I've called Ticketmaster, and so has the person who's been trying to transfer the ticket. Their suggestions have not been helpful.

  25. Anyone get good seats today in the general? Best I found was a single ticket in Section B row 17. I already have a pair in Section A, row 11 so I passed.

Also, I have one spare ticket to the Monday show if anyone wants to buy it at face value. Section C row 23, middle of the row. Single ticket. Reply here if interested.

  26. Monday At MSG i got two floor seats in Section B Row 24...Problem is they were each a single i pulled. SO i have 2 single tix in this row about 5 seats apart. Anyone have 1 single ticket in that row? Hoping to find a swap so i have a pair...

Else i will be selling 2 x row 24 Section B at face value.

    LMK.

  29. The Sunday show says date is subject to confirmation due to play off scheduling, forgive my ignorance but how far in advance is that likely to be confirmed? I have tried a few Google searches and can find no obvious answers, suffice to say I don't want book a flight to NYC until I know exactly when the show is taking place... :-/

    1. If that's the case, then the NHL Rangers would have to have made it to the Stanley Cup Final(won't be for the NBA Knicks, they stink). That won't be determined until earlier playoff rounds in April and May. Hope this helps.
