Rumor: More festival shows next year?

From a journalist at Les Inrockuptibles:

"Well, well, The Cure will play some festivals next summer..."

Update (11/08/14): Now JD says that some festival offers have been made to the band, but they haven't answered yet. I'm sure I'm not the only one (horrible song) who hopes for an end to the festival circuit, and more real Cure shows next year (in cities other than London). (Thanks @guillaume_g_z)

    There is a rumor that says they will play on Jarocin Festival in Poland. I'm from Poland so hope it's true! :-D

    Jarocin festival is legendary! I remember listening to tapes from some new wave, punk bands rioting in Jarocin in late 80's....That'll be great, if they play there.

    ...really, this rumor has been around Wish Tour, but it does not change anything. It was a long time ago but the dream is the same.

      No, now he says that it's just that some festivals have asked The Cure to play this Summer, but they have not answered yet.

      Agree!! Love The Only One! Piano and the tone of the song in the part "it is a mess out there", "its so sweet in there" is fantastic.
      Give it another chance! :)

    So his first tweet was wrongly affirmative for the future. I would have liked him to write 'may' instead of 'will', it woud have cause me less disappointment (see them at festival is better than not see them at all) i suppose.

    and i think the only one is a good pop single too :)
